The first time I went here my dog was overdue for a haircut, and I normally groom her, but life is busy, so wanted to try taking my Maltese/Shih Tzu here. I made sure that she was brushed out well. I asked for a full grooming, etc. and it was $73. They left her looking very pretty, but didn't do much on her head/face. I had to blend the body and head and trim up her face. I knew it wasn't going to last long. The 2nd time I took her I called and said that I'd already groomed she, but I wanted them to grind her nails and trim her feet/pads. They said they could do that. I brought her in and they did a hack job on her face! I'll never go here again. They don't verify or communicate before charging ahead. The groomer scolded her with the wrong name and was very rushed, grabbing her chin hair and cutting even as my dog wasn't holding still at all. read more

Whoever was working Saturday 4-15-23was rude, impatient and did just an average job on our pet. She complained about our dog wanting to sit the whole time and that she was crying a lot. I just took my dog to Bluebonnet Grooming for the first time today and it was absolutely great. Their customer service is beyond from the time I made the appointment until I picked her up. Casey was her groomer and he did a marvelous job. It's great to have a fantastic dog grooming business near our lovely town of Bulverde; and refreshing to have people that you feel actually care about your animals. Have been using them for several years, however something has changed. Quality of the grooming has really gone down hill. Cuts are uneven and spots are missed. Also they are extremely slow because they over book. It should not take 3-4 hours to bath and from a dog. read more

Only recommend if you've got 7 hours and twice the money to blow. We have taken our dogs here a few times over the past three years and it has definitely gotten worse with time. They claimed our dog needed breaks and that's why it took so long but never called to say he was having issues or that it would cost more. All they did was text saying it would take more time and to pick him up later. On top of that, they only washed and brushed him, didn't even cut his hair so now we have to do that ourselves, even though they charged us twice the price quoted. They claimed he has hip issues and wouldn't stand, even though he has never shown hip issues before and we stated such and they said " oh they act different for their owners ". I was asked to never bring my dog back, but we wouldn't have anyway. read more

Brought our girls here for their first ever groom at Blue Bonnet, they did an amazing job on my havanese but seem to have forgotten about my chihuahua (who only needed bath and nails). I asked how they were when I picked up, and they said they were great. It wasn't until I got home that I noticed I needed to trim my chihuahuas nails myself and she didn't even smell clean like my havanese did! They've both been to plenty of other groomers, so I doubt they were difficult. I won't be bringing them back because I felt that I was cheated on paying for my chihuahuas service, I'm going to try a different groomer. read more

I keep giving this place a chance and today was the final nail in the coffin. For one my dog is a puppy, meaning he likes to chew, they put him in a kennel with his leash and harness. He chewed through the leash and they tell me that it's still attached to the harness when it's in several pieces. Mind you I've paid full price and tipped prior to seeing my puppy. Then dexter comes out with the worst haircut of his life, to the point that I was fighting tears back. I came home and I personally cut his hair to make it look acceptable. The people that work their aren't the best at people at people skills not even customer service. I always get there early to drop off my dog at 8am on a Saturday and they don't not open the door till 8am even though they have serval people waiting outside. This is not a place I recommend at all if you want good customer service or a decent dog grooming. This place sucks read more

This is the worst groomers we have ever been to. They did not treat my pets very well. One of the groomers literally threw my tiny Yorkie in my car when helping me load them up. If that is any indication of how they treat animals while being watched. I don't even want to think of how they treat other pets without the owner being present. read more

I have taken my dog to this groomer about 5 times. It has gotten progressively worse and I will not return. His ears were not trimmed on the inside, his underneath was not trimmed shorter, as is usually done by every other groomer. In general, just not very good. And this took 5 hours. read more

They were NOT particularly friendly OR KIND, to my dogs They ALWAYS seemed TOO BUSY, to be concerned with who we were. It's just NOT fair to the public to post only good reviews. My wife just picked up our Min Schnauzer. She was told that she was too matted. We brushed her but she DID have matting as this was a tough winter and she needed sweaters, she is 7 months and 10 lbs and shakes when she is cold. The girl at the front complained she was too matted, wife said she would pay extra. Crystal came from back and said it would be OK. Wish she would have given us back the dog as they shaved her completely except for the beard. Cut looks awful. Our dog has only been to this groomer, this is second time. Never again. If they want to complain when you bring in the dog, then tell you its fine and not to worry, keep your word or give the dog back. Just like another post above, Do not tip or pay until you see your dog. Will find another groomer, poor service and at least 1employee has a poor attitude. read more

Absolutely THE BEST groomers in San Antonio! I have a Yorkshire Terrier and I have her groomed every 4 weeks. They do a wonderful haircut on her and she LOVES going to her "salon" appointments. The entire staff are very friendly, very professional, and very knowledgeable about all breeds. We were using Bluebonnet; however, we won't be going back. We got there to pick up my little boy and when we asked them to trim his ears a little more, they cut part of his ear off. We left because they needed to try and get the bleeding to stop and the owner wasn't there. Apparently the owner is the only one who is allowed to use the silver nitrate. When I called about it later, all they said was "well that happens sometime when the owners are here. He didn't lose any skin..." Seriously!!! No apology? Obviously he lost skin, if he was bleeding and wouldn't stop bleeding afterwards. $55 to have part of my dog's ear CHOPPED off! I'm still waiting on my dog AND a call from the owner. This has got to be the WORST business practice ever. read more
