Stay far away from any rental managed by this company. Look out for AIRBNB and VRBO. I truly feel bad for property owners using this management company as they are incredibly negligent in their management, communication, and execution. We rented a home through their company for a weekend in blowing rock and had a disaster of an experience. We arrived at 5pm on a Thursday to no heat or hot water. After several hours of trying to reach their "emergency line" due to a gas smell in the home, I resorted to calling 911. Blue ridge sends their renters to an offshore call center at 5pm on a weekday with no one local to talk to. After we have spent several thousand dollars a night, this is simply inexcusable and poor customer service. As it turns out, blue ridge management had neglected to fill the propane to the home and we had to pack up and leave with two small children in below freezing temps and icy roads. The fire department pointed out that there was no working smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector or working heat, and that the condo was not safe to stay. After repeated calls to blue ridge the next morning, a representative assured me that I would be compensated for the hotel stay we had to purchase since we were displaced by their rental mismanagement. After several back and forth emails with blue ridge representative, "Amy Wright", I was informed that they had reneged on their promise to compensate. And that a refund of just the amount paid was "fair".

Update: I finally heard back from BRMR and got my cleaning fee refunded. So, for that, I'll give them 2 stars. However, they did inform me that that their rental policy states that an unclean rental "does not warrant a refund". I don't know why you're charging a cleaning fee in the first place then. All in all, I still won't be using this rental company again. DISGUSTING! If you have allergies or asthma, DO NOT USE THIS RENTAL COMPANY! Please listen to all of the other one star reviews! I wish I had looked up the Yelp reviews before renting through this company. As soon as we walked in we could tell that the cabin had never been cleaned. There were leaves and mud tracks across the entry, the duvet had dirt across the side, dead bugs on the carpet, pet hair and leaves on the furniture, and very dusty! "Brianna" is who supposedly cleaned this cabin, so if this is clean, I'd hate to see her house. I've called to complain about the housekeeping and I've yet to hear back from anyone. I will never book a cabin through Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals again! A room at nearest cheap motel is likely to be much cleaner than any cabin this company offer. Also, if you own a cabin and are looking to rent it out, please look for a different rental agency!

I have had such a bad experience using BRMR to manage my home in Banner Elk. I was constantly told things would get done and they never did. My house was managed by them for 3 months and it was never listed because they kept delaying work they said they would do. When I escalated and got the owner involved it was just more excuses and no results. They never let me know that dates had changed, I had to ask and then would be told that the work didn't get done and they would make another promise that would be broken. Added screen shot from BRMR owner who apologized for the problems and allowed me to terminate without a fee. This proves that BRMR lied in their response to my review on Trustpilot, where they said my cabin was not "up to their standards" and that was why we parted ways. This really proves that my issue with the integrity of this company is valid.

We rented from BRMR at Bear Tracks at Eagles Nest. The pictures on the website were from 2018, fast forward to 2023, the house was in rough shape for a luxury cabin rental. Dog hair was all over the floor and the house had a wet dog smell. No cleaning supplies were left for us to clean up. The vacuum didn't work properly. The towels smelled musty and old. The home was beautiful but just dirty. The location was far away from a local grocery store so I would suggest to pick up groceries on the way to the destination. We paid an extra $125 for fire wood, the company left it outside so it was soaking wet, it would not light. The blankets and rugs left in the home for us to use look like they haven't been washed in months. There were scuff marks all over the walls... they were in desperate need of a pain job. We paid over $500 a night I guess I was expecting a cleaner experience. The hot tub was filthy as well even though they stated it was cleaned.

Do cleaners keep entire cleaning fee? I think this is the usual practice but have heard Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals keeps a large percentage of the fee. Thank you.

Don't know about all rental agencies, but BR sure kept all of ours when we rented from them.

