If I could select zero stars I absolutely would have. This dealer has zero consideration for your time and uses tactics to make you wait longer and longer when things are not close to the terms you want. I applied for a job, accepted an interview, showed up, and no manager was there to deal with me even though I waited for 15 minutes after my interview was suppose to start. Your reviews are horrible and your absolute lack of care to show the same respect anyone shows are only going to make your business hard to run. Cscheduked an diagnosis about a week before an appointment I had scheduled for 8:15 am. Got there after taking off work and driving 40 minutes to them, just for them to say I have to leave my vehicle there for 2-3 days for a simple diagnosis. An absolute joke. I recently bought a 2023 F150 Platinum from Laura on the used vehicle side and I am not happy with the customer service I have received during this transaction. I have bought multiple vehicles in the past at other dealerships and have not run into any issues like I have during this purchase. My concerns are:  1. Lemon law buyback title - I am still waiting to hear back on this!  When I picked up my title this past Tuesday evening it states my new truck is a lemon law buyback. I was NOT aware of this until receiving the title. The only issue I was told about this truck when I looked at it was that it was a ford auction truck that had 1 issue with the AC compressor and it was replaced. I tried to contact Laura about the title to get more information and have yet to hear back from her after reaching out twice already. So I am still unsure if the lemon law buyback is due to the AC issue I was informed of or another issue. I was shocked I was not told more about this before buying the vehicle and feel deceived.  2. Financing issue  I came in and looked at multiple trucks originally. When I finally picked this truck I had my credit checked, signed paperwork, and drove away with the vehicle thinking I was done with my purchase since I had even signed paperwork with the finance manager. I then got a call from Laura saying the loan company would need proof of more income and my wife had to sign with me. My wife signing with me is not an issue, however, I have never had to sign paperwork only to get a call that I have to basically sign all of the paperwork all over again and take another credit hit. If I did not have a spouse to sign with me I am not sure I would have even been able to go through with the purchase of this truck - what would have happened in this scenario?  3. Signing paperwork  I told Laura I would be in with my wife to sign paperwork for the loan company on a Thursday when my wife was available. We went over paperwork with Laura as well as financial paperwork AGAIN. The following day Laura called me because they had forgotten to have my wife and I sign some paperwork. Laura was accommodating and brought paperwork to our house to sign however this was still a big inconvenience for the both of us and the second time I was contacted that the paperwork was not completed like it should have been.  This entire process has been very frustrating to say the least. I am still waiting to hear about the lemon law buyback title before I proceed with titling and registering my truck. I may not have bought this truck knowing it was a lemon and feel very misled. Especially after having to fill out paperwork multiple times too. read more

Everything! Terrible customer service from upper management to customer service technicians

