After that I received a quote from all of them within 48 hours. The reason I decided to go with AZ Custom Landscapes was because I was very impressed with how Martin explained the project to me and he was the only one who mentioned a weed barrier for the areas where I wanted to add small rocks. It was easy to work with Kary during the entire project and her responses to my question were quick especially to my design changes. Also, their price fell somewhere in the middle of the 4 quotes I received and it came with a 2 year guarantee. When the project started, Martin walked me through what he and his team will be doing during the week. Once they got done, they cleaned everything nicely and walked me through to get my approval. They also built a built-in BBQ for me and ran the natural gas to the BBQ.  Before I hired them, I bid the job out to three different companies.  AZ Custom Landscapes was the most professional throughout that process, and the only company that gave me a detailed bid in only a couple of days (the others took much longer!) and the only that could do it all themselves. In a final attempt, I asked for a referral, and they gave Braulio's info and high praises. They were right! Braulio answered all questions in a very knowledgable manner, gave the second lowest price out of six bids, and was the most professional across the board. Even hitting a snag with the project, which is not uncommon in construction, he made sure there was communication, follow through, and resolution. I couldn't ask for anything more. He did a great job and at a reasonable price. Even with me being a bit of a control freak, Braulio never missed a beat. We made sure that there was clarity on what I wanted, what he could provide, and if it was a good fit. This project was for cutting back my block wall and widening the gate opening, as well as using a composite material for pickets versus wood. We are very pleased!
