Great pie place! I came with my mother in law specifically for some pies for our family dinner. We were pleasantly surprised to see that they had several that were slightly discounted. Not because they were old but because they had too much of the fruit (they were still cooked fresh that day) We ordered the peach pie (regular price) and also got the Razzle Dazzle (discounted to $12). Over the next two days I had a slice of each and they were so good, not overly sweet. The second day I used some of the peach filling on the side of my razzle dazzle slice and that was delicious. When I'm back up to visit, we will be back to get some more. In addition to pies they have a room full of local products like nuts, wine, jams, etc. This could be a great place to find a unique gift item. I grabbed some salted hazelnuts to take back to Texas with me.

Red Velvet whoopie pie tempting the pup.

I have taken to stopping here first on my weekly shopping trips. I try to purchase the majority of my produce at Draper Farms, then supplement as needed at the standard grocery store. I live pretty rurally, so I generally don't make it into town for the Thursday farmer's market like I wish I could. Draper Farms is the perfect alternative that I can hit Saturday, Sunday, or any day of the week that is convenient. Offerings cycle with the seasons, but they are growing lots of great stuff here, and there is always an excellent variety of options. A few of my favorites are their strawberries, radishes, corn, leeks, collards, and herbs. No matter the time of year they will have some sort of lettuce, cabbage, spinach, or other greens. I recently grabbed some divine kiwi berries, finished in a single day, and have dreamed of them since. For autumn, they offer an array of pumpkin varieties for 30 cents a pound which is the least I've seen anywhere, and much prettier than what you can find at a grocery store. They also had fall décor, including stunning glass gem corn. There is even a separate fresh cut flower stand! They accept cash, check or Venmo (the latter is such an appreciated option, yay!). They have some bags available, though you should bring your own if you can. Prices are generally less than the grocery store, and for much higher quality produce! There is a good amount of parking. They also offer a CSA.

I wish we had a kitchen where we were staying at because I would have loved taking back some veggies and berries with me to make something special on our trip. Instead, I got a selection of preserves in the farm market bing cherry, farm market boysenberry, wild and rare huckleberry, old fashion mountain blackberry, and old fashion red raspberry. I also got two jars of pasta sauce in roasted garlic and the other was portobello mushroom. I got one jar of Carolina reaper salsa as well. I thought these items would be great to bring back home and enjoy. Cashier was very friendly. Everything came out to about sixty bucks which wasn't bad at all. I have already tried the salsa and it is nice and spicy. The huckleberry preserves are good. I spooned a little into a small bowl and topped it with Tillamook vanilla bean ice cream and some granola crumbles. There are so many possibilities with the what I got and I am looking forward to trying everything. I look forward to trying more items from Farmer John's when we are in the area again.

My husband and I both like to add additional fruit, which means the shakes end up being an outrageous $10+ each and yet...we get them a couple times a month in the summer. Besides the shakes they do have a lot to offer: some produce they've grown themselves as well as much that is from elsewhere, snacks, beverages, fresh cut flowers (peonies, zinnias, delphinium, etc, (and the flowers are surprisingly well priced), plants, and even gift-y or souvenir items, like candles, mugs, etc. Foodwise, they have strawberry short cakes and a rotating selection of baked goods like cakes and cookies, plus smoothies, sundaes, and fruit lemonades. They have bouncy houses and some fun activities available for little ones, plus U-pick on some items, so it could make a great little stop for a break or just to stretch your legs on the way home from the beach. Honestly, it's such a cute spot with fun things to do and a great variety of items, including some local. Much of what they sell is bordering exorbitantly priced, so just prepare yourself so you can enjoy it.
