Excellent service, and very reliable, Gary recently helped us replace a keyfob to our rental car that i lost during our ski trip at Copper Mountain. We called 7 or 8 other places, and none of them would come out to help us or return our phone calls. We called Blue River Lock and Security around 4:30 PM, and Gary told us he had 5 or 6 more calls ahead of us, but he would get to us. At 11:45 PM, he showed up and unlocked the car, and reprogrammed a new keyfob. That's incredible service. Thank you again, Gary! read more

Unreliable and unpleasant. My family (myself , pregnant wife, 2 year old daughter, and dog) had our digital keypad die in breckenridge. The property manager was out of town. Gary said he could be there within two hours. Two hours later I give him a call and he said he wasn't sure when he could make it because he was helping his wife with chores. I said I had a two year old needing a nap and he said he would be here within the hour. I was very thankful. I checked in an hour later and he didn't pick up. We tried a handful more times over the next hour but no answer. We were hoping he was on the road on the way over. After a total of 4.5 hours after our initial call we found another locksmith who lived 90 minutes away and we promised him we would still pay him even if Gary showed up sooner. At hour five my wife called Gary from her phone and he picked up right away. He had been ignoring my calls on purpose for the past two hours, leaving us in limbo wondering if he was showing up. He hadn't left yet and said he would leave in fifteen minutes. We said don't bother and we'd get someone else. He had the nerve of saying good luck finding anyone else, I'm the only one. He didn't know we already had one on the way from Avon. He could have just said he couldn't make it and that would have been OK. Or even had he answered the phone after 3 hours in and told me he wasn't coming that would have been better than ignoring my calls. I could have found someone else sooner or just returned to Denver. It was the not knowing and not having the courtesy to shoot straight that left us sitting by the condo door trying to entertain a cranky toddler. You can't trust Gary. And after all that he had the nerve to be rude to my wife. read more

I got out of my car to check on my grandchild that was crying in the back seat. As I got out of the car (which I left running with the air conditing on the doors locked. It was the most scary moment I have ever had. I was on a highway and immediatley began to wave down anyone who would stop. The nicest couple stopped and we used their cell phone to call Blue River. I can't say enough how great these guys are! I lost my car key on the mountain and could not go home on Sunday, I called a key and towing company but they couldn't make car keys, so they referred me to blue river. I called and got someone on the phone immediately, within 15 minutes we are on our way to the car. It was Sunday afternoon and snowing hard, but they had no problems helping me immediately. They made sure my problem was resolved before leaving my side. My keys were found later so I was lucky, but I won't hesitate to call them if I ever need help with locks or keys. read more

We lost a set of car keys unloading our car in the dark on Spring Break in Breckenridge. Got burried in the snow. Gary came out at 10 pm on a Saturday night and got the car unlocked so we could unload the rest of our luggage and then worked very hard until close to midnight trying to determine if he could make a duplicate key. We found the key the next day and called him and asked how could we make him whole for spending so much time the night before for something that was my mistake and he said not to worry about it. I am parent to a precocious and curious 18 month old. When putting him into his car seat, he often likes to hold my car keys. Long story short.... he locked himself in the car WITH my car keys. After assessing all other alternatives for getting him out of the car, I resorted to calling Blue River Lock & Security. When I asked what the cost would be for the work, he (sorry I can't recall the technician's name) said that it would be free as "there was a child locked in the car". I have a high end front entry lock set from Stone River Bronze that has cheap parts probably made in some 3rd world country. It fell apart after some mishandling. I have had two other locksmiths work on it. The handle remained wobbly and the mechanism did not work properly. I called Gary at Blue River Lock.