So, on Saturday 9/13 my husband and I go to Blue Springs Ford because they have a Maverick Truck. We walk in and speak to a Sales Rep David. he leads us to his office and we are talking to him about trading in my Mini Cooper with a down payment for the Truck. He says " alot of people come here, when everyone else says no, we say yes" - liar. David steps out and gets the keys to the truck and says lets take it for a drive, ok.I look around his office and see that he received 3 awards for Best Salesman and for Best Performance ( or something to that sort).. I'm game.. I drive it.. awesome little truck. We get back from test drive. Hand him the keys to my little hot rod Copper. Left in his office as he goes on said drive. No problems with my Cooper, no accidents, not broken glass, great condition. We had before arrival filled out application online. He asks my husband for paystubs, no worries. About 20 minutes later ( of course while David sits up with whom I am assuming is the finance guy, and eats 2 donuts - which you can clearly see by the way) comes back in and says " we can do this for $5,000 down and stay within the car payment that we needed" We stated that we don't have $5,000 to put down. He goes back with a counter offer and this time David is gone for a little more then a half hour. He has papers in his hand and says, "look all the banks are closed- why dont you take the truck home and we will call you on Monday?" I looked at my husband and stated that with our work hours it will not permit me to return truck on Monday. I dont get off work until 6pm and drive all the way from Overland Park to Blue Springs before you close. He said no worries, we will call you on Monday. We are on Wednesday and we still have not received a call David -as he promised. I guess i was expecting that when someone says they are going to do something they do it. If you are looking for a Ford, i highly recommend not going here. as they cannot keep up with their own promises. Even if it was a call to say sorry we cannot do it...SOMETHING would have been nice. Just curious though... does that $5000 include your commission? Cause you are not Straight forward, you must think that everyone has $5000 just hanging around, when we are real people who have worked their whole life and have never been late on ANY bills. NONE.. and you didn't even have the bolas to call and say something... 2nd Question I have for you, the offer that you gave to us, would that be an offer that you would give your brother or sister? UPDATE: 9/17 After posting this review, my husband received a phone call stating that they are still working on our application. But, I'm gonna tell you a secret.. We froze our credit reports on Sunday. Blue Springs Ford NEVER asked for us to unfreeze our reports, they NEVER asked for my pay stubs. They just said " we are still working on it". But then sometime last night ( and i mean around 6-8pm) my husband receives a text message.... A TEXT MESSAGE YOU GUYS....A TEXT....stating that they cannot help us... darn i wonder why?... you were not working on helping us... you got a bad review and your just covering your a$$. Is this how they do business? I wonder, If we did take home the truck on Saturday - do you think we would have heard something before last night that they couldn't help us? darn scooping we would have. They want you to take the vehicle home for the weekend, get used to it, fall in love and be a sucker for whatever they decide is a budget for you. Not the other way around. They could careless that some people live on a budget. That they don't have $5000 just setting in their bank accounts, or on their credit cards. We work HARD for everything we have!! Did we go in this thinking they were going to bow down to us and our needs. NO. Did we think that they were probably going to say no, YES. Its they way they did it. This review is for the service department, and specifically for the employees that recently "took care" of me. I had my truck in a few months ago for some problems, and wound up needing several things fixed. They had my truck for almost a month (yes, just a couple days shy of it) before it was done. Most of that time was spent playing phone tag with the representative, who was mostly neglectful. It was hard to even get ahold of him most of the time. The main issue I took my truck in for was NOT repaired correctly, and it was apparent very soon after picking my truck up from them. So, I texted the representative and told him so. He responded back (surprisingly) and asked when I could bring it in. I told him "tomorrow morning", and he never responded. Later on, after putting up with this issue for a while, I scheduled my truck to go in again. I pulled into the service bay, and he was right next to me, on the phone, but not talking to anyone. I stood there, right by him, for several minutes without him even acknowledging my presence. Someone else came over to help me, and I explained the situation. However, I don't think they actually paid much attention to what I said, as the problems were not addressed at all in the way they should've been. One thing I asked to be looked at was supposed to have been fixed the first time around. The representative from that first visit (the same one who blatantly ignored me standing there) told me that they would take care of it back then, but they didn't do it. So, I pointed that out to the other representative. I told him exactly what was wrong. But it didn't matter. They "checked" exactly what I told them to fix, and then charged me the $150 diagnostic fee anyway, even though I TOLD THEM WHAT IT WAS. So, the initial representative I dealt with eventually called me, after having my truck overnight. He said the price of the repair (which of course he said would be done months prior to this) would be a certain amount, PLUS the diagnostic fee (which they USED TO bundle into the total cost if you had them do the work). I asked if they had looked into the previous issue, and if they could figure it out, and he dismissed my concern like I was an idiot. He tried to get me to pay for a bunch of other outrageously overpriced BS, and I declined. They completed the previously neglected work, charged me way too much for it, and I picked my truck up. Then, a bit more specifically, I took my truck home, and decided to check things out. I know my truck's wheels, and I know for an absolute fact that the technician did NOT rotate the passenger side tires like he was supposed to. Hey, mistakes happen, I can overlook it. But then, I decided to change my brakes and see if I could solve this issue myself. Upon examining the brake pads, I immediately saw a serious problem. Something even an amateur mechanic would notice. The pads were worn at an extreme angle on the inner side of the rotor, and that side was worn down to almost nothing, while the other side was basically untouched--obvious caliper malfunctioning. I changed calipers out across the front, and installed new pads myself, cleaned and lubricated everything properly, and PRESTO. The initial problem completely solved, for a tiny fraction of the cost they charged me to improperly diagnose and "fix" it in the first place. To summarize... my service representative should be working at McDonald's screwing up peoples' cheeseburgers, while the technician(s) that worked on my truck probably needs to have their eyesight examined. I have given this dealership a LOT of business over the years. Myself, and a couple members of my family, and a friend as well. Never, EVER again. The service department is an absolute joke. If I could give this dealer negative stars, I would. This review is dtd May 9, 2025. On this day, the Service Department at Blue Springs Ford refused to honor the warranty we bought from Ford and left my wife and our handicapped daughter in our car with the transmission going out. They further lied about me and refused to return my calls. Their actions are vicious, cowardly, immoral, cruel and cowardly in the extreme. As a 100 percent disabled veteran, I call on all my fellow Marines...all my fellow veterans...to boycott Blue Springs Ford. As a Ford owner for some forty years...I have NEVER been treated like this by anyone at Ford and I call on EVERYONE to boycott Blue Springs Ford. Our 2019 Ford Explorer is starting to have transmission issues, so we brought it in for service. We paid cash for this car when we bought it new and I paid an additional $2,500 for the Platinum Warranty because our daughter was born with the most severe form of Spina Bifida...a fully exposed spinal cord...so we need a reliable vehicle big enough for her wheelchair with a good warranty for frequent emergency trips to the hospital. The warranty was set to expire in July, 2025, so we brought it in to check out the transmission and go over the whole car before the warranty expired. We spoke with "Will" who said he didn't have any rental cars available for us. I told him we would need to reschedule then because we have a handicapped child and really cannot be without a car because we make frequent emergency trips to the hospital. He agreed and rescheduled us for today, May 9th, 2025. My wife showed up with the car and someone named "Jonah" called me and angrily told me that they charged $200 per hour for warranty work and that if the warranty didn't cover their full hourly rate, that I would be responsible for the difference. I asked him, "Well, have you contacted the warranty folks and asked them how much they will cover?" He kept yelling at me that if the warranty didn't cover their full hourly rate, that I would be responsible for the difference. I kept responding that I had no idea what it would cost. I am not a service writer, or a service manager so how would I know how much it's going to cost? And how would I know how much the warranty is going to cover? Eventually, he just hung up on me. I tried calling back and no one would answer. In the meantime, back at the dealership, the Service Manager "Sam Bell" walked out and told my wife that they didn't want our business. My wife asked him why and he lied to her by saying that I had been argumentative with Jonah and that if we weren't going to pay the $200 per hour rate up front for the work, then they weren't interested in our business. My wife informed him that no one from Ford had informed us that we would have to pay $200 per hour up front for warranty work when we bought the warranty. That defeats the whole purpose of spending $2,500 on a platinum warranty. These people should all be fired. What they did to us was criminal. I recommend everyone read this review (and the many others like it) and take your business elsewhere. I had a 10am appointment on Monday 9/9/2024 for "The Works" oil change on my car. When I checked in, the young man told me it would be about an hour and a half. Two hours in, I asked for an update and was told "the technician is working on it". There was no loaner offered. No apology. No updated time frame on when I could expect my car back. Nothing. My car was eventually returned to me after a payment of $95.94 and a THREE HOUR AND FIFTEEN MINUTE wait. The Cashier was nice though. read more

