I definitely would never buy another appliance from appliance. I purchased over $12,000 worth of appliances for my new house. The installers were completely incompetent and they hooked up the water but not the drain so when we first used the washer, it resulted in water running down to the first floor through the ceiling. I might add that we spent $950 to have the appliances installed correctly. I have built other houses and never had that experience! When I called to complain, the sales person said it was our fault for not checking! He was very rude and he basically hung up on us. The worse customer service EVER!!! We paid for a stove that needed to be ordered. We paid in full in advance for the stove. Called to check on the order. Was told the stove we ordered (and paid for in full) had been SOLD, and we would have to pay an additional $200 to order an additional stove. This was ONLY the beginning of a terrible experience. The oven door shattered after only 6 months and had to be replaced. Then, a few weeks later, a terrible clanking sound and a burning smell would start when the oven was turned on. It was LOUD! We called Blueridge and they told us we would have to contact the manufacturer. They didn't offer to have someone come and look at the stove, nor did they offer ANY advice. We finally found Appliance Grandmasters, who came out and fixed the stove. Turns out, the problem was that the fan had been damaged during transit! The repairman was able to fix it in 15 minutes! Hats off to Appliance Grandmasters. HIGHLY recommend them! As for Blueridge, absolutely the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! And, our salesperson, Lewis, is absolutely worthless. read more

I purchased a Speed Queen washer and dryer. They had them in stock but due to their schedule couldn't deliver them for 10 days. I called them the morning of delivery and said that due to the configuration of my laundry room, they'd need to bring a directional exhaust kit. I was told the installer would have it on the truck. They arrived, brought in the appliances but didn't have the correct vent. They'd order it but it would postpone installation for another week. I asked if I called around and found the part would that speed up the install and was told sure if you get it tomorrow morning, we'll come out in the afternoon. I found the part, took a 2.5 hour road trip to buy it and called. Lewis said it would have to be Tuesday because their installers didn't show up. The manager Mike said that their installers dont work Fridays. When I explained what Lewis told me, he got rude. I'm not responsible for what someone else promised. It'll be Tuesday, like it or not. I was so excited to get my new appliances and they're not cheap. This company deserves every bad review they get. Wish I'd done better checking them out beforehand. Every week we would call them and every week they said they would 'get back to us'. Which they never did. The manager is such an ass he wouldn't even give us the part number so we could order it ourselves. Everybody that works in this store is a liar, from the office girls to the owner. The general attitude is that YOU ARE AN INCONVENIENCE! If I could give Blue Ridge Appliance a lower score, I would! After reading all of the 1-star reviews, our HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE makes perfect sense. We made an appointment for a dryer repair, waited almost a week because they only service our area on Wednesday. I missed the call to let me know that the repairman, Jeff was on his way. But, I called him back less than 2 minutes later, he did not answer his phone. I called the Blue Ridge Appliance office a half hour later when the repairman didn't show up at our house. My adult son was at our house on the scheduled repair day, we were told that we missed the appointment. IF the Blue Ridge Appliance employee came, he did not come to the door. We were told that he left his card at the back door and on my son's truck, there was no card anywhere! WE HAD TO RESCHEDULE for the following Wednesday. This time we had my oldest son, his girlfriend, and my younger son all on the lookout for the employee to arrive. He called me to let me know that he was on the way, I told him that both of my sons were at the house. He immediately asked if they were over 18, I assured him that they were. Something in his tone indicated that he was hoping to not have to come out, but I dismissed the feeling. We hung up and he called me right back to ask if my son was going to pay, I said that my son had my credit card, he immediately said that I would have to pay 4% extra for a card. I said OKAY. There was an awkward silence, again, I got the feeling that he really didn't want to do the job. I dismissed the bad feeling that I had until he arrived at our house. My son sent a group text letting my husband and I know that the man was at our house AND NOT VERY HAPPY because our washer & dryer were stacked. NO ONE asked me if the washer & dryer were stacked. I was at the end of my rope, why was I being made to feel like I had to beg a company to help me when I was paying them to do a job? The repairman didn't appear to know what he was doing, my son said he was googling for a solution. In the end, he suggested we get a new dryer, he said that he couldn't get his "device" to troubleshoot what was wrong with our 3-year-old Maytag dryer. REALLY? They charged us $128.10 for that. He said he could try to fix it but it could be over $500. Meanwhile, I had called the office to complain about his overall poor attitude. I explained that I understood that they had policies to follow, but that there is a way to ask a question without sounding like you are irritated or like you just don't want to work. I told the lady who answered the phone, Angel, that I would like to speak to a manager or a supervisor, her response was "there isn't anyone here with those titles." REALLY? You know what I'm asking! It seems the general attitude comes from within. We finally got to the fact that the owner's son, Michael wasn't in and that she would have him call me, it was like pulling teeth. Incidentally, the first thing listed on the receipt from the 2nd visit is "no one home." This makes me question his story from the previous week when someone was home but he claimed there was no one home. It makes me question if he didn't quite get out of the driveway on that 2nd visit because my son came out to greet him. Meanwhile we had gone 2 weeks without a dryer. I want Blue Ridge Appliance to know that I am happy to call another company, one who wants my business. I told Angel that I assumed that since Blue Ridge Appliance was in business, that they wanted to do business. I told Angel that the way Jeff (the repairman) talked to me and acted in my home, it was as if they didn't want our business. WE WERE AN INCONVENIENCE! I am perplexed by this. If you don't want to be in business, close up shop, don't take it out on your customers. My advice is, don't even bother calling Blue Ridge Appliance, just call one of the several other options. You will be happy you did, and it seems that Blue Ridge Appliance will be happy you did as well. read more

