I have been slighted by many a "professional" in the past so I was ready to meet Alan and run him through the gauntlet. In addition to being impatient, I am also not very trusting of people until I get to know them but I got a strong sense from our conversation that Alan is a trustworthy and upfront type of person. The quote came in a timely manner which I appreciated because, again, I am impatient. The price was reasonable and I didn't feel like I was getting screwed, which, unfortunately, happens often here in Sonoma County as most service providers think if you live here you can pay the "Wine Country Surcharge" - they tend to forget that before the wealth came here there were normal blue collar folk and some of them actually still live here....I'll leave it at that... I came up with the money and scheduled a date for the install. ARM is a busy group but I didn't feel like the wait time was excessive. The day of the install arrived (YAY! because it had been hot AF and we were all miserable AF.) On the day of the install Alan and two guys got to work and finished in just under 4 hours. With both, a unexperienced office person answered and both could not give me the estimate I was looking for. Both required a technician to physically check the unit at a cost. It seemed I had no choice but make an appointment with each. Frustrated on knowing I'm going to be paying someone for not fixing the furnace, I contacted Adams Heating to see what they had to offer. Right away, I got a response from the owner in directing me to his tech (Josh). After discussing my situation with him, I cancelled my previous two appointments and made one with Adams.
