This park if I have the boundaries right is quite a bit smaller but beautiful all the same as you can see views of the mountains and rivers. There is a trail that starts in this park and leads you to a portion of Al Borling which consists of the river bank, sand bars and nature trails. Seems like this park is more geared for family outings in the green grass and pic nics but in the end it doesn't really matter what park you are in. It's all beautiful and was a great way to spend the extra time we had while in Monroe.

There are plenty of spots around the lake to spread out a picnic blanket, cast a fishing line, or launch a canoe or kayak. They also have covered picnic shelters that can be reserved for BBQs, birthday parties, or other gatherings. The park is well maintained. The playground is in great shape for kids, and the restrooms were surprisingly clean. There are basketball courts, tennis courts, baseball fields, and lots of open space to enjoy. There's plenty of parking, which makes visiting easy.