We scheduled appliance repair for the fourth time since buying our washer/dryer from them 17 months ago. They canceled us because they said they called which we have not received a phone call from them. They tried to schedule us for the next week. No thank you! Purchased and had a fireplace installed from them. 1st THEY ordered the wrong model number and tried to change it out and it didn't fit. Then they brought over the right one and replaced it. I am appalled at the overall experience. On July 25th I called to make an appt to repair my 90 year old mother's refrigerator. At the time she had 2 large cabinet style units side by side. The refrigerator on the left was working fine and the one in the right was freezing items in the top back part of the fridge. I called 3 refrigerator repair places given to me by the manufacturer's call center and located throughout western NC. This company was the only one that allegedly could work on a Liebherr Premium No Frost so the list was stale. They told me they charge $155 for the first 1/2 hour and $2.20 per minute after that for a service technician. 8/10 -sent technician who spent almost the entire time on the phone with tech support trying to direct him. I called my mother after 2 hours and the "technician" was still there. He said he wasn't able to assess the problem because the mother board was frozen. He said it could take up to 5 hours to defrost and he could come back and reschedule another day. I asked if we could make a follow up quickly because everything in her refrigerator would go bad and he indicated it might be up to 2 weeks before the dispatcher could make another appt and order parts. Mom shifted everything to the other unit that had been working. 3 days later the left unit was totally dead and the right unit was completely frozen. On 8/12/21 this company charged my credit card $376.83. On 8/16/21 I Left a message that the repair man who came on 8/10 made the situation worse and the original call was for the fridge top shelf/ back area that froze. Now the entire fridge freezes whatever is in there instead of defrost to access the mother board. At that point, they had not followed up with pricing for parts. When Louis did call back and left a message he basically said it wasn't the technician's fault because sometimes things happen when you tackle a problem and nothing the tech did caused the problem and it probably was going to fail anyway. Seriously!!! On 8/30- @ 6:03 AM I was woken up by Louis and we began with a civil conversation. I opted to stay awake and speak with him because I wanted to resolve this issue. I told him that the technician made the situation much worse. His 2 comments to me that stunned me were 1) they didn't know how to work on that particular type of fridge. At that point I said then you shouldn't have made that appointment. Or at least left when it was realized they couldn't work on it. But instead the tech tried to get directions on what to do on the phone. All at my expense!! The #2 comment he said was " That the problem created would have happened anyway". I said are you serious? Would have happened could be 1 day or never and I don't think I should have to be responsible to pay them for a worse problem- let alone for the assessment the technician could not handle. I started off the conversation by saying I was willing to compromise and pay the initial $155. But I felt the ethical thing to do would be for them to credit me the balance. Louis said he didn't think they would agree to that. I restated that they made the situation worse. Louis informed me that parts and labor would be $1,696 + tax and asked if he should go ahead and order the parts!!! Seriously!!!! My reason for posting this is I truly feel this may be a case of them taking advantage of an older person living in a nice home. How convenient that the problem is now much bigger than the original call. Why would I want to do business with them if this is the way they handled my first contact? Please find another place to shop and get repairs. I have wasted too much time and the owners clearly are not interested in resolving this. That $155 initial fee for the first half hour would be justified if I was paying for knowledge and expertise but they didn't have that. We would have been better off buying an American refrigerator from an appliance store in her neighborhood. read more

