Michael, the owner, and Anthony helped me with my move today and I am so grateful to have had their assistance. I requested a quote using Yelp and Michael contacted me within a few moments of my inquiry (in the evening, in fact!). These guys take their business very seriously. Between two of them, they were able to move a treadmill from my downstairs apartment to my new home very easily where it took a lot of work for the guys who helped me get to my previous residence. Communication was consistent via phone, email, and text, if you choose, and their price for their work cannot be beat. These guys cracked me up somehow within getting everything loaded, transported, and moved into my new place within a period of three hours. It was nice given the amount of stress I've been under being single and trying to get moved from city to city. I would say to have water bottles available for them so that they can stay hydrated while helping you out. I didn't think about it myself, rookie mistake, but for two guys to have put in the amount of work they did in a short period of time, I'm sure you'd understand why I felt like it was the least I could do. Thank you so much guys! My parents and I will spread the word.

I clarified w/owner Blake my move details verbally & text regarding time constraints. Tenants lease a dock from the City, it closes at 7PM. The moving truck must be out, then the freight elevators close at 10pm. Job was to start at 2:30PM. I reminded the guy who arrived first (Will) of the timeline. 2nd, one of the guys was 10-15 minutes late. But the charge clock was started at 2:30 anyway. They showed up with no dolly or tools. Luckily I had one. Then the late guy actually knew my neighbors & frequently stopped to call out "Jenna" the whole time. My brother & I had moved everything downstairs except two recliners & a shoe rack. We boxed everything up that we could, for easy packing of the truck as I'd recently been hospitalized & wearing a heart monitor on & my bro wanted to make it easy as he had a flight. Boy were we wrong. Took them 1+ hours for the boxes alone. 30ft max from house to curb! to load the boxes alone. They kept asking for more boxes, I asked them what else can you do. We were on a timeline. I asked Will if he told his partner about Being at the dock by 5pm. He said he no, I did, & confused he asked me if this was a load/unload. I went inside to call the owner. Blake asks me if the guys said they could stay. (So they thought the bad a 5 hour load job? How?) At 5:30p we left with 85% of my things. Gave them the address an instructions on how to get to the dock. I arrived at 6:05PM. They're lost, I give directions again. I start unloaded. 6:13p they pull up. I literally with my heart racing helped unload the truck even the fridge. Oh yeah and they broke and scratched up so much stuff as they were loading/unloading. We just now had to get the items off the truck before 7pm as the truck had to leave the city dock but there are cameras w/an officer so my items would be safe as they made the move inside. But here's the kicker. At 6:46pm, we have finished unloading the truck. Wait! You read that right! The same truck they "loaded" for almost 3 hours. It's 1BR apt worth if things, a fridge & two bikes. Anyway, I take them inside, show them the path & how to use the elevators to get moving upstairs. The guy tells me after the 5 hour mark the rate would be $37.50/hr due to the confusion or whatever. I gave them the fob and key to the empty apartment so they could work while I moved the truck. I left at 7:09pm. I got back, & yes the truck rental was far due to it being early in the month. I had to drive 40 min one way then get access when I got back, as I'd left my fob w/them. The movers didn't answer my calls (likely to lack of service down at the dock). I get down to the dock finally expecting to see some progress, all they'd done is move my things 50ft from the dock to the elevator door. Now outside of the cameras & police tower view. I asked them in awe why not upstairs. The guy replied "oh we wanted to get it all closer to the door so it's less walking". Now I'm pissed. It's 9:13pm. No way to get it all upstairs by 10pm. I called the owner again!! Asked why did he send me guys incapable of doing this job! He basically listened & offered to send me another crew the next day at a discounted price. I said how? As I'm paying NOW. He charged me the full hourly rate anyway as I stopped the clock! I was paying for nothing basically because I had help load/unload. Sick no less. Well from 2:45p to 9:19pm the second photo shows how I ended up with this company. The owner called back, said he'd thought about it & would get someone out the next afternoon for no charge! Duh! I already paid YOU. MY THINGS ARE OUTSIDE in a tunnel, unsecured! I said I'd have to sleep outdoors now b/c they moved it outside of security! I'm livid and just say ok. I called my brother who's made it home to Houston to start asking for help finding emergency movers while I load the elevators. I made two trips upstairs by myself before 10pm. SMH. The emergency movers showed up & since it was after midnight I ended up paying the same amount I had to the first company for TWO HOURS of work!!! Luckily I'd been making videos of the progress to build a time lapse of the move & captured their slowness. I can fully support this review with visuals!! DO NOT use them!! You're wasting your time & your money. I don't know anyone who wants to trash money!! The owner did text the next day, asked if I still needed them. I simply replied "nope". Worst experience moving ever. They weren't qualified nor prepared & the owner knew that! Because when he called me back to offer the "free" guys he said the guys he'd sent were hard workers but the other guys were his best & basically confirmed they needed supervision! Then why not send a supervisor????? We'd done all the work centralizing all the items for easy access!!! Please avoid them.

