Robins were out foraging in the grass of the soccer fields and a thin haze of wildfire smoke helped block out some of the sun's rays. A couple of the areas of the park were taped off for work to be done without interruption. Parking along the soccer fields was abundant. A few other vehicles/groups came and went while I was here including dog walkers/owners and a police car. Around the perimeter of the soccer fields was a paved walking path with faded painted arrows denoting which direction to travel. Signs along the path communicated the distance of two laps was approximately one mile.

There are plenty of spots around the lake to spread out a picnic blanket, cast a fishing line, or launch a canoe or kayak. They also have covered picnic shelters that can be reserved for BBQs, birthday parties, or other gatherings. The park is well maintained. The playground is in great shape for kids, and the restrooms were surprisingly clean. There are basketball courts, tennis courts, baseball fields, and lots of open space to enjoy. There's plenty of parking, which makes visiting easy.

One of the soccer fields is not surrounded by nets and in rough shape. The other two main fields are surrounded by nets. The spectator area around the fields is quite limited. The baseball/softball fields are old school dirt and grass with a center structure that is made for hosting tournaments. For being a dirt/grass field, they are in great shape. There is a small playground near the soccer fields. The restrooms are located near the playground and under the center structure in the middle of the baseball/softball fields. This park is a popular park for local teams.

I haven't seen a dog fight or aggressive dog in the time I've been going. The restroom is clean and open year-round. The do turn off the water inside the dog park so we usually bring some.

We've only ever come here for soccer events, but the kids love the playground when we do come…read more It's always super clean, which I love. I never see any trash laying around, and the trash cans are always empty, or at least not over flowing with garbage. Other than that, I love the place.
