Smiling Rivers Laundromat - Cleanliness and well kept - Laundromat Near Me - North Charleston, South Carolina

Cleanest laundromat I've ever seen. Lots of machines with various sizes. Definitely on the more expensive side, but totally worth it since I didn't have to wait for a machine and could put all my laundry in one machine because it was so big! It also has fast WiFi. Regular cleaning has been done due to Covid, as well. read more

Used to love coming here late night until i experienced horrible customer service... I've never in my life been kicked out of a place, because i don't cause trouble.. but the fat employee with the glasses was pushing the big floor cleaning machine while people were in the middle of doing their laundry and i didn't move because i was in the middle of loading the machine, when he just gets closer and i then move and say "you can say excuse me" and he replies with, "No i don't you see me coming you need to move out the way" his attitude was ridiculous and uncalled for.. we went back and forth with our words and he then kicked me out.. other people in the laundromat were complaining about the same exact thing.. a woman recorded the entire thing and came outside after me to let me know.. he needs to be fired immediately!! And i won't stop leaving a bad review until he's gone.. read more

Really like it alot the people there are so nice and it's so clean there compared to most of them

Fist time in years that I've needed a laundromat but the boat cover needed a good clean. Exceptionally clean building fully stocked with supplies. Could use some more comfortable seating. Plenty of metal stools available. The largest wash machines are $10.50 per cycle and detergent is $8.50 so bring your own. read more

Smiling Rivers Laundromat - Large wash machines - Laundromat Near Me - North Charleston, South Carolina

Everything works great and the place is very clean. Washer and dryer's are extremely efficient and the time spent in is pretty fast. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that needs to get laundry done. read more

I'm new to the area. Drove by parking lot full. Came back at 2am walked in started loading washer $3.50 for a small machine. Noticed a credit card machine on washer. THEY ONLY TAKE PLASTIC no coins?! Unloaded my clothes and left. Even though it's 24/7 I'll wait for the nice lady down the road who sells cookies for 50cents, it's only $3 and it's also clean. Not coming back to Smiling Rivers read more

My washing machine at home isn't large enough to clean quilts and large blankets. I brought in my dirty quilts here and even came prepared with $20 in quarters. However, I ended up not needing the quarters. They have cards for the machines, so fancy. All the machines seemed to be in working order, the place was clean, and in most importantly in my situation, they have free Wi-Fi. I was able to do some school work while I waited for my blankets to wash and dry. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a laundromat in North Charleston. read more

This place is always clean. And they are open 24/7. maintenance is very kind. if a machine is not working there is never a issue of being refunded. read more

Do you find doing laundry relaxing? Me either, except when I do it at Smiling Rivers! Due to some construction at our home we were without a washer/dryer for about a month. I was looking for a laundromat where I didn't need quarters- this is what brought me to Smiling Rivers. They have an easy to use card system. They have a TON of equipment on site. Huge rolling garment baskets, giant stainless steel tables for folding, benches and chairs for sitting. They have various sizes of machines which cost accordingly. We normally just went with the giant machine which was costly but then everything was done. They have vending machines with food, a bathroom, and wi-fi. The parking lot is large and I never had trouble finding a spot! I'd try to come during "off hours" like during the work day and avoiding the weekend if possible because it can get crowded! Even though our own personal washer and dryer are working again I still take my large blankets and washable rugs there because the units are easier for oversized items. read more

Read past reviews and the people that complain must live pretty sad lives. One has the gall to complain about not being open after a hurricane, came all the way from Florida. Don't even stop to think that they evacuated Florida cus of a hurricane and they weren't at work after a hurricane and the owner may have traveled to Florida to get away...sorry self centered people. And if you come here during rush hour, yes you have to wait your turn. But come before 8am and guess what, now crowd and save money. We've been coming here for years and the place is as clean as when it opened, free WiFi and tv too...so don't believe the complaints, this is a clean and safe place to wash your clothes, at le read more

