Other services provided much higher quotes, estimates, or made recommendations to do unnecessary work like changing the solar panels and connections which would have to $10k more or charge double what Superior quoted for the same work. Many either gave a very wide "estimate" sight unseen based only on photos from the termite inspector who found the leak, or charged a fee just to come out for an on-site estimate. Rance provided a reasonable quote for the repair, clearly explained the possible risks involved so we could make an informed decision, and communicated professionally throughout the entire process via FaceTime and video/photos for the finished work. What also really stands out is that this company is very customer-focused. No question too big or to small to answer, always paying attention to cleanliness, taking the time when necessary to understand what has to be done (and impressive that almost everyone else would just "try" instead of reading and looking for the solution!), and doing it all with a smile and easy going attitude. I will be hiring Ohana Ocho Services again in the near future for other projects as I am confident I will receive great workmanship as well as great value for the work being done. He didnt have a valve so needed to go to city mill to get one which they had in stock. The total repair came out to $4100, of which and i'll break it down cost wise. He changed my toilet and knew where the leak was emerging from which was great. The cons, they are a bit pricey--and I had gotten a few quotes from other plumbers but they did a 28$ fee to come see the issue and then gave a verbal estimate about the repair cost. They came the same day I called and was extremely responsive. The cost to change a toilet, remove my toilet. Fix the leak and assess the damage was 1375. Which is a pretty penny. Other competitors, ive got estimates of 500-700 for just toilet installation (not to fix the leak) and 175 an hour on top of additional fees with slower response time. So I guess it varies between response time, quality and a gamble. I did tell him that I had a budget and if he could work out the cost with me. So that was nice. Would I call them again? Maybe for the customer service.

I declined because my experience with the previous company wasn't the best and they were already there. Martin offered a $100 discount because he felt bad that we were having to get a new water heater so soon. I will definitely reach out to Air-O-Smith again with any future water heater needs and have already referred one of my neighbors.