STOP!!!! Before you purchase from Home Depot ask the salesperson who will be coming out to your house for a repair. If it is Blue Ridge, STOP and leave the store! When you call for an appointment they will tell you that there is a window from 12 to 6pm. You schedule and appointment at 4:30. Even if you have confirmed this appointment with a "human being" three times, if you miss the phone call the day of the service the appointment will be CANCELLED and rescheduled. If you work and make arrangements to be at an appointment at a certain time you expect the service people to follow through on their end. The answer I was given was, "The technicians finished their jobs earlier, I know you were scheduled for 4:30 but we sent them home, we will have to reschedule the appointment." "I can't pay my service techs to sit around waiting for your appointment." When you call back to reschedule the cancelled appointment, NO empathy from the ladies that answer the phone to reschedule. When you speak with them about why they cancelled the appointments he will say, "There is no guarantee that our service tech will be there at the scheduled time, we can't predict how long a job will take." WHY MAKE AN APPOINTMENT THEN!!!!!?????? DO NOT purchase a product (washer) from Home Depot knowing that Blue Ridge will be the service people. The one star I gave is for the technician that came to our house twice. He pretty much had to rebuild the new washer. He was professional, kind and loved our dog. Thank you. read more

I have never dealt with such an "unprofessional company as Blue Ridge Appliance" I am a new resident to the Hendersonville area, when my washer broke I contacted them, paid $95 for the service call. Diagnosis was the electrical board in the washer needed to be replaced. My home warranty company only asked for a written cost estimate on the parts needed and once received, they would give them immediate payment by credit card to order the parts. I spoke to Danielle on a Friday who understood what was needed. Danielle promised to get working on the estimate, not hearing anything, I followed back up on Tuesday (4 days later) Danielle was waiting for her Service Manager to help complete the estimate. Now it's Friday (3 more days later) never hearing anything from Blue Ridge Appliance, I called Danielle to follow up and verify she had sent the estimate, received authorization and payment from my Home Warranty Co.? To learn "NO" her Service Manager said they did not want to take on new business with a Home Warranty Co. plus they had a technician quit and would not be able to take care of me. WHAT? When was she going to tell me? Since I had not heard there was a problem I believed parts were ordered, paid for and all was in the works to get my washer repaired. Now I know Danielle is only the messenger and doing what her Service-Gen. Mgr. possible Owner tells her. When I originally was in Blue Ridge Appliance, inquiring about repair or purchasing a new washer it was about 4:30pm. I observed, the General Manager-Owner Mike interrupting the front desk receptionist Sam while she was talking to me and going to show me washers they had in stock. I got the feeling he was trying to wrap the day up so they could leave at 5:00pm. Mike never once introduced himself, he interrupted Sam asking about service orders he had and then interjected what price washers were all in a nonchalant way. I saw poor management, employees afraid to make a decision with out General Mgr. Mikes blessing and now a loss of a sale of a washer, grill for sure and possibly an outdoor kitchen all because of poor service. Don't waste your time with Blue Ridge Appliance which is a shame since they do have nice gas fire places, outdoor kitchens and grills. I hope the individual if Mike or the corporation owner of Blue Ridge Appliance will see the money being left on the table all because their service and follow through is lacking. My satisfaction is my profession being tied into the Real Estate Industry and Development for the area, I can detour new residents from doing business with Blue Ridge Appliance. read more

