Small playground for younger kids. Large covered pavilion. And special weekends get the haywagon fired up for rides, specialty cookouts such as pig roast and we all just bring a covered dish to share, ice cream nights and bingo games, and the occassional band, dj, dance. The stars are bright and camping areas are surrounded by trees. Stay up close to the group in main area, or chose a more quiet tent area past the grove of pines. Close drive to Everett. Great for October weekends during Bedford Fall Foliage or Hartzlog Festival in Alexandria. Beautiful colors during the fall season great for photography.

I feared for my safety and the safety of my traveling companions. I immediately rushed my child to the car and decided that there was no need to see the room. His colorful vocabulary included the F and N-bombs. I spoke with other people who actually saw the rooms and stayed the night. One lined the bed with trash can liners and slept on top of them. Others brought their own sheets and still were disgusted by the state of the motel. Motel 30 was open and had positive recommendations from other local hoteliers who were closed for the season. The rooms are very simple and spare. A bed, a dresser, a shelf, a small TV and air conditioner/heater and a small bathroom with shower and sink. The furnishings were vintage which had a nice funky charm. Not the most up-to-date furnishings, but everything was in very good condition. It looked like only ours and one other room was occupied, and the owners left a tiny vase of fresh carnations out which was a nice touch. Above all, though, it was absolutely fastidiously CLEAN, which is really all we cared about. And the price was hands-down the cheapest I've ever had a hotel room for. The owners couldn't have been friendlier or more flexible about our odd arrival particulars. So clean rooms with everything you need and nothing you don't with real, personalized hospitality at a bargain price. Would definitely stay here again!

Took the chance and called motel 30 to find out if they had a room and what the rates were. Sue one of the owners very helpfull had a room ready for us when we arrived and it was very clean and had a small thing of carnations sitting on the dresser(what a nice touch). Its not your big chain motel very small very homey. If you want all the newest go somewhere else if you want a nice room at a great price and great owners stay at motel 30.
