Had to have tractor- trailer pulled out of a field! Not sinking, just too wet to get traction. They were able to pull me back onto the road by running a cable out to my front row hitch. Cost the company $1,900! The driver returned my two, towing hitch shackle pins and one shackle pin cotter pin. I asked about the other cotter pin and was told he'd dropped it in the field. He then stated I didn't need it anyway. If there's a next time, I'll call someone else. Hague towing, like someone had mentioned prior to my company calling Blue Eagle. I called for a quote and the representative was professional and knowledgeable. Our request was not urgent and said no rush. She arranged for our vehicle to be picked up and said it would be 90 minutes to two hours. The driver called on his way over which was just about 90 minutes as she said. He was polite and took his time to make sure he did not damage my vehicle. He said he is slower than most but I appreciate him doing it correctly. I called Blue eagle towing to have my car towed 2.5 miles and was quoted $55. I set up the appointment, driver showed up we talked about getting it out of the drive and he hooked a cable and block to it and loaded it up. No big deal. Soon as I go inside, the driver tells a female friend there is a $10 additional charge. He leaves. Few hours later I look at the receipt and wonder what the $10 is. She explains they told her about it after I went inside. So, I call blue eagle towing. Explain it to them and the person that answers the phone tells me that it's because they put my car on skates. No. No they did not. So let's pause and follow the bouncing ball- the girl gets told it's for labor. I get told it's for skates when I call. And the receipt doesn't mark ANYTHING. See pic below. I end up on the phone with the manager. He tells me that I would have been told about the charge when I called. I said I wasn't and asked if the phones were recorded. They are and I asked to listen to the phone call together. Never happened. I got a call back saying they'd refund the $10. Because they missed 3 opportunities to explain the charge. No they didn't. They knew exactly what they are doing. They told her, didn't mark what it was for and hoped I wouldn't catch it. Like maybe taxes or something. Ive included the driver and truck number. Bottom line- all the horror stories you've heard about with predatory practices among businesses is alive and well at Blue Eagle Towing. read more

What a raquet this company has going. They towed a CHILDRENS RADIO station vehicle, because the owner of a hotel (whose lot was entirely empty, called them to come take it away. BTW, the truck had the phone number all over it, so the hotel or the towing company could have called to say, Hey, if you don't move your truck it's going to be towed". The towing company's (Blue Eagle Towing) on hold message says, "Family owned, with integrity".... ZERO integrity. It cost $974 in CASH, to get my truck back, plus i missed entertaining hundreds of school children because of being towed. Oh yeah, and the owner of the hotel has a sign in his window at CHECK IN... saying, "if your vehicle is towed, here's the number to call"... I'm guessing this isn't his first rodeo. I'm not saying that there is anything fishy going on, but... owner is known for this, according to all 3 other hotels in the area, owner has a sign with towing companies number at CHECK IN, towing company only takes cash, and phone number was incredibly visible on the truck.... you do the math. One of my neighbors needed a vehicle towed so Blue Eagle came out. This company had trouble getting to the vehicle so drove through my yard several times leaving very large ruts everywhere. Whrn I called I was told to send pics and someone would get back to me. I even filed a police report for the property damage. Blue Eagle NEVER responded to my email & no one returned a call not made any effort to do any repairs. A common theme has been people obstructing our driveway by parking in it or blocking it on the street. I'm 9 months pregnant and work day shift and my husband works 2nd shift at the base, so we are always coming and going. Getting in and out of our driveway is a necessity. My husband came home at midnight to find a car parked right in the middle of our two car driveway, efficiently blocking him from pulling in the garage or me from getting out. We called one tow company and waited an hour with absolutely no response. By 1 am, my husband was tired from just getting off his shift (and I was tired since I have to be up at 5 am for mine). We tried blue eagle towing and I'm so glad we did. They were here within FIFTEEN MINUTES. Incredible. They were quick, reliable, and honestly they will be getting ALL my business from now on. This company is a joke. My car was towed last night while I was picking up a friend from his apartment. I arrived at 7:20ish and walked out at 7:40ish and my car was gone. They have to be loitering in the parking lot waiting for you to walk away, no warning. The tow truck had to be on a side street, because if I had seen the truck I would of asked if it was ok to park. Whatever signage they do have, is inadequate, because I didn't see any. The Randall lofts are also to blame as there is no signage in the lot spaces nor is the lot secured with a gate or anything. My guess is that they have an agreement to share the profits. There were plenty of open spaces for residents to park, there were maybe 10 cars there at the time. The man on the phone said a lady called to have it towed because I was in her spot. If this is true, there would not have been enough time for them to get the phone call, drive from Pontiac St, hook up my car and drive away. In reality, there is no assigned parking at this complex or "a lady" that called. "If you didn't park in that one specific spot, you wouldn't have been towed". One of the many lies I was told. The man on the phone then went on to tell me that they tow from that lot from 9p-3a because of the patrons at local bars taking their parking spaces. I was towed at 7:35ish. I'm sure the drivers are getting some type of commission based on how may cars they can tow a night. The dispatch told me the cost was $125 and then I got a FB message saying it was $145 but if I took down my review they would give me $20 off. If this isn't blackmail, I'm not sure what is. There was a man that had been towed as well at the same time. He was from Angola. I asked the tow driver if he was parked in this so called person's spot as well and he said "well, um, no?" No kidding genius, just more lies and scheming. The conversation was very threatening, if I didn't take down my review I would not be able to get my car until the first of the work week, and there would be a $20 up charge. I will now be calling the BBB, writing a letter to the editor, writing a review on Google and Yelp. read more
