I'm staying in a hotel in the area without a laundry room so I was on the hunt for somewhere to wash my clothes. This place is close to the base and the mall area. It's very well lit and a lot of the machines are brand new. I met the new owner, Mark, who is very friendly and welcoming. The place is still under renovation so there are a few spots that need paint, a few machines out of order, etc. But, it was perfect for what I needed and I'd definitely use this place again. read more

When I came down to Charleston for business I was recommended to go to Beverly's to get my laundry done. It was close to work (the airport), cheap, and they did good work. The person was right. They charge $0.85 a pound for full service laundry. You have your choice of detergent and fabric softener. They'll prepare your laundry however you like. For example, I always ask for my collared shirts and pants hung up and my work out/synthetic clothes air dried. The whole staff is very friendly too. Two things of note: - They only take cash. - They don't do dry cleaning. read more

I had a great experience at Beverly's. I was greeted with a friendly smile and offered a laundry drop-off. That was sweet.

I started going to this laundromat when my dryer kicked the bucket. The interior definitely leaves something to be desired. It's pretty rough, but what this place lacks in aesthetics it more than makes up for with price and service. Beverly is very nice and makes a point to talk to everyone who walks in. The prices are low. Lower than a lot of the other laundromats in the area. Speaking of others in the area. I've been to a few. The atmosphere in them is enough to make me never return. My experiences at other laundromats have made me thankful for Beverly's Laundromat. read more

Nice,clean,friendly and very helpful. Nice area for kids to play, watch t v. Ms. Beverly takes pride in her shop. It always smells fresh, because machines are cleaned and disinfected daily. Whether your doing your own laundry or dropping it off someone is always there to lend a helping hand. Highly recommended! read more

Mark, the new owner, is AMAZING! There's brand new washers and dryers, which are soooo much bigger than before! I was out in less than an hour with my huge load of bedding and clothes. Definitely coming back with my laundry! read more

Needs a deep clean, holes in walls, missing tiles. Machines worked however there were 5 dryers out of order and only 14 standard.

Family of 6 traveling from out of state and tons of laundry needed cleaning before heading home. I had limited time to get it done while also entertaining my children and Beverly was so calming, refreshing and helpful. Has a very cool area set up for children to play and watch TV. It is apparent that her customers are like family, as felt very welcomed with the friendly locals who we were able to chat with there. It turned into a rather fun few hours at a laundry mat. Beverly is a wonderful person and her business reflects her strong Christian faith and Southern values. She was tremendously helpful and kind to me and out of owner. She helped me with the machines and we conversed the entire time my clothes were washed and dried. Her machines worked well. Worn down. Machines are ancient. Needs to be updated inside. Although the exterior looks like it has had an update be aware the inside didn't. The lady that works here is nice. I just wish they had bigger machines so I didn't have to spend so much time here. Prices are much higher than San Antonio. I ended up spending $56 to do all my laundry myself. We are from out of state and are here for a baseball tournament. I visited Beverly's laundromat this morning to wash baseball uniforms and our other clothes. The facility is nice and Beverly is amazing. So helpful and friendly. I know before we leave I will be visiting again and I highly recommend this facility to anyone. read more

I would point out that Bev's does now accept credit card payments though she will pass along the service fees she is charged by such transactions. All in all, it's a fine business. read more

I found beverly's when i moved to the area. Beverly is always friendly and helpful. I have brought my children with me at times. There is television, books and toys to keep them occupied. Cant find a better place to do laundry. read more

I echo the other comments about Beverly's. It's not especially large, but I had no problem getting two washers on a busy Sunday afternoon. Several dryers were marked out of order. But the very friendly attendant Missy informed me that they were replacing them. She let me use one reserved for her. (She said some of them work sometimes.) She pointed out the new ones (which did dry my second load within 40 minutes on low heat) and said more would be there soon. Missy was super nice and helpful. They have couches and a TV. Burger King next door if you're hungry. :-) read more