I love this laundromat for several reasons. When traveling I hate using the laundromat on the facility because I don't feel that they pay enough attention to the going ons with it. I love that it's open 24 hours and there is always someone there cleaning and attending to the facility. I love the fact that it's not a coin laundromat, you can use your debit or credit card to receive a wash card, like in college, and use it till the money has ran out and you have to refill it again. You also receive a $1 discount on all machines after a certain in the morning. The facility is always sparkling clean and keeps everything in working order. You can purchase snacks and washing supplies from the vending machines. There are many TVs around the place and there is free WiFi as well. These things draw me to this place all the time!!! read more

There were always machines open, LARGE machines even, and seemed reliable and clean. You frequently saw people cleaning. The is good a/c, lots of places to sit, vending machines, reasonable parking. They make you use the card system, which is annoying, but then you know all the machines will take your type of funds. All in all a trusty, clean, quick place to do your laundry. read more

This place is immaculate! I'll do my laundry here anytime. Note that you must get or have Laundry Card. They have card vending machines on site and you can load the card with cash or credit/debit card read more

I will admit, this place is pricey! However, if you don't need several loads of laundry done, it is worth it. I came here to wash and dry a king-sized, weighted blanket that my personal washing machine cannot handle. The washing machines at this establishment are large capacity, with options of smaller capacity as well. The wash & dry cycles are both fast and efficient, spent all of maybe an hour there. There is a vending machine for snacks and drinks and a laundry card station where you can load money for laundry services. There are restrooms, however they are a bit smelly. Overall, nicest laundromat I've ever been to. read more

I was in town for my son's baseball tournament and needed a place to wash his uniforms. Smiling Rivers was very clean with lots of open washers and dryers on a Sat morning. The laundry card touchscreen was a little difficult but not enough to change my rating. So glad that I found this place! read more

Be sure to come on a night most people are busy because this place often plays like it's the only laundromat in the area. And the players are willing to throw an elbow or gouge an eye to win their spots. Aggressive is a kind way to label how customers stake out machines--if you're not keen, if you're not heroically diligent, someone will steal the machine you need right out from under you. Don't get me wrong, it's a great laundromat. It's clean and the staff is friendly. It's a tad overpriced, but that's really the only criticism. Just remember to bring your A-game during prime time play. read more

Smiling Rivers is squeeky clean and I was able to do all my laundry for five bux. They have different sized machines for every need and their prices seem very reasonable to me. read more

Yeah right. Almost 10 am, drove all the way over here before driving back to Florida and not open. I realize there was a big storm from Irma yesterday but everything else is open and back to normal! I don't have time for this! 2 more people have shown up since I got here. read more

A bit crowded, but plenty of machines. XL machines for that one load, one dryer trips. Haha. Overall good experience!

Large, bright, safe and busy. On a Saturday night, there were quite a few people there. I love the fact that you purchase a "wash card" and load your money on it. Much easier than coins or hoping the machine you picked has a working credit card reader like other places. Plenty of size options and lots of fast new dryers. read more

This is THE BEST laundromat I've ever visited! Everything was exceptionally clean, vending machine was well stocked with items to use to wash and snacks and drinks someone would actually like to purchase. The gentleman that was working there was so pleasant, friendly and helpful, and was doing an amazing job keeping the laundromat clean. This place is spacious, with ample parking, enough carts to move laundry around as needed and enough machines that work amazingly with having to wait for someone to finish. I'm happy I Yelped and found this laundromat because I had tons to wash after moving here and I'm beyond impressed with Smiling Waters!!! This will be my go to for doing laundry!! Thanks!! read more

Great laundromat! Stuck my head in the washers to make sure they didn't smell like mildew. They were fresh and clean. Prices were very reasonable! Nice staff on duty! Loved the money card routine....way better than having left over quarters to weight down my purse. Clean new looking restrooms were an unexpected bonus I would definitely use this laundromat again, if I wasn't just passing through. read more
