Our Pediatrician, Dr. McPhee is wonderful. She's very patient, knowledgeable and passionate about her work. She really makes us feel like she cares about the well being of our daughter, which is very important to me when finding a good medical provider. I will say they have partially redeemed themselves. While I'm still not a fan of the parking (the vast area next to Dicks), the quality of service in the office has improved. I still love my kid's doctor and will continue to see her. I just hope with the addition of the new building, that the parking and traffic continues to improve. read more

I love everything about this Blue Fish. My doctor, the facility and staff are all amazing. The location is easy to find. Plenty of parking in the front, side and rear. They are in the last building furthest from 99 on the 3rd floor. I love that they have a separate entrance for sick kids and hand sanitizer in the waiting room. Lord knows you don't want them mingling with newborns or healthy children. I'm not sure if that is standard practice everywhere but it is MUCH appreciated. A nurse at my Ob/Gyn recommended two doctors here when I was pregnant and after researching both I chose Dr. Farah McCorvey. She has excellent credentials and impeccable bedside manner. She is incredibly patient with all my questions as a first time Mom and always informative. My husband and I trust her and we like how she interacts with our baby boy. The nursing staff are also great, gentle, informative and helpful. The office staff are upbeat, check you in/out quickly and don't keep you waiting. They have NEVER been late on an appointment or running behind. You rarely see more than one other person waiting. We were given a notebook that answered most of our concerns as first time parents. It covers practically everything from baby acne to umbilical hernias. You can also call after hours and get in touch with a doctor on call but if you exhaust this complementary service I believe their is a $25 charge which I find reasonable. I feel like I hit the jackpot the first time looking for a great pediatrician. If you're searching for the right place for your little one this is it. read more

Love Dr. McCorvey at Blue Fish! She is so personable, incredible bedside manner, and clearly has a true passion for what she does. My kids actually love going to see her. The entire staff is amazing. They use an app to track your child's appointments, immunizations, test results, growth info, etc. I sent a message through the app after office hours asking for test results and they called ten minutes later to let me know they were still waiting on the results. Then they called a couple hours later to give me the results. I've never experienced any doctors office call you after hours to say test results came back normal. It was such a relief to get the results as soon as they were ready. I really appreciate their promptness. read more

I highly recommend Blue fish Pediatrics! The appointments are so quick, always on time and my son's doctor is so wonderful. Part of the parking lot is closed due to construction but they offer complementary valet parking. I've never had any problems with any of the staff. Yikes! What awful experiences the two times I came here. First time the MA was incredibly rude. First time patient, she gestures down the hall and mutters "room 12". The room numbers aren't marked so you can see them from down the hall, so I said "what" and she gets all agitated and gives me an exaggerated "rooom tweeeeelveee" to which I responded "ohhhhh kayyyyy. New patient sorry" Fine, one person, one bad day. I give them a second shot because I actually liked the doctor, even though she was clearly frazzled and running behind. Show up at 2:45 for a 3:00 appointment. The front desk checks me in and hands me a clipboard. When you're alone with your infant who loves to grab this is super inconvenient, but whatever. 3:00 passes, 3:15, 3:30. After watching people who came in long after me get called back before me I inquire. I get a panicked look from the front desk staff. She holds a clipboard in front of her face and then looks at the wall, where they obviously place appointment charts, and says oh you're next. She disappears into the back and 3 more patients get called back. At this point it's pretty clear they forgot about us and never put us in the que. My daughter is getting cranky and wiggling everywhere. We've been here an hour at this point and finally yet another patient gets called back ahead of me. When I'm telling you they called people back, for the my daughters same doctor, that walked in 15,20, 30 min AFTER my appointment time... and then tried to deny it. Saying every patient was for a different doctor when the MAs clearly announce the patients name and doctor they are seeing. Sheesh, just own up to your mistakes instead of making me out to be the bad guy. I threw a fit. They treated us like we were insignificant while my daughter is suffering. When I asked for an office manager, I was told he wasn't there. When I asked for his card I was told he didn't have one. Since when, literally ever. Idk, this place seems like they are wayyyyy too busy and are sacrificing patient care. I won't be back and you should probably find someone who will actually care for your kid, not treat you like a number. Just my thoughts. read more