Train wreck! On Thursday I scheduled an appointment for after work on the following Monday at 3pm and when I arrived early at 2, I was told they wouldn't be able to look at it just then because it was too late in the day; even though they were open 4 more hours. Why take an appointment at that time then? I called the next day (Tuesday) only to be told they didn't get to it but there was no reason they shouldn't get to it the next day. I called the next day (Wednesday) and was told, we didn't get to it but there is no reason we shouldn't get to it tomorrow. I informed the man that they told me that almost verbatim the day before and he said that diagnostics can take a day or two. So I pointed out it had already been three days. I called on the fourth day (Thursday) and can you guess what I was told? "We didn't get to it today but there is no reason we shouldn't be able to get to it tomorrow." They must have a script to read like a soulless call center. After four days, all they could muster up is we didn't get to it. I had to call daily since I wasn't given any updates and of course no work was being done. I called Bob Sight Ford in Lees Summit and they had a Friday morning appointment available and after I explained the frustratingly unnecessary situation at Blue Springs Ford, he said that they actually have a tech available at the time of appointment; because that's how appointments work. Go literally anywhere else. Don't even send an enemy to Blue Springs Ford. Also when I went to pick up my vehicle and take it to a place that is competent and understands customer service, suddenly Blue Springs Ford was almost ready to start looking at my car, and I was asked if I was sure I didn't want to just wait a little longer. read more

On 2/14/24 took my wife's SUV in for an oil change. Big mistake. They said the rear brake pads needed replacing. Fixed. But a week later, the squeaking began from the right rear. It continued. Took it into Dave's just down the street. They said the anti rattle clip was missing from the right rear brake,causing the squeak. Will be calling the service manager on Monday. Daves also found the drive train belt was worn and needed replaced as well as the battery and transmission fluid flush. None of this was discovered by ford. Choose wisely and be careful if you choose to take your car into this place. I will not be taking my cars into this place ever again. read more