If you buy appliances from Blue Ridge, DO NOT use them for installation. We purchased high-end dishwasher and cooktop and at time of purchase 1-hr installation fee of $165 was included in total, with additional time being charged at $2.40/min. We asked if they thought installation of these 2 appliances might take longer than an hr and were told prob not, but if so, additional time was pro-rated. We had uninstalled old appliances, cooktop in 5 min, dishwasher in approx 30 min. After arriving 2-1/2 hrs past expected time, 2 installers took 5-1/2 hrs for installations, including making 2 trips to stores for hose and fittings. Items needed were not noticed at one time, so they left twice. They were oblivious to water puddles on our hardwood floors from dishwasher and when I started toweling it up, was told condescendingly they'd do it. I should have said, "you aren't doing it, so I am." On one of their store runs, I picked up plastic floor "protector" they set in front of dishwasher and floor was sopping underneath. Bill for installation was $707.29!! Installer pointed out he didn't charge for time they were at store, but added in $112 for small ordinary plumbing parts. I am certain a handyman or plumber would have completed installation in far less time and cost. read more

The WORST customer service I have ever experienced. First contacted them in mid November about a stove still under warranty. They came to assess on 11/22 and determined it was a part that they didn't have in stock. Totally understood that. Then, it's crickets for over a month. I hear zero updates until I called them. Finally, we get the install scheduled for 1/20 with the parameters that I need it to be completed before 2:30pm - confirmed by a man named Louis/Lewis. A woman who says she's in charge of scheduling calls me late in the day on 1/19 to say they can only come at the end of the day on 1/20 when no one will be home. I say that doesn't suit as no one will be home and I will have to reschedule. I'm pretty frustrated at this point. Then I get a voicemail and an email this afternoon (less than 48 hrs after I said I needed to reschedule as their amended time did not work with my availability) that states they are sending the part back to the manufacturer and I need to find someone else to handle the repairs. This is my first negative review of a business online. I'm a huge supporter of and believer in small businesses. This company has HORRIBLE customer service. Be forewarned and take your business elsewhere before you're 2 months into a broken stove and have to start over from scratch. read more

UPDATE. Amoung items purchased from "Blue Ridge Appliance" was a stimulated coal burning gas insert, recommended by the owner. It came with no directions on how to start up and operate. After sending an email requesting help, my wife received an email from the owner simply telling her to stop by their showroom and they would be glad to show her how to start up (light) and operate the insert. A few days later we sent one of our competent employees to "Blue Ridge Appliance" to get instructions. Upon arriving and requesting help on the instructions, he was informed they were short on help and too busy to help him and then instructed him to contact the manufacturer. Either they didn't know how to operate products they sell or customer service means absolutely nothing to them, probably both. Its maddening to do what they requested to obtain instructions only to be told to call the manufacturer. This is a perfect example of how they conduct business and God help us if we ever have problems with any of the several appliances we purchased at "Blue Ridge Appliance ". This review is a SERIOUS WARNING to anyone who is thinking about using "Blue Ridge Appliances" for any reason. I had big problems with the installation of my wood burning fire place insert. The installers had to come out 3 times. I'm still not happy with the outcome but am DONE with the fight. First visit - didn't bring the correct tool and had to hack out the flue resulting in my insert sticking out a bit too much from the fireplace; second visit - they didn't tighten the external parts of the insert and then tried to charge me for the work; third visit - they used spray paint to cover a screw and left a spray paint mark on the insert. Sloppy work, no compensation from manager to make it right. I won't do business with them again. read more