I purchased a Living Social coupon for $40.00 so that I could have one piece of heavy furniture in an antique store across the street from my home into my home. All in all, the entire trip, door-to-door, would have been about 1000 feet of travel for this team and would have taken about 20 minutes of their time. I live in the Milton, MA area which is located at the top if Route 95N and this business is located in Providence. It's not a far trip - in fact, it would be about the same mileage to go from Providence to Newport as it would be to go from Providence to where I'm located in Milton. However, before I purchased this voucher, I made sure to read ALL the fine print, all the legal, in order to guarantee that there was no time or mileage stipulations built in that would interfere with me buying this voucher. There were not, so I was pleased to purchase. When I called, I was greeted by a man on a cell phone that was a bit abrupt. I began to explain that I had purchased my voucher and that I wanted to schedule a time to have 2 movers (as stated on the voucher) come to move 1 piece of furniture. When I told him that I was located in Milton, he said that "Nope, I won't move anything there." When I asked why, he said that he wasn't coming to Boston to move furniture and when I explained that 1) I wasn't in Boston - I was at the top of 95N and 2) that when I had purchased the voucher, I did so very carefully so as to be sure that mileage wouldn't be an issue because Boston isn't far from Providence, he started to raise his voice. Without getting into the details, he started screaming that he was 'on a job and didn't have time to deal with this bullsh*t' (which is when I asked why he was answering phones if he wasn't prepared to take client calls) and he swore at me, on a few occasions. He was downright belligerent and rude and aggressive. When I reminded him that he already had my money and that services needed to be rendered, he told me that it was my problem and that I should take it up with Living Social. I said, "No, this is YOUR problem because you have my money and you need to render services. It's not MY fault that you didn't think through the terms/conditions that you wanted to uphold in your fine print. If leaving Providence was too far for you, then you should have noted how far away the services were valid for. Then, when it seemed he knew I had a point, he tried to tell me that there was a 2 hour minimum that I had to commit to, that I had paid $40.00 for the first hour, but that the second hour was going to cost me $98.00. Again, I said those terms were never mentioned in the voucher, the offer or the fine print/legal and at this point, I think he was just trying to make the trip to Milton worth his time by adding in some fake terms that didn't exist. At the end of the day, this was the rudest interaction I have ever had with a vendor that was trying to build a good name in the community and earn business. He swore at me. He yelled at me. He berated me. And then, tried to make it sound as though it was all my fault. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS unless you're okay with these types of interactions and happy to have your personal items managed by a bunch of people that can't even hold a civilized conversation (in my case with a client, whose money they already had.) A HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. BELOW IS THE LEGAL AND THE TERMS/CONDITIONS THAT WERE INCLUDED IN THE VOUCHER. NOWHERE DOES IT SAY THAT THERE IS A 2 HOUR TIME MINIMUM OR NOTE ANY MILEAGE CONSTRAINTS: Limit one per purchaser, additional as gifts * Limit one per household * Appointments are required and subject to availability * Merchant cancellation/re-scheduling policy of 72 hours applies; voucher subject to forfeiture * includes two movers and a truck * Entire value must be used in a single visit * Other conditions apply * PAID VALUE DOES NOT EXPIRE * PROMOTIONAL VALUE EXPIRES ON June 30, 2012