Went with my cousin to look for trucks on July 8th and 9th. We arrived at Blue Springs Ford and there was a Toyota Tundra that drew him in! We sat down in the truck and out came the Sales mans! This was my cousins first purchase at a dealership, because he doesn't care for the run around and fast talk that sales reps. give. Jay Cortez was the sale rep. that took care of him during this transaction! Jay, gave straight talk through the whole process. Jay made sure that all the questions were answered and all the concerns were lifted before the truck was drove out the car lot for the final time. Jay was an excellent sales rep. He was very open and honest with information concerning the truck and made sure that my cousin was satisfied before signing the papers and driving away! This experience was one of the better ones that I have witnessed when dealing with dealerships/sales reps! If more dealerships had sales reps. like Jay people wouldn't fear going to dealerships! I bought a used Ford Bronco but the rear wiper blade was very bad...should have been found during inspection by the dealer. I thought it had no warrenty but I asked them about it. I've never had this bad of an experience with a dealership before. I bought a used 2013 Ford Focus from this dealership at the end of last year. I noticed during the test drive that it kicked a small bit when I accelerated from stop. No one in the car pointed it out, and I naively believed Ford wouldn't have a faulty vehicle to sell on the lot. Within a week of purchase I started to get questionable about the kick/shudder it would make. I messaged the salesman, and he promptly told me that the Ford Focus does that, and that it's common for the vehicle because of the unique transmission it has. I'm a full-time student with two jobs, I have very little free time to get it looked at, and I just took his word for it. Recently I had it looked at, and was given an estimate of TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS for repairs. I bought it in this condition from this dealership. Why was it on the lot if it needed this amount of extensive repair? I had reached out shortly after purchase and they told me it was fine. Had the salesman said to "bring it in, that's not normal", I'm sure they would have done something for me. I've barely put 4,000 miles on it. They offered to discount my $2,000 fix to $1,700, but I have lost any amount of trust in this dealership when they sold me a damaged vehicle. Purchased a used SUV back on 08/24/2023 with an extended warranty/service contract for an additional 2884.00. First major breakdown occurred on 02/18/2024 and the warranty is not willing to pay for the covered parts based on the current NADA value of the vehicle which the dealer did not disclose to me nor provide me a complete copy of the service contract, was told it was just like a factory warranty except they don't cover wear parts brake pads and such which I knew from previous experiences. Now Im faced with over 4600.00 out of pocket for parts that would normally be covered. Be very aware of this dealer and read other reviews to see how customers are treated. read more

If I could give this review a no star I would have. Myself and my daughter took our cars into Blue Springs ford service dept. At 7am We were able to drive right into the bays. Thinking great first in line won't have to wait too long. We were both having oil change and tire rotation. We dropped the cars off and at 11 called up there and said they just started on my car. My daughter had a different service advisor so she called and he said her car wouldn't be done till 3. What 8 hours later??? So We drove up there and was refered to Sam Bell We were told he was the service manager. (We found out later we were lied too, he is a service advisor)We were so rudely talked to he said they take care of people that stay and wait are taken care of first. Even though a truck that was dropped off same time was finished and waiting for customer to pick up. He said it's the luck of the draw. So if you do use blue springs ford service and drop off, don't expect your vehicle till the end of day. The hard thing to swallow is this Sam Bell was the rudest individual I've delt with. My daughter asked for her car. They brought it right up. She will be taking it elsewhere to get her service done.Mine they had just started on it so I waited. After 5 1/2 hours later I drove it home. I was driving and my check engine light came on. I pulled off the highway and stopped to have the car checked. It was ridiculous how rudely I was treated! I pulled straight into the quick service lane and watched while everyone ignored the fact that I was there. Finally, someone walked over and said in a very agitated tone and said , "I can check your car but you're going to have to bring it back if you want anything fixed! " It was 8:45 am and there were no other cars in sight! I just explained what I had experienced driving and just wanted him to plug the car in to be diagnosed. If this is how they treat customers I am surprised they are in business! I would never go back based on the rude and condescending behavior and comments made . BTW...this is my first YELP review! Their service writers will flat out lie to you while other service writers stand and watch him lie without doing anything about it. I even gave the service advisor a chance to start over while still on the service floor and he refused. I asked for service manager then. When service manager asked me if I still wanted to have them look at my vehicle, I said have said service advisor apologize and admit to me he lied to me and I would let them work on the vehicle he refused to do so. I have bought two used vehicles and one brand new 2020 from Blue Springs Ford. The service department is awful. This is the third time I have called on the newer car I am still making payments on and set an appointment for service and they don't write it down so when I get there to drop off they say your not on the list. I called and set the appointment on 7/1/24 and dropped it off 7/11/24. My car has been there for 3 business days now and had NOT even been seen till I called again. WHY MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. I told them 6-8 months ago my brakes were grinding really bad and they said it was nothing, now they say I need all 4 rotors replaced. My work mechanic said if they would have fixed them the first time it would have only been one set. I am female and they act like I am stupid when I tell them what codes my mechanics at work pulled, or when I tell them of the noise the brakes are making. I am tired of being brushed off and talked down to. I will be taking my car to a different Ford service center if I ever get it back after this. I will not even let them do an oil change again. You have lost my business for good after this. I will have another mechanic replace the rotors if they are actually needed and save myself some money. read more