First, the pictures available online don't do justice to the beauty of the location. The cabin sits just above a burbling stream. It lies at the end of a mile-long gravel road with plenty of up-and-down, blind corners, and two gates. This feels like a truly secluded spot. It is visible from the road, which is just on the other side and above the stream. But, as we experienced in late July, the dense foliage obscures the cabin. The cabin itself is both well-equipped and rustic. The kitchen has most utensils and cooking equipment, including a rice cooker, electric skillet, toaster oven, microwave, etc. everything was older but clean and functional. There is a single full bathroom with shower and a half bath upstairs. A washer-dryer set is very helpful. Internet access is a plus because cell service is spotty or nonexistent. For fellow jigsaw puzzlers, the kitchen table is perfect for a 1000 or 1,500 piece challenge. The deck is absolutely lovely. Given the location, the sun didn't hit the cabin until mid-morning, and never fell under the roofed portion of the deck. We were able to sit outside from early morning to evening in relative comfort. We brought citronella candles, which kept the bugs away - but those weren't bad at all. The owners ask that you removed the trash and clean up upon leaving - a usual request. They also ask for guests to wash and dry the sheets and sweep/mop upon leaving - a less common ask. The bedding was adequate. Older pillows and a firm, creaky master bed could be updated. This is not a touristy area. Those lie north and east of here. We brought all of our own food. If you plan to eat out, or shop out regularly, you will need to drive some distance/time. Within an hour's drive - and you will need to travel to take in the area and get supplies - are several wonderful spots. Be sure to hike Stone Mountain State Park. What a beautiful, well-maintained park! Bring your bikes and complete the 20-mile round trip rail-trail between Todd and Freeport. Gorgeous, easy ride along the New Fork River. Get baked goods at the Todd Mercantile store. Boone has some shopping and organic groceries, but is a solid two-hour round trip. Looking for adventure. Drive north on the main road, take the gravel road (left) at the fork, and follow the mountain road about 5 miles to the Blue Ridge Parkway. One of us enjoyed that very much; the other less so given the hairpin turns and steep drops. We definitely recommend Blue River Cabin.

From the moment we opened the first entry gate, we felt like a wonderful adventure was about to begin. The cabin is spacious, spotlessly clean, and supplied with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing, totally peaceful getaway. Falling asleep to the sound of the rushing water and waterfalls ...well, it just doesn't get any better than that. We will definitely return, and several of our friends are already wanting to book a stay also!

We especially enjoyed the hot tub, playing pool, the big-screen TVs, the two living rooms, and the beautiful scenery. During our stay, we spent one day skiing at Sugar Mountain and another day snow tubing, which everyone loved. Hot Water: On a particularly cold day--when temperatures dropped to nine degrees, and there was snow on the ground--we returned from skiing and discovered there was no hot water when everyone was ready to shower. We called Carolina Cabin Rentals, and were so glad they sent someone the following morning to fix it. Snow and Driveway Conditions: That same day, a van carrying several family members took nearly two hours to make it up the snow-packed hill to the cabin, even with chains on the tires. We bought a shovel and rock salt in case it snowed again. We left the shovel there. Kitchen Supplies: Be sure to bring potholders, trash bags, paper towels, dishwasher detergent, dishwashing soap, a sponge, and kitchen towels. We also found there wasn't enough silverware for our group's size, and had to purchase plastic utensils. The coffee pot was too small for our large group - you might consider bringing a large coffee pot. Bathroom Door Locks: The family members staying near the pool table area noted that several bathroom doors did not lock. Front Motion Light: The motion-activated light at the front of the cabin was triggered frequently at night, likely due to wildlife. Unfortunately, the light shone through the blinds into the front bedroom, making it difficult to sleep. A blackout shade in that window could be a helpful improvement for future guests. These are all minor inconveniences, I know, but overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the rustic charm of the cabin and our time in the Banner Elk, NC area.

I hope the owners did some maintenance and replaced some very scratched furniture but we couldn't ask for a more responsive rental company.

I would give them a zero stars if I could…read more Let's start with this: we told them from day one that we would be staying with 2 small dogs. They sent us a quote which they stated INCLUDED the pet fee at $60 per dog plus tax. I clicked the direct link from that email and booked the cabin. Fast forward to a few days after we check out, they email me stating that we never paid for the dogs. You said your original quote included the dog fees?! Not my fault you didn't charge us enough. They admitted via email that it was an oversight on their part and instead of charging us the remaining $44 from our quote, they charged us $132. THEN they proceeded to say that they needed to charge MORE for pet cleanup and proceeded to charge my card another $100. $232 for pets?! What is the pet fee for then if not "cleanup?" They just wanted an excuse to charge us more money. They saw an opportunity (that they screwed up to begin with) and took it. Then they proceeded to make up lies about other issues in the house regarding our pets even though FOUR people cleaned that house prior to leaving. Interesting. Do not rent from 4 Seasons- their customer service is awful, they overcharge and are flat out rude. There are many other options for rental companies in the area. They will probably respond to this with more excuses like they did my google review. Stop trying to make yourself look good 4 Seasons. I'm not the first one to leave a negative review - and not the first one to say that you scam people of their money :)
