They went above and beyond for us. LOH and their volunteer foster families honored my request to visit Praise every other weekend and even allowed me to bathe him at their facility because he's so sensitive about being groomed since he is very tiny and has very sensitive skin. Those small acts of kindness made an enormous difference for my and Praise's well-being. When I finally reached a place of stability, I was able to bring Praise home -- bright-eyed, bushy-tailed, full of joy, and with lots of toys and kibble -- and together we moved into our new home to continue our healing journey. I can't wait to give back to LOH and volunteer my time to support others who are facing the same struggles I went through. They've welcomed both me and Praise to volunteer. LOH and their volunteer foster families are truly a lifeline for anyone who has an emotional support animal or beloved pet and needs a safe place for them while they rebuild their life. We went to Scottsdale Pet Hotel (the available dogs are boarded there) and were asked to bring our existing dogs, which I liked. We spent quite a bit of time with Pumi (not his name anymore) and everyone who worked with us was really nice and very helpful throughout the process. We fell in love with our new family member instantly. We will be taking him to our personal vet, just to have him checked out, although he seems very healthy. We would definitely use this rescue again, and I have already told a couple people about them.

I searched and searched and searched on PetFinder and sent countless pictures of needy pets to my husband. Finally, I stumbled upon a picture of an adorable dog named Casanova. He stole my heart and I knew we were meant to be. The husband gave in. This dog was taken care of through the foster program at Mixed Up Mutts and Shepherds Too. I contacted his foster mom and we set up a meeting time. His foster mom was incredibly accommodating and went out of her way to find a home for this sweet dog. Long story short, we met and I adopted the dog that day. Now Rally (formerly Casanova) is a happy, energetic, well adjusted dog. I have a lot of gratitude for the organization that took him in time and time again after he was adopted out and then returned as if he were store merchandise. I know his foster mom took excellent care of him. I was so pleased with this organization and I found their adoption fees to be very minimal. Excellent customer service and consideration for animals goes a long way.

Beware! We adopted a wild beast named Willow from this organization...being told it was a shy cat…read more We fear the cat may have been drugged to be more adoptable as we have never seen any animal act as this one did, and we are in our mid-60s! The beast hid under a day bed for a week. It ate, drank & used the catbox, but we never saw it. Then there was a large pile of feces in our Dining Room which caused our decision to return it. My husband moved some boxes stored under the day bed to retrieve Willow while talking baby talk to her. She brutally attacked both of his hands causing deep puncture wounds and tremendous bleeding. We closed the door to the room so she couldn't go hide anywhere else. She literally flew thru the room!!! I mean LITERALLY FLEW THRU THE ROOM!!! She knocked pictures off the wall & broke stuff! She bit him so hard and so deep in BOTH hands that he was screaming! As he was profusely bleeding, he managed to grab her and get her into the bathtub....where she flew around inside (doors closed) smearing the glass doors!! My husband is a Musician & his hands are necessary for him to work and support us. We went to Urgent Care who made us go to the E.R. X-rays were taken showing no teeth bits or broken bones, but there was still a huge possibility of tendon damage & an infection. We were referred to a Hand Surgeon, but we had to wait over a weekend to see him & worry ourselves sick that a 50-year career was over as he was totally helpless & could do nothing for himself with either hand! We had to thoroughly wash his painful hands twice a day & change the bandages. He could not sleep due to the serious pain & lost 10 pounds in 3 days, not only from the pain, but from the sheer fear of losing his career! When we saw the Hand Surgeon on Monday, he said the next few days were critical & referred him to Hand Therapy which started Tuesday. My husband also had a very hard time with the serious antibiotics & pain meds causing him to suffer greatly. Thank God we have insurance as these people never so much as apologized nor called to check on my husband. They did retrieve the beast the following day. It had to be quarantined as we were required to file a Bite Report with Maricopa County Animal Control. We also filed a Complaint with PetCo, but have not heard back from them. We are out money even though we have insurance. No one from Save the Cats Arizona nor PetCo has stepped up to the plate & offered to help with our expenses nor anything for my husband's tremendous suffering & pain. Real quality organizations, eh? Like we said... BEWARE!!! This was our first time in a PetCo as we do all our shopping at PetSmart which we will continue to do. We will never set foot in a PetCo again. Once was too much! As of today, if Save the Cats Arizona decides not to put the beast down, you could unwittingly take it into your home! We would NEVER adopt from this organization again nor allow anyone we care about to do so either. These sure appear to be the worst nightmare to be handling adoptions of cats to unsuspecting hopefuls. If we could give negative stars, we surely would!!!!

We were shocked novody else was interested in this sweet boy and his foster eas very kind and informative to help us make sure he was a good fit for our home. They were also very patient with us running around to grab supplies. While the adoption fee is a bit higher than some rescues there is a tax break and it's nice that majority if the shots were paid and planned along with the neutering. Andy came home healthy with us and immediately took to his big sister who he loves so much. It was nice that he had spent time with his siblings so he was used to having another dog around and is just a great pup for our family! Can't imagine not having adopted him the day we met him.

It was a total hassle, horrible communication. And when we went to visit them before the adoption we were accosted by children at some sort of birthday party. The cats were STRESSED. WE WERE STRESSED. They scheduled our meeting with a birthday party for some young kids who were just flicking cat toys in our face and all the cats faces and running around so we couldn't interact like we would have hoped too. When we went to pick the boys up finally( 2 brothers who we were told wereNOT bonded but absolutely were.. thank goodness we took both)(..There was some sort of 'date' event going on and I had people swarming me constantly while I was trying to connect and CATCH the kitties we were taking home. It was a disaster. The price to adopt both was a Little outrageous as well considering you could tell they were fighting for food.... I appreciate what this woman is doing and please please adopt and don't shop, but be ready to spend some money and be frustrated trying to adopt.... Or even get a coffee from this cat 'CAFE'
