This is my original review: Very disappointed with the waitstaff. Particularly the dirty mousey blond lady, let me mark that out, she was no lady, the older woman that never smiles and has no personality. Friday after our party of 7 that had appetizers, drinks and meals asked for small plates to eat a birthday cake she said it was against the health code for us to eat it in the building, Little does she know I have friends at the Health Department and this is a lie, SHE LIED TO OUR FACES. She could have said it was against the restaurant's policy to bring in food or it was busy and she needed to turn the table, but she didn't do this she decided to lie to us. So the waitstaff can thank her when we and others come in and don't tip because she believes she can lie to customers. That means she feels the waitstaff makes enough without tips. The only way that this will change is for her, the manager on duty and Matt Danford to post an apology on this website and let everyone know how she was disciplined. The food is the only reason we go, but the area is growing and more competition is on the way. I would hate for a place with good food to fail because of a lousy waitstaff. I hope to hear from you soon.
This is their feedback,,,Blue Mountain Pizza: I received your feedback via our website and have attempted to reach out to discuss this matter, Since you have posted here I will also respond here. As a restaurant, it is against many policies not to allow food brought in from outside to be served. It is recommended by the Health Department not to serve food we have not had control over, it is totally against our insurance since food could be consumed on our premise that we have not had control over and thus could be held liable for and finally, we are a restaurant that is in business to sell food. If we would have been notified you required a celebration cake we would have had one for you. I am sorry you had a bad experience on this visit but believe overall the bottom line message was correct.
This was my reaction: She did not say that the Health Department recommended it not be served, She said it was a Health Code violation. And you know that is an out an out lie. If you don't know I recommend you contact the Health Department on Monday. She did not say it was against the insurance or company policy. If she would have only said it was against company policy we would not be having this conversation. She decided to lie to the customer, without hesitation. If she is brazen enough to lie to a customer I would keep an eye on the cash register. There is no telling what else she would lie about. And if she is not the only one it makes you wonder if the Gluten-free is really Gluten-free.Do I need to count the toppings on my pizza to make sure I am not being shorted and double check the bill to make sure I am not overcharged and the waitstaff pocketing the difference. You know it can happen. Especially when you have an experienced waitress that is a known liar. read more