Informed her I would be there at 6:15 PM as I was driving from North of the River (40 minutes away). I arrived at my scheduled time only to be told that the General Sales Manager had driven the truck home but I was welcome to come back tomorrow morning. No apologies were given. I bought my car less than two months ago at Blue Springs Ford. Immediately the brakes started squeaking. I'm a busy person so I didn't get up there right away to have them looked at since I live in a different city. I thought that I would be taken care of because I purchased a warranty that supposedly cover 95% of the car except for anything computerized. Took the car to there service department and was told that the brake pads are all good the front rotors are not good they need to fixed for almost $600. The Warrenty won't cover it because they are "wearable" parts. So tell me how I've had the car less than two months And when I came to get my "free" Oil change was told the brake pads are good but the rotors are bad. If you ask me somebody slapped some good brake pads on some bad rotors and this dealership sold me the car which did not even have window washing fluid in it. So they left a bad taste in my mouth from the jump. However, I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Not after this. They lost all of my business and any good recommendations. They found a way for me to pay for my first free oil change by charging me $50 to tell me that the front rotors are bad. I have nothing good to say about this place as they didn't even try to make anything right. Disappointed! read more

This review is specific to the service department. We took our 2018 F 150 in for service in June 2021 for an issue with the GPS/Sync functionality. After having the truck for a couple of days the technician decided to order and replace a splitter cable which did not fix the problem. They called and said our truck could be picked up. We were required to pay $494.16 to collect our truck unfixed. We took the truck to another dealer who ran a diagnostic check which determined the exact issue and the truck was repaired under warranty free of charge. I disputed that original charge, was told it would not be contested, then found out the merchant reinstated the charge of $494.16. What a poor excuse for a service department at Blue Springs Ford. read more

Worst attempt at bait and switch ever ! Dealer confirmed the exact vehicle I wanted was in inventory , asked if I wanted to make an appointment to test drive . I confirmed appointment and when I took off work to drive to the dealer , I was informed that the vehicle was sold the day BEFORE I made the appointment , but they had other options.... no thanks , I had the exact truck in mind , not a substitution! Ended up taking my cash to another dealer who had the exact truck I wanted in stock without the games . I will never be able to recommend any dealer who plays the typical dealer runaround with me , wasting my morning when I could have been at work . All in all , what was supposed to be a simple transaction turned into a headache . I waited for over 2 hours for an oil change and a tire repair, only to be told they can't repair the tire and that I would have to wait for a new tire to be delivered later that day, thus making me wait another 3 hours. Once it was all done and I got back to my car, I found that the servicemen left their trash in my car and didn't put anything back as they found it. I have purchased 3 cars from Blue Springs Ford. The first 2 were awesome this last one not so much. During the financing approval things got mixed up and I felt I didn't get the warranty I wanted. I wanted the protected coat and tint and maintenance. After I got home I was charged 1,765.00 for a Extended Warranty that I do not remember even discussing. As I mentioned to the man I needed a low payment as possible. I called to cancel and was offered a free Protective coat that they would eat the cost. I wanted the window tint as well and they stated that was not in the deal. Fine by me. Now, I could of went ahead and took there offer, but I canceled. I then canceled the one I did not want. Wrong thing to do! I had my windshield broke by a Lawn company weed eating. $650.00 to replace I had to pay cause according to them it was not in my original bumper to bumper 12,000. I beg to differ and called the Ford Customer Service to which they told me the dealership is not at liberty to decide that and they were suppose to take pictures and send to Ford. When I called back Blue Springs said "Well by chance do you have an Extended Warranty?" What a coincidence, huh! So I paid the money to fix and called to have them reset some sensors only to be told I didn't go thru warranty so I have to pay for the reset. The Warranty they told me didn't apply. read more

They advertised a 2015 Chevy Cruze with 21,000 miles online for $13,500. I spoke with the sales man (Ziggy) about it and was ready to come and buy it. As I was headed out the door he calls to say they sold it but they have a similar one with 4,000 MORE miles for $15,200. I told him I wanted the price I originally saw that they sold the other for. He told me there was no way he could make that happen. I called the manager to give him the opportunity to make it right and received no call back. I feel that I was lied to and the other car was probably falsely advertised. I will be buying elsewhere. read more
