Blue Flame Propane is a horrible gas company! They desperately need a course in how to treat their customers with respect - especially the person, Quinn (horrible attitude at the service counter in Richmond). They treat their customers as if we are here to serve them instead of them serving the customer. Anyway, I was a customer of Blue Flame Propane for a very long time until they started jacking up the propane price on me. So, when I decided to go to another company (Heaven Forbid!), they nickel and dimed me to death on my way out! Not only did they charge me $90 plus tax to remove their old tank off my property, they also charged me the "new" price $99 plus tax on their precious used regulator that they installed on my house 3yrs ago! So, I called Blue Flame in Richmond and spoke to Julie, and she said she would accept an equivalent regulator from my new propane company. I said, "Ok, I'll do that". So, I asked for a new regulator from new propane company, and they said, "Sure!Its an industry standard thay we just swap a new regulator vs having to remove the existing regulator on the house. Which could cause a potential leak removing and installing each time." So, I received a brand new regulator from my new propane company to give to Blue Flame. I took the regulator to Quinn, at Blue Flame, and I even received a receipt that said, "Paid in Full and Account will be Closed", signed by Quinn. Which by the way, was like pulling teeth to have it signed! But after a courtesy follow up call by me to Julie (since I spoke to her first), I received information from Dan Bosman, Plant Manager at Blue Flame later insisting on me removing their precious regulator and if I don't I will be charged another bill for $99 plus tax! I asked Dan Bosman why?? He continued to insist on their regulator back. I said, "ok, since I drove out of my way to give you a brand new regulator, could you at least PLEASE mail it back to me??" Dan said he's not sure when he could even do that. So, even with a receipt saying, "Paid in Full and account will be closed", they continued to refuse to acklowledge their own receipt! I even made a call to Don Kent - Operations Manager at Blue Flame, and he still didn't help me! Needless to say, I paid their stupid bill to avoid anymore of their STUPID BULLSHIT, and I would never recommend this company to anyone! And I hope people see how they run this company.