My advice if you need your appliance repaired: AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE !!! These are the most unfriendly, unhelpful, disorganized people I have ever met in the appliance repair field. My experience with them in getting an under the counter refrigerator fixed was totally unacceptable. It took 2 trips of me taking the refrigerator there before they finally fixed it, $ 300 later. I had requested they at least they deliver the refrigerator to my home, after missing the real problem the first time, but they refused. I won't use them again, and I won't buy anything there. I would find another appliance & fireplace store rather than use Blue Ridge. There are several in the area so it's not like they're the only game in town & their prices are certainly not a bargain.. My experience with them is as follows. They installed a fireplace remote control with receiver that sits in the firebox itself last April. The remote control worked great for several months but stopped working recently. I called them & they told me the unit only had a 30-day warranty. The wanted me to pay $170 for a new unit up front before they would order it. I did some online research of the receiver unit made by SkyTech. When I went to their website, they sold a replacement receiver for $125 with a limited lifetime warranty - not a 30-day warranty as told me from Blue Ridge. I know that small businesses need to make a profit but their price margin of 36% is way out of line. I also downloaded the user manual which Blue Ridge didn't give me when they replaced my original receiver unit last April. I guess they assumed I already had one but didn't ask me. As it turns out, I discovered that the batteries in the receiver unit were dead. I replaced those & everything now works. It's my fault that I didn't remember to check the batteries first, but I would have expected that Blue Ridge would have brought that to my attention first rather than automatically assuming I needed a new receiver unit. This is not the only time I've dealt with Blue Ridge for service. I needed a kitchen range serviced & they put in the wrong part. A few weeks later, the range caught on fire & nearly burned the kitchen down before I could extinguish it. The fire marshal examined the remains & said it was the part that Blue Ridge put in that started the fire. I'm usually pretty easy-going but I find whenever I call their office they are very short & sometimes quite snippy. Not exactly the customer service you'd expect from a small business trying to grow. Word of mouth is vital to a company like that. read more

I had a very positive experience with Blue Ridge so I'm adding this in contrast to the others I have read. We bought a Bosch Dishwasher and had it installed the next day. The owner was extremely helpful as were the others in the store and the installation guys were great. The installation was somewhat involved because it requires side mounting under a granite countertop. It was therefore somewhat time consuming and more expensive but the Bosch dishwasher works great and is Extremely Quiet as they had promised. read more

