I was about to give a 5 star review, as my previous experiences have been very good. Today, all that changes. I was at machine N. I loaded my laundry, my detergent, my fabric softener. I started putting quarters into the slot. The $5.75 did not go down. I pressed the coin return button- no results. I knocked on the office door-no answer. I called. It rang and rang, so I left a message. Did they call back? Of course not. Would it kill them to to come out with a key to open the coin receceptacle? Evidently it would. Shame on you. read more

This laundry is a rip off!!! DO NOT USE THE MACHINE IF YOU HAVE TO USE HOT WATER!! They have NO HOT WATER!!! Also, they dryers, they tell you a certain amount of minutes for certain price then they give you less minutes for your money!!! That's stealing!! This owner is stealing from people and that's not right!! There is not even a way to contact him!!!! Good place to go to get your clothes clean. Affordable machines,most of them work. I believe that it is the nature of the beast. I had 3 weeks worth of dirty clothes and it took less than two hours to get it done. read more

The place is pretty clean but the tenant that works there on the day I went there and other previous days has an extremely bad attitude. She is completely disrespectful and uses a nasty tone with customers. She runs around yelling at everybody who doesn't wear a mask yet she doesn't wear a mask half the time. She definitely needs to be straightened out. This place is near Charleston Air Force Base which is the only reason I came here. I won't be going again and I'm going to encourage all my fellow airmen not to come here. read more

I have my own washer and dryer at home so I mainly go here to wash bulky items like blankets and carpets. It's about $3.25 for the medium washers. They got larger than average to extra large washing machines that does the job well. The washers and dryers accept $0.25 coins only. The fact that this is a 24 hour place is a huge bonus for someone like me who works shift work. They have machines in various sizes and more often than not they are staffed. However, the only issues I've ever had have been with other customers .. you know the ones. The ones that leave their clothes in the dryers or washers and give zero cares about anyone waiting. The ones who toss dryer sheets EVERYWHERE. Or a personal favorite, the ones who like to block the ramp so using a buggy to get your clothes in presents a challenge. There is free Wi-Fi, a plus. TV is always going and there too. I would suggest avoiding this place like the plague on Sunday nights, though - it'll be packed and stacked. read more

This is for the 7840 Dorchester location on the corner with percell street beside the family dollar.This is THE MOST WORST PLACE TO DO LAUNDRY! I went in to do my laundry and clean my dogs bedding. The property owner who was wearing board shorts and a button up shirt like was twenty something was nothing but RUDE! He was clearly a much older man who tried to send his manager over who was equally RUDE. He told me my bedding stunk too bad to wash ...... But wait isn't that what a laundry mat is for? To clean dirty clothes and linen? I tried to no avail to explain to both of them if you add hot water and bleach and laundry detergent then smell in the washer won't be a problem. He tried to tell me that no one would wash their clothing in the same machine even after using bleach and hot water. To top it off he waited and watched me walk to and from the change machine and load up my money into the machines before telling me I couldn't wash and finish taking care of my clothes. So, I had to take my drenching wet clothes across town to another laundry mat. When, I told them I'd never return again they informed me good because I'd be trespassed and all I was trying to do was my laundry which they didn't mind excepting my money into their machines. When, I told both the owner and manager that I was going to leave a bad review his response was good and I'll find it and refute it. I mean is this how you treat someone who's never been in your establishment before? Are those the things you say to a customer spending money in your establishment? It's a laundry mat made fore cleaning dirty soiled stinky clothing. Dirty linens don't come in smelling like roses. I'll never go back there and would never recommend this over priced place. The laundry mat beside food lion is much more affordable with way bigger dryers and minus the rude attitude from the owners. Horrible place. read more

My family and I were here on vacation and needed a place to wash our clothes. Blue Star was clean, polite. The owner was helpful when our washer didn't want to cooperate and he got the washer to work immediately. I was pleasantly and happily surprised. I have not had to use a laundromat often until recently and I really had no clue where I should go. I picked Blue Star laundry because they had free wifi, so my 5 year old was able to entertain himself on his kindle! The staff was friendly and helpful, lots of washer sizes, coin machine, atm, snack and game machines! The person behind the counter was able to break the $20 I had which is also a plus! The only thing that could make it better is if they had more wall outlets and more seats, or you could at least move the seats they do have. You can't because they are bolted to the floor. Pretty decent laundry mat. I went there to wash a sleeping bag and three blankets. Used the largest machine ($5.75), they have five different size frontloaders, 30 in all. Very busy the day i went, a holiday. Had to wait about 15 min for my machine. Relatively clean and modern. Two sizes of dryers, 25 cents for 5(large) or 7 min(small). All and all, satisfied. read more
