Here's the revised version:…read more The owner contacted me and offered a free event, which I declined, requesting a refund instead. She then offered a 20% refund and asked me to change my review, which I again declined. She claimed that despite paying for full event planning services, the event was subpar because I hadn't been involved in planning it. They didn't call. They didn't ask me to go their warehouse. They didn't do anything until the week of the event, when they tried to fit me into their random available times to walk them through my space via FaceTime. To clarify, I paid $2,000 for someone to plan and orchestrate an event. What I received was maybe a $200-$300 setup, and it's apparently my fault for not planning the event I paid someone to plan. She argued that I should have requested changes during the setup. However, I wasn't home at the time. The whole point of hiring this service was to arrive at a fully set-up event with my guests. When I arrived, they were still setting up as my guests were arriving (even though they were supposed to have been gone by then). So, there wasn't time to make changes, and it would have been an awkward conversation anyway. Instead of blaming me, they should have done the job they were paid to do or not sold the package in the first place. To add insult to injury, she compared this situation to eating a pizza and then requesting a refund. This was over $2k. It's not even close to ordering a pizza and asking for a refund. She ripped me off. I stand by my request for a full refund. She should have offered that refund on her own. This event was pitiful. I will never use their services again or recommend them to anyone.

Hannah, Ashley and Sam were absolutely wonderful throughout the whole entire process. From planning to the actual big day. Hannah' and Ashley were very communicative and always stayed in touch throughout the entirety of planning, they coordinated with my day of planner and just seriously made everything so simple and always answered my phone calls and emails with any questions I had. Sam, my girl Sam!!! I met Sam the day of my wedding and I couldn't have asked for a better person to be there helping me and my family. Sam was amazing and she just fits into her role perfectly. She absolutely crushed it and my mom and I and my husband were blown away by her cheerfulness and execution. My husband never saw me she made sure of it and honestly she just made my day so special and easy. Sam and Ashley got us apps, told us when and where we needed to be and we're just so sweet and easy to be around! Both of them and Hannah are awesome. Great venue, awesome staff, great food and overall just the best day ever. I am very easy to please but seriously I don't think anything ever went wrong and I can't make that up. There are great views no matter where you look. The indoor area is spacious, and the outdoor area is really nice as well. The staff was on top of everything. I would definitely recommend checking this place out for an event space. The things I didn't love were the main dishes they had for catering -- they were a bit bland -- but the sides were really good. The bar was just okay. The beers were super cold and crisp, but the mixed cocktails were "ehh" at best. Our company provided us with two drink tickets, so anything after that you paid out of pocket, though the prices weren't bad. If I remember correctly, mixed drinks were $7. On the way out, parking did become a bit of a headache. It's one of those paid parking systems where the venue provides a ticket for free parking, but people trying to figure out how to use it ended up backing everyone up as we were leavng.

We sought out the Bar Bank as one of our first vendors because we'd tried their batched cocktails during COVID's freshman year and loved the flavors and creativity of their products. Working with Ka'nita leading up to wedding day was a dream. She is organized, capable and responsive. Day-of, I felt so confident that Ka'nita and her team were prepared to show our guests a wonderful time and they exceeded my expectations with the presentation, special touches and level of service. Guests raved about the celebratory energy the Bar Bank Team brought to our festivities. I'm so eager for our next celebration mainly because we want to hire the Bar Bank team again. I recommend them to everyone I know for any occasion big or small. Adaptable, versatile and truly exceptional in their field. 6 stars!

