Tired of the chain restaurants, we're looking for a small family restaurant that served barbecue and stumbled on Blue Fire Grill. Having lived in Texas I'm quite particular about what is considered Texas barbecue. What a lovely surprise. The brisket was fork, cutting tender, and the ribs falling off the bone. The sides and bbq sauce were also homemade. I would suggest if you're looking for authenticity. This is a great restaurant to try. Decided to try this place for the first time and possibly the last. I can't fault them for the quality/temperature because we had it delivered, but I am pretty disappointed. The BBQ sauce was way too much. It overpowered everything and the beans were so overly sticky and clumped together. The meal we ordered was supposed to come with a salad which we didn't receive, but the best part of the meal was the mac & cheese which arrived lukewarm. The cornbread was awful. Who puts blueberries in cornbread and no mention of that online when you add it to the meal. Not to mention a waste of $6 for 4 tiny cornbread muffins. Literally 1 bite each. If we ever go in person and have a better experience, I will post an update, but based on this order I would not recommend. read more

We came here for the first time this evening. I ordered the roasted chicken with cole slaw & barbecue baked beans. I also got a house salad with ranch that came with it. I ordered an an iced tea, and yes it was good. Some places have gross iced tea - but this place did not disappoint. Hubby got the brisket with cole slaw and french fries also some pulled pork. Everything was delicious and fresh. The chicken had really good flavor and fell off the bone, it was SO tender, also the brisket was tasty and the pork. We shared our plates and wondered how we hadn't tried this spot sooner. The cole slaw was good and fresh and the baked beans, man I miss those. I haven't had those in years, they were really good. My hubby is so picky about his meat and he rarely likes to try new places because it's so frustrating. Spending money and hating the food is always a bummer. So we're reluctant to try new places lately. I found a hidden gem and I will come back. We LOVED our food!! This place is a little family owned spot with a lot of delicious food, I highly suggest coming to check it out! I wish I could provide a positive review in any category. 1)The food is horrible. We had roasted chicken ,brisket, mashed potatoes, Cesar salad. It was all so low quality, terrible tasting and texture. 2) the place is filthy, grease, dust everywhere. I think there was a dog in the back behind curtains. Bathroom sink supported by a stick. 3) the woman owner seems to not care and is in over her head . Again, I love supporting small businesses. Decided to try this place after seeing some tiktok's about this being a great bbq spot. This place reminds me of one of those restaurants you see on Kitchen Nightmares. Do yourself the favor and drive a couple more minutes down the street to the Lucilles. Coke was just dark water. Tri tip was just meat with bbq sauce squirted on top from the bottle. I really like to support small businesses, especially when it comes to to restaurants as usually those places work hard and have the better food. That being said, we had ordered from here a few years back after moving into the area and thought the food was decent. I gotta say, I gotta a weird vibe the first time I walked into this place, and I gotta the same vibe this last time as well. For the prices, I might have expected a bit more (got the 3 meat platter.) TBH, the food is ok, the brisket wasn't as tender as I'd expect, but the teeny-tiny ribs were pretty good. As for their sides, the coleslaw was tasty, but it such a small portion that my wife and I only had a spoonful each. I'm going try to keep it simple. Not very welcoming, the waitress was rushing us to order our food when we were not ready. I ordered the burger dinner. Comes with two meat patties with cheese and lettuce. That's it, no dressings, onions, pickles, etc,... macaroni and cheese was way undercooked. Fries was the only good thing that came out. However, the waitress was very on top of giving our check. I say give it a try and see for yourself. But I don't recommend it. read more

Although this place had okay food the prices you are paying for it is beyond insane. $18 for four Stuffed Mushrooms? $6 for four Cornbread mini muffins because they were literally mini muffins like I used to eat in school out of that little pack, and it had like blueberries in it, which is really bizarre when it's supposed to be cornbread. Our favorite is the brisket. It's always perfectly cooked and delicious. Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes tastes fancy in a good way. Blood orange vinaigrette is unique and yummy. I honestly don't understand where the negative reviews come from because the food is tasty, the service is friendly, and we always enjoy ourselves the multiple times we have gone to this restaurant. We will definitely be returning. Before our first time visiting last year, I called for information. Melinda told us that there would be a private party so there may be a longer than usual wait. We appreciated her candor and went the following day. That's not a sign of being rude or not wanting business. She wanted to make sure we enjoyed our experience and would not be waiting hungry with hangry kids. The restaurant is not fancy. That's not why we go. Don't expect silver platters or white glove service. That's unreasonable. It's delicious and a traditional mom and pop style small business. We love it and encourage everyone to give it a chance. I never leave a bad review but for this place I'll make the exception. After hesitantly placing my order I noticed that the glasses at the bar were greasy and very dirty. This was after I moved from a booth to the bar after feeling uncomfortable on the dirty/dingy booth. The food was terrible. I can't imagine where the good reviews about the food came from. My guess is change in ownership. Service was terrible. I felt as if I was a nuisance to the lady. We ate at the Bluefire Grill a couple of weeks ago. We had crab balls and lots of ribs, actually took an extra serving home. It was worth it. Closed for a private party tonight 11/2. What a waste of time. Seriously every time we come to this place for dinner, its either closed or service sucks and is slow. The food is damn amazing when we actually get the chance to eat here. The most solid experience I have had is during the buffet because (obviously) you serve yourself. Myself and 3-5 of my co workers have been going here for years. We did the lunch buffet often on Fridays. The food was always about a 7/10, not bad and good for the price. However, the staff is incredibly rude. The older woman and young waitress (possibly mother and daughter) always made us feel like we were ruining their day, when all we wanted was to spend our money and buy their food and enjoy our meal. ONe time we went there, and the older woman publicly berated me because of my work boots. she said "Every time you guys come in here I have to sweep and its a mess". To which i didn't respond. How do you expect to attract and keep customers with that type of attitude. Stay away from this place. I hope they lose it and go bunkrupt. read more