They patiently worked with me to help me select the best products for my needs and held it until the job was ready for it. They offered to do the install but I declined since I had someone who could do it for me. I ended up having questions about what parts were needed to install so I gave Mike a call and he kindly took the time to answer all my questions. I feel really good about supporting the economy of our community by shopping at this small family-owed business and they can rest assured, I'll be back for my future appliance and hearth needs. They delivered a unit that was defective. When my wife called them about she was told by Sharon that the business would not take it back, service it or order the part to make it function, we had bought it and it was ours to deal with. Later that day the same Hag called back and said she would take it back, so they came out and picked it up. 3 months later we still have not been credited the amount paid. The last time dealing with it Sharon wanted a 20% restocking fee. If they are gonna restock a non functioning unit, I wonder how many times the unit has been sold and returned for 20% fee. After getting nothing but the run around we are handing it over to the attorney to handle. Attorneys get paid to deal with crooks, my wife and I do not. I had to put 1 star, because negative stars weren't an option. The merchandise, customer service and competency of this business is the worst I have ever experienced. Our family purchased a few appliances from Blue Ridge Appliance and Hearth not long ago. After the delivery and exchange of money we found out the true business they have become in recent years. We were very disappointed in the way we were treated and will not be recommending this family owned business to anyone in the area. I would recommend in this area to just do business with the local big box stores. If something does goes wrong they will make it right without a lot of hassle. Beyond Excellent Customer Service. I realize everyone has a unique set of circumstances and experiences but I personally did not experience one bad interaction with Blue Ridge Appliance. We just moved here and had a built in refrigerator that broke. I called all the larger appliance chains in Asheville and the surrounding areas, nobody could find me one until late December or January. An associate from Best Buy told me if I find one sooner then the late December/early January timeline let him know because he called around everywhere and that's the best they could do. I knew I couldn't live without a refrigerator until December/January. I found Blue Ridge Appliance online and explained my situation, they found me a beautiful refrigerator and delivered it two days later. My current home needs all new appliances and I will certainly be purchasing them all from Blue Ridge Appliance. Sorry to have to write this. I thought they were reputable. Bought adishwasher . The install was billed at 571$. It took two men 4 hours. I knew it was going to be a difficult installation. The head installer said at the end he would Have the owner Mike do the billing because he didn't feel 400 would be right. He was right when my wife called and spoke to Sharon who said the bill was 571. Mike told he to reduce it to 440 dollars. The washer cost 525. I went down and spoke with Mike's father who basically said tough that's what it is . Mike did call me . Basically the same thing. Oh we bought a garbage disposal at the time of the washer purchase. 175$. They couldn't give me a price on the air turn on switch when we where there. They called later with a high price on it . We decided to forgo that and brought the disposal back. We got charged 35$ restocking fee. Mike said that because of credit card fees and how they are not Lowe's. 4 % credit fee would have been under 8$. Mike also said its all on the bill about restock fee. It is, if the employee was capable of giving use the cost when were there we would not have puchased it. Mike also said he tells his installers to access a job and give the client an idea of what the cost would be. They did not do that. We trusted this place. We had our guard down because we have had a lot success with contractors who have worked on our home and have felt we were given a fair deal. Also charged 18 for a electric box and duplex , under 5 dollars retail at any hardware store. If you think I m nitpicking and even 440 dollars is not excessive feel free to use them . My landlady called these folks to fix the dryer of a stacked washer/dryer because it was loudly and rhythmically squealing in time with the drum turning. She requested that they replace all parts that commonly wear in that dryer at the same time. She gave them the make and model number so they could bring parts along. They took well over a week to respond, and when the repair person did finally arrive he took it apart, put a little grease in couple places, replaced no parts, fumbled at putting it back together and charged considerable. After two dryer loads the dryer began to make extremely loud banging sounds. When this was called in it was met with considerable resistance by the person answering the phone. The same repair person came a couple days later without any notice, and with no preparation or sense of what was happening, as if the person answering the phone hadn't told him anything. It took him hearing the banging to believe it. He took the dryer apart, but had come without parts. I gave him a couple screws I had laying around so he could secure something that was loose. He pronounced it fixed and hurriedly left. On the very next dryer load the loud banging returned. They took two weeks to return this time, after requiring that my landlady pay for parts ahead of time. The same repair person came, replaced some parts, charged considerable more for the time, said it was fixed, and left. First load in the dryer after the repair person left didn't dry, checked and saw the drum was not turning, though the sound of the motor could be heard. Another call and managed to talk with one of the owners this time. She sent out two older men three days later, who took it all apart to discover that the drum was jammed and had burned up the belt that was one of the parts the earlier repair person had replaced. They took pictures and discussed together how it was now jammed because all the banging had bent some things, and that it was not their fault because someone else had been in there before they had been called the first time, this based on the "evidence" of some screws missing from the dryer's back plate. Their "logic" was that those missing screws (3 out of 16) had loosened the structure up enough to allow the previous banging from the loose plate (that was NOT loose when they were first called) to bend some of the structure. It is very clear that the two men's sole purpose for coming out was to find a way to avoid all responsibility. They went away leaving the stacked washer/dryer disassembled,, parts spread out in the garage. They then called my landlady and told her that the cause was not their responsibility because someone had been in there before them, and that it would cost her another $600 in parts plus $65 an hour to fix and reassemble it, to be paid for up front. At this point she had already spent in the neighborhood of $300 with them. Throughout all of this the person in the office answering the phone was adversarial (from the get go), resistant to any real communication, and actually became threatening when challenged to rectify what was obviously occurring. My landlady dropped it and went to Home Depot and replaced the stacked washer/dryer with a washer and a dryer side by side that are great. They were on sale and cost $600 for both. The epilog is that the only previous repair that was done to that stacked washer/dryer was done by Blue Ridge Appliance, a few years prior, to replace the heating element. My landlady was eventually able to find the receipt for that repair.. And in googling around, one common way to access and replace the heating element for that dryer is to remove the back plate that it is attached to, the one with some screws missing that they used as "evidence" for avoiding responsibility. And, to top it off, the stacked washer/dryer was purchased from Blue Ridge only a couple years prior to that. Never in my long life have I seen such persistent incompetence and willful irresponsibility. read more