Kanita and her staff were professional, the vibe and ambiance she brought to our wedding was unmatched and we continuously found a crowd around the bar not only for the good drinks but for the enjoyable and social service they provided. Kanita was communicative from the beginning. Very linear about her process, what she needs to make the day go smooth for both us and her+staff, and just kind all around. She delivered everything we discussed-above and beyond and her drinks were so delicious. So, this is a pretty sweet find…read more The Jennings House is a locally owned breakfast and lunch spot located in the heart of Point Loma Village. Housed inside Point Loma's oldest home -- fascinating! -- it is such a cozy, warm, welcoming little historic place. Established in 2017, it was inspired by one of the co-owner's dream of creating a community-centered cafe like those on the East Coast. The team is so kind and attentive -- just wonderful folks who make you feel right at home and in good company. The restaurant features breakfast all day, with signature dishes such as homemade brioche French toast, breakfast scrambles, burritos, sandwiches, acai bowls and a daily selection of fresh-baked pastries including scones, rolls, cookies and more. They also offer salads and sandwiches, including a BLT, club and veggie wrap. They sometimes have soups and chili, tool. I was even treated to a 1/4 slice of cookie -- a thank you and a surprise sample on my first visit. The menus is large, and there are plenty of vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. They also serve a range of coffee, espresso, teas and alcoholic beverages, including mimosas. There is also wonderful and shaded outdoor seating in the front and back and it is quite spacious inside. And they have a lovely garden out back with all kinds of succulent plants, lavender and fruit. The space is great for groups of small or larger sizes, and the patio is dog friendly. And the music is kept pretty low and the ambiance is more chill than not, so it is also a great place to study or work -- though they do have a 90-minute limit when they are busy. And this is an interesting tidbit: Roseville 2nd Story is a flexible co-working space located on the renovated upper floor of the historic Jennings House. The space includes fixed-location desks with free house coffee, water and printer access -- plus a 15% discount on all food and beverages. You can reserve Friday through Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. (daily access for $20, weekly access for $75 and monthly access for $275, with a 10% discount available for bookings of three months or more, payable in advance). You will find a few parking spots in the back, and street parking out front. And be sure to carve out some time to check out the restaurant. The Jennings House, with support from the La Playa Trail Association, is also an exhibit full of historic photographs and some furniture highlighting the history of the city, the military community, the San Diego Yacht Club and the area's Portuguese heritage.

The coffee was great, pretty strong and not too pricey. The owner Cathy is super nice and her staff was great too. We tried the biscuit with sausage gravy and the side order was the perfect amount of food for one person if you aren't starving. It had great flavor and will be a go to comfort item. The chicken salad sandwhich was very filling and hit the spot. The grapes in it were a nice touch, but the bread was pretty rough, but I'd say that's fairly normal for a toasted sandwich. There are tables indoors and outdoors with the inside having outlets if you are coming to work. Great spot!

For the high price, I was expecting better food and service. When we arrived and checked-in, we got a couple of cocktails, so that was a good start. The staff was eager to take photos of my husband and I, so that was nice as well. When it was time to go to our designated dome, we had to check with the staff again, which was no big deal. I liked that each dome had different aesthetics inside. Ours was nicely decorated, with a winter theme. It was pretty chilly, so blankets and a heater were also provided inside the dome. To start, we were given some bread rolls, but if you want anymore, it was an extra cost. Drinks, including water, was also extra. The first course was a tiny white bean salad, which didn't arrive until almost an hour later. The main course arrive about another hour later. Our group chose all three options, which included a Baja pink grouper, boneless chicken breast, and a vegetarian dish. When you make your reservation, you don't know what you'll be eating, except that it will be either seafood, meat, or vegetarian. I wasn't expecting a chicken dish to be included in a 3-course meal that costed $150 per person (not including tax, tip, drinks, or service charge). Dessert was some kind of butter cake. The food wad mediocre at best and service was slow as a snail. The only good thing was the pretty domes we got to sit in, but I felt that it was not worth the hype. I hope that they gained more experience and do a better job next time, if they continue having pop-ups at other cities.

We went to the one in San Diego at Liberty Station. The organization is still evolving. On their website there is supposed to be a parking and event map. Three days after opening it is still expected to appear shortly. The night we went they had three servings. It came across a bit disorganized. Our server was fantastic. First course was a salad with garbanzo beans, not a big dish, but very tasty. The main course was meat or fish. I had the fish dish which was sea bass with a risotto. The meat dish was chicken with cauliflower, maybe not very impressive and many expected meat to be beef not chicken. Finally the dessert was semi-fredo with honeycomb. Very tasty We had a pinot and a cabinet sauvignon with the meal. The pinot was not much of an experience and the cabernet too heavy. Given that the meal is $500+ for four people, without the wine, we were disappointed with the quality of the food. Overall fantastic experience but the food was at best mediocre.
