During installation, they installed a Span Panel, but tried to charge me extra to complete the 200-amp hookup--even though I had it in writing that the upgrade was part of the contract. I had to show them their own emails to avoid the extra cost. When they finally finished and the system was running, I discovered they overcharged me by $800 through the finance company. They promised a refund, but the check that arrived was $200 short. One of the main reasons I chose this company was for their unique tax incentives, but when tax time came around, they outsourced the paperwork to an outside company without giving any guidance on how to use it. I had to hire a tax consultant just to figure it out. Since the system has been running, it has never produced as much energy as promised. After I asked why, it took them two months to respond, saying "electrical noise" was to blame, but they offered no solution or fix. Then, a year after installation, a tornado damaged my roof. Before signing the contract, I specifically asked how much it would cost to take down and reinstall the panels for a roof replacement, and they quoted around $2,000. Now that I actually need the work done, they've nearly doubled that estimate, citing increased labor costs. Fortunately, insurance will cover most of it, but it took them weeks to respond, and the earliest they can start is over a month away. To be clear, everyone I've spoken to at the company has been very nice, but the business as a whole is disorganized and unprofessional. They've made multiple mistakes throughout the entire process--mistakes that would have cost me a lot of money if I hadn't been keeping a close eye on everything. In summary, everything I was promised by 93energy has fallen short. I'm sure they do well for some customers in perfect conditions, but my experience has been the opposite. It seems like their business model is to sell you the dream, but once the contract is signed, you're on your own.

Your warranty isn't worth the paper it's printed on. Whenever there is an issue with your system, you will get a notification that tells you there's an issue, but doesn't tell you what the issue is, that requires a technicians visits which is $180 I recently had a panel that is under performing, which, after a technicians visit deemed to be a manufacturers defect. So my kick ass warranty should cover this right? Wrong! The manufacturer will replace the panel, but I'll have to pay for shipping, which is approximately as much as a brand new panel would cost. Also, I have to pay for a technician to install the replacement panel. So when the sales person sells you peace of mind that the warranty will cover you - don't believe a word of it. I have long recommended solar panels to my friends. I have also long recommended not going near this chop shop enterprise. They are Temu version of what a solar company should be. Project management is a joke. See my earlier review for that debacle. Product support is an even bigger joke. I wish I could give zero stars.

After speaking with Adam Perri, Director of Windfree Solar, I was told, due to the workers were subcontractors, the destruction of my personal outdoor equipment and garage was not Windfree problem. All the woes, leaves me with the savings from the schematics of 77% savings, panned out to 18%. Monitoring for the solar panels based on the information I was given was a country outside the U.S., with no option to opt out of 3rd party advertisement. No thank you! Value=NONE!

I am a senior citizen who is suffering with congestive heart failure, high blood pressure atrial fibrillation as well as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and rheumatoid arthritis . It's hard for me to get around much less dealing with inadequate heat. I find their inactions incomprehensible and I can't imagine why they don't fix this. I paid $5,100 cash out of pocket thinking they'll do a great job. Quite the opposite. In fact, they did such a shoddy job of installing it that they left cracks and holes in my wall allowing outside air to flood into my home. I've reported them to the Better Business Bureau and the Illinois attorney general consumer fraud bureau. My advise is to stay as far away from them as possible.

Looking for another alternative, we contacted MMDS and sent them pictures of the current set-up. We approved MMDS quote on a Tuesday, got the permit approved on Wed, and they installed the system on Friday. The installer was very professional and even fixed an issue with the dryer vent while he was there. The final price was exactly as originally quoted with no add-ons. A company with this kind of service and response really deserves more than 5 stars. We highly recommend!

However, it turned out that really wasn't the source of the problem: when I was monkeying with the fuses in my old-fashioned fuse box after the incident, I removed one where the socket was defective. I couldn't put the fuse back in properly and thus the power loss. Carlos discovered the problem in my fuse box, crafted a solution to it, and reconnected my smoke detector. He was friendly, polite, and quick, but he took the time to explain to me what the problem was and made sure I understood how to replace the battery in my smoke detector and reattach it to the ceiling. To top it off the price was very reasonable. I will be calling Caval the next time I need an electrician.

I called Knight's electric to check out a tripping breaker in a rental home I own. Joe was prompt…read morein arriving and checking out the situation, with his analysis being that the electrical service needed to be upgraded, was not safe, and would cost $6,500 for the work on a 1,000 sf two bedroom home. FYI, most any other electrical contractor would perform similar work if it truly had been needed for less that half this price - simply insane! The issue turned out to be to to replace a breaker at a cost of under $200.00. Worst of all, Joe told the tenants that the home was dangerous and should not be lived in. With this experience I would suggest to anyone to find another more honest, competent contractor to perform your work.
