Purchased a 39K bike from them in Jan, and since that time there have been several issues (wiring,…read morelights, audio, switches, paint) that have cost me in excess of 4K (and still going). I reached out to them immediately and they took forever to get back to me (had to pint them repeatedly). It wasn't until I started asking for owner info that they seemed to care to get back to me. Then they offered me what I paid for the bike (I have it in written format) for trade of a different new bike they had - but it was not what I wanted. I requested a different bike (same price as the one they had offered) but would not honor the trade price - instead, they offered 25K. I have voiced my concerns to them, I have been patient, and have gotten little attention and no actionable response. I gave them an opportunity to do the right thing....they failed. Do not let friend PRE sales staff fool you. POST sale is awful....this would be at any of the stores (DBQ, Davenport, IC)

This is a really long overdue review but well deserved. Mid-summer last year I had an issue with…read moremy bike on a day trip I made with my club. It happened to be on a Sunday so I knew I was out of luck finding a dealership open but I decided to leave my bike at the Service Dept. and contact them on Monday. Our route would take us right by the dealership so my friends followed me and then peeled off to go back home. A few had stayed with me to make sure I got things squared away. Getting home would be dealt with later. When we arrived, sure enough the dealership was closed so I parked my bike at the Service Dept. but we noticed that the door was ajar. We called the police dept. to inform them and after they arrived and cleared the building to make sure it wasn't a break in the notified the "key holder". The the "key holder", who was I believe the sales manager, arrived he opened up the overhead door and we pushed my bike into the building after which I asked if the had any rentals. He replied "No, but he could probably help me out". He then asked what I'd like to ride to which I replied that it didn't really matter. He then pulled a new Street Glide from the showroom floor and tossed me the keys. This bike had less than 1,000 miles on it so it must have been a demo. They gave me, for the most part, a brand new bike to ride back to Chicago. And, I kept the bike for just over a month while they worked on repairing mine and was able to use it as if it was my own. And as far as the repair; it was a repair that was going to take 30 days at the very least to get all of the parts (the entire lower half of the motor had to be replaced) and I had a 10 day trip coming up in August. By late July it wasn't looking good and I started to think about alternatives for my trip. The lower engine cases still hadn't arrived and they weren't sure when they would. The the week before my trip they called and said they got the parts in and would have the bike ready for me in a few days. They had actually gone directly to the supplier, circumventing Harley's typical supply chain to get the remaining parts to make sure I would make my trip. I picked up my bike the following weekend just before I was to leave on my trip and it ran like a champ the entire ten days. The parts list totaled almost totaled $5k. More than I expected but I had a warranty and the service manager helped assure that the damage would pass the warranty inspection so my out of pocket was only $50.00. I can't say enough about how McGrath Harley-Davidson treated me. I later bought a brand new bike from them and that was another experience I'll save for another review.
