I have eaten at many food courts and I think this place is going to need to find a way to decrease the time between ordering and serving if they want to survive in this format. My other observation is that it isn't immediately clear when you walk up where you order and where you pick up. There was a bit of confusion between myself and a couple other customers whose turn it was and where we ought to be standing. A couple of simple hanging signs could easily alleviate this and create a feeling of efficiency that will help this new location do well. Please give them a chance. You won't regret the meal.

At our wedding my husband and I offered our guests BBQ meatballs and a cheese and cracker buffet for appetizers. The meatballs were absolutely out of this world, and huge! I heard so many of our guests raving about them (myself included). For dinner we started with a salad, which was delicious and came with different salad dress choices. The entrees we chose were Italian herb chicken breast and Italian meat lasagna served with roasted redskin potatoes and glazed carrots. Everything was just to die for! The chicken was the best I've ever had, and I was elated to bring home the leftovers (of which there weren't many). Dan also set up multiple soda stations for us, which I was so grateful for because I was thirsty the entire night. I appreciated being able to get a drink whenever I wanted/needed to. Thank you so much!

We got the crab and lobster dip plus the duck liver mousse for appetizers. Both were bland and the flavor non-comprehensive. The dip had little flavor and the texture was weird and chewy, did not taste like the crab and lobster was cooked that day (from experience). The duck liver mousse was decent, but fell flat on a full flavor alone, it was kindly complemented with the pickled cucumber and carrots but overall it wasnt the most impressive. We had the lake trout and the hanger steak. The lake trout was gamey, oddly flavorless but also had a strong musky flavor, severely under seasoned during cooking. The spinach and embellishments saved the dish from being totally inedible. Presentation was sad and sloppy. The steak with tallow fries was a joke. The meat was chewy/tough, the sauce tasted like nothing, and the fries tasted like they came straight out of the freezer section of Walmart (freezer taste included). Wedges or fingerlings would have been a far better pairing in our opinion. Both of our plates were left barely half finished and it turned into a date of being food critics lol. A positive was they did make a decent old fashioned (was more of a double), and their French 75 was fabulous. Overall, it was a joke. We love interesting new places with unique menu options. We chose this place for that reason. Unfortunately we felt it was a case of "quantity over quality". These dishes had so much potential, but it was by far our worst food experience of our trip.

The corn tasted more like field corn than the sweet, flavorful corn I had come to expect. It also seemed like the ingredients and toppings were changed to cheaper ones, which really affected the overall taste. I don't mind paying more for quality, but this was not worth what I paid. I hope you will consider returning to the quality that made so many customers enjoy your roasted corn in the first place. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I cannot recommend it."

From the friendly, knowledgeable and professional service from our server Amber, to the greeting from the hostess, and to the attention from the manager. The cocktail list was outstanding, and included 2 delicious tequila drinks that I would love to replicate in my home bar. And it was a pleasure to see a wine list with plenty of Italian wines! The food was equally good. My prosciutto and burrata app was insanely good. Those capers added just the right amount of saltiness to the dish. My wife had the eggplant app which she said was delicious. The arugula on that app looked so fresh. My bolognese was delicious. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente. My wife had the sausage orecchiette which she loved. Desserts were great as well. All things considered, Heritage Social is a home run. I spent quite a few years in Northern New Jersey, the mecca of Italian restaurants. Heritage Social is the real deal. Now, if they could only add a grilled veal chop to the menu...

As for the breakfast (ALSO INCLUDED), it was amazing. Scott outdid himself with the quality of breakfast and service. I cannot recommend this place enough. We will be going back. T

The best. THE BEST!…read more Love Beechwood Manor! Stayed here a few weeks ago for my birthday weekend when I found a special online for 2 nights plus one one hour free in-room massage, gift certificate to a restaurant in downtown Saugatuck, and of course the two complimentary brekkies (being that it's a B&B, of course) for $388. Such a steal! The house itself is lovely. Built in the 1870s and renovated a bit but still keeping that Victorian charm. A comfy downstairs sitting area, and cozy dining room and another kitchenette area with a fridge (stocked with complimentary sodas and water), water pot for tea, hot chocolate, etc, and coffee. Oh yay! We stayed in Enid, the largest of the rooms. Very spacious with a sitting area of two chairs and a table, a couple of nightstands, a chest of drawers, a queen sized bed (very comfy and cozy), a fireplace, a small cable tv and dvd player, and cd/radio. It was actually really nice to unplug a bit so we didn't really watch any tv but it was there if you need it. Instead we mostly just lounged around listening to classical music on the radio and Prairie Home Companion. Fit the feel of the room nicely! The adjoining bathroom is a good size too with a lovely and deep clawfoot bathtub (that I definitely took a soak in. AHHH so nice!) and a separate shower. Complimentary bathrobes added to the cozy feeling and the windows had a lovely view for just perching and looking outside. Add that to the most amazing massage ever (seriously, one of the best I've ever had and I'm hard to please) and I walked out of there feeling completely rested and rejuvenated. The hosts/owners, Sal and Gregg are just lovely. Really friendly and chatty, I felt like an honored guest. And they are no slouches in the kitchen, either! Our breakfasts were DELICIOUS. The first day I had the eggs benedict (although the smell of the waffles sure were intoxicating!) and the next morning I had the sweet potato pancakes which I had to force myself to stop eating because they were so tasty but oh so filling! The grounds are lovely and I can't wait to come back in warmer weather for a sit on the porch looking at the trees and Kalamazoo river peaking through (while their super friendly kitty Oscar rubs against your ankles--but don't worry cat allergy folks, kitty does not come into the guest quarters. We only saw him chillin' outside). If you've never been to a B&B I highly recommend starting with Beechwood Manor. Although it's likely any others you visit may not live up!
