I did my original bridal alternations at a different place (the place I bought my dress), which was an incredibly stressful environment and I ended up being really disappointed in the fit of my dress at the end. The top fit very strange and felt like it was going to fall off. The original place just told me to put some double sided tape on it (??). That's when I found Sugarcane Studios. Tara knew exactly what to do to fix the issues and I finally feel comfortable and ready to get married in the dress! Bonus - they are extremely upfront about the costs of alterations. They have a lists of prices that they go through with you after your first appt so that you know exactly what to expect. I wish I did my research before my first alternations process and went to Sugarcane from the beginning. Don't make my mistake!! She's also making a custom veil for me which will include some left over lace from my alterations process. Also, a lot of those shipping places starting at $70 anyway. It was coach. I took it to the coach shop, but they also did not fix that. With that in mind, I went back to where she had it fixed. The people working in there were incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. They were upfront about the cost and let me know the waiting time. One of them makes their own jewelry and it's super beautiful. Luckily, the watch took less time than the maximum amount I would be waiting, but I was fine either way. They called and I went and picked it up today. The two humans were working and I can tell they truly want to help and enjoy their job. The Crystal was a bit particular but it looks just like new. The cost was $80 with tax which I found very fair as they replaced the battery as well. Wonderful establishment with great employees who are professional and approachable. Recommend it for sure.

The machines all appeared to be in working order as I didn't see the normal tell tale sign of bad management where half the machines have a 'out of order' sign on them. The reason I'm giving this place two stars is that the thing that appalled me was the cleanliness of this place. It is ABSOLUTELY disgusting. The (white) painted walls in the front are all brown with 'age?', the washing machine fronts have 'crust' on the glass, the floors? well it looks like someone scraped up the linoleum tiles and just left the dirty concrete and the overall vibe of the place is one of dirtiness. And while the attendant was nice she read a book the entire time instead of cleaning. Maybe she's just there to give change and do laundry for customers that drop off.. I don't know. Either way, there is a MUCH nicer, newer and cleaner one down the street, but this one has what that one is lacking and it's LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. You can walk to EVERYTHING from this spot. Food, banking, shopping, grocery, etc. I mean it's not Rodeo Drive, but it's convenient.