Dr. McCormy has been my son's pediatrician from the moment he was born. She knows him very well and knows everything about him. He feels very comfortable with her and is always happy to see her. She takes her time to go over everything with us at every appointment and always makes sure that all our questions are answered. She is full of knowledge and wants to share it. Can't say enough good things about this place! We tried 2 other pediatricians offices with my oldest before this one, and have been at blue fish since my youngest was born 18 months ago. We see Dr. Mann and she is so amazing. We've also had to see a few of the other doctors at different times when she was unavailable, and have yet to have a poor experience with any of them. All super nice, professional, and thorough. The wait time are never long, even for a sick visit, and you can always get someone on the phone. We found Dr. McGhee when our other pediatricians office closed a few years back. Dr. McGhee found a chronic health issue in my 4 year old that we have always been told "is just who he is". She connected us with the correct specialists and we have been on the path to diagnosis. It has made all the difference in the quality of life for my kiddo! On a side note, the office staff (in the Katy office) is always friendly and receptive. The front office staff is warm and inviting when we arrive. The nursing staff has called me quickly on more than one occasion to answer questions. I can't say enough good things about Dr. McGhee and her staff! All was good until today. My daughter got nominated for a field trip and need a waiver from her pcp. I had them done by her orthopedics doctor who did an amazing job. But one of the form had to be done by pcp. As i arrived to pcp and requested to please do the form, they want to charge me $25, i said its ok as i need it fot that day. Well they refuse to do the form as i havent have a well check up for my daughter. Here it go her nomination. This is a kid that has gone true 29 surgeries and got nominated by someone to go to some amusement parks. Something like make a wish company. Well, thanks to this dr she is no longer able to go. Thank you so much for destroying my daughters vacations. So now i need a real pediatrition who actually cares about the pt and not how much money come to the office. read more

Where do I start! Dr McCorvey is AMAZING! She's a blessing to us. We found her after numerous awful experiences we had. She has since been our pediatrician for more than a year I believe! They will answer questions over the phone for me, the will schedule us in for emergency sick visits and are very understanding if we run late. We drive an hour and 10 just to see Dr McCorvey. I couldn't ask for a better doctor for my sweet little girl. The staff is always SO helpful and professional. The office is beautiful and always decorated! Highly recommend! Any time someone is looking for a pediatrician I recommend this office! They even have an on call option for midnight emergency that I've utilized a few times and it was extremely helpful! The Walmart of pediatric medicine. Just started seeing Dr. Mann. Unimpressed with their new patient process - you are asked to "apply" and then get "acceptance" email. Excuse me? How about we meet first and i interview you to see if we're aligned on your approach. Sure enough, after a few visits for two young kids, it became evident we werent aligned. Dr. Mann never instilled the confidence we needed to feel w a pediatrician. When a couple of topics came up that we wanted her to elaborate on, her only "defense" was the practice's policy. Well, how about you tell me your medical justification for your policy? Poor communication = poor confidence in you as provider. read more

Love love Dr. Ellen Mann. She is extremely sweet, kind, courteous and very professional also she really knows her stuff. I have enjoyed visiting with her and have her evaluate the health of my newborn. I am greatly disappointed that she works at Bluefish however where the unprofessional and incredibly rude front staff clearly have no idea what they are doing. I do not recommend this office only on behalf of the front staff being horrible employees. I am incredibly upset that they initially notified me that they'd accept my insurance only to let me know after three appointments that they don't actually accept my plan and that I'd need to pay a tremendous amount out of pocket to cover the cost and then find another pediatrician for my son. Never have I had to deal with such poor customer service and disrespectful employees as I have with this office. I would not recommend. read more

I recently switched to this pediatric facility after a horrible experience with a previous one that I shall not name. I had gone to the office to ask about switching and spoke with a receptionist named Mario. He was very friendly and gave me the information I needed and told me that it would take 2-3 business to verify everything. Exactly 2 days later he sent me an email letting me know that my kids were official patients and to just bring in the registration packets when I scheduled my first appointment. I called back that day because my daughter needed her two month shots and he said that Dr. McGhee would be able to see me the next week. Now at the previous location if I had scheduled the shots I would not be seeing the provider just a nurse unless I paid the copay. I asked if I had to pay the copay since I was seeing the dr. And he said no. So the day came and I took my daughter, and subsequently my son, to the office and sat on the Well waiting area(that's right they have a sick and well waiting areas!!). They called us back 5 minutes later and we went into a room where a nurse took my kiddos vitals, all the while being caring and attentive to my girl. She left and almost immediately Dr. McGhee came in. She was sweet and very thorough with a small exam and let me know which vaccines I could take now and which I could take later (I'm a bit wonky about giving my kids vaccines all at once). I had told her that my daughter had an ear infection and she said they looked fine now. I also asked her to check to see if my daughter had a heart murmur because the previous doctor had told me she did. She listened very carefully and said there were no irregularities and that she was very cautious about those sort of things. She left the room, the nurse came in and gave my daughter her shots, we left the room, set up the next time to take the rest of the shots and went about our day. What would usually take me an hour and a half of waiting with the previous doctor took 40 minutes in this one. Sufficed to say I am an extremely happy parent and am glad my children will be going to Dr McGhee as they grow up ^.^ read more

I can not day enough good things about Dr. Claire McGhee at Blue Fish Katy. She is a Pediatrician that is hard to come by. I switched my oldest over to her about a year ago from a very well known clinic in Katy and have been extremely happy. I recently had a baby a couple of weeks ago & Dr. McGhee has been nothing short of a angel. She has kept me so calm and informed during this time of uncertainty during COVID-19. She has kept me up to date and has given me the best information to take care of my children during this pandemic. She treats her patients as if they are her own and I love that. Dr. McGhee is very thorough with her exams, she never rushes during appointments, explains everything in great detail, and gets back to you promptly when you call with questions about your child's care.