Do not do business with them I made an appointment for Wednesday which they told me they had available and the time was between 8-1 so they have a lot of time in between taking up almost my entire day... I made my appointment Friday receive a call Monday and they say it will actually be 3 WEEKS till they can come... Very dissatisfied with this company. In October 2017 Blue Ridge Appliance (BRA) made a warranty visit related to a problem with our DCS cooktop. Upon arrival, the tech immediately called his Service Manager at BRA. The Service Manager could be heard clearly telling the tech that we were liars about the problem and did not know how to care for our appliance. Subsequently, the manufacturer will not fix the appliance as a result of this visit by BRA. We wrote a letter to the owner of BRA complaining about how we were treated, but received no reply. Not a company we would recommend. read more

Please, do yourself a favor and call someone else. Life is stressful enough without paying someone to be rude to you, take your money put off your repair and change price quote before even coming back to complete the repair. read more

We will not be calling this business again. We called them about repairing the icemaker on our refrigerator. Water was pouring out of it, so we had to turn the icemaker off to prevent flooding in our kitchen. The first repairman came and diagnosed that we needed a new valve to fix it. He told us he would order the part, and we would be called about an appointment to install it. We had to pay the initial service charge. He also told us we would need to empty the entire refrigerator and freezer the night before they would be coming. This was a major inconvenience. The second repairman came a week later and was puzzled as to why we emptied the refrigerator. He said it wasn't necessary. He replaced the valve and charged us $150, but left before I plugged the refrigerator back in and turned on the icemaker. Another flood began! I turned the water off and called the repairman back. He said he would call the store and see what to do?! We called the store and spoke with the manager, Mike. He said it sounded as if we needed another part replaced. The second repairman came back again and replaced another part which was another $64. I ask him if he needed to wait and see if it worked, but he said it would need some time to start working. Guess what, it didn't work!! I decided to go directly to the store and speak with the manager about it. I had to wait 40 min. but I was determined to speak with him. He told me we probably needed something else replaced, but offered to do it without charging us labor. He said it might cost $500, but he could sell us a new refrigerator and take off the amounts we had paid already??? I laughed and said "Not buying a refrigerator from you!" My husband decided to go back to the store to talk to him. He spoke with Mike's father, the business is family owned. After that visit, both Mike and his father came out to see exactly what was needed. They decided that we needed $350 worth of parts and they would do the repair so we wouldn't be charged labor. The parts had to be ordered so that took a few more days. Finally, they came and put in the parts. We had to pay another $350. It works after almost $600 and many days of scheduling appointments. They also tried to tell us that an electrical surge caused it. We feel that the first service person didn't diagnose the problem accurately, but they covered for him.We have never experienced anything like this before. My review is lengthy, but I hope it will help someone else know not to call this business!! read more

Do NOT do business with this company. First, their policy for scheduling service is archaic. They will put you in a PM or AM time slot depending on their routes that day and notify you of your slot at 4:30pm the day before. They SAY they try to accommodate your AM or PM requests but they were at my house twice and they never accommodated me. In addition, you have to sit around your house and wait for a 6 hour time slot for the technician to arrive. If you and your husband/wife/partner works this makes it impossible to plan around work schedules. The receptionist on the phone is RUDE and an absolute bull dog when it comes to bending or working with you. You get in the AM or PM slot and that's it. There's no changing. In addition, if you live in Asheville like I do the only days they service this area are Tuesday's and Thursday's. My dishwasher part came in on Tuesday but they were booked for the next Thursday so I had to wait until the following Tuesday. For a simple dishwasher repair (which I told them the problem before they even came out- it was the water intake valve) it took 2 weeks to get fixed!! Total racket and rip off that cost me over $300!!
