There had not been any weather or wind to cause this - it just happened. And it had not been that way when we he left for work in the morning. I took a photo and entered a request into Yelp asking for estimates for the roof repair. Timeless Exteriors was one of the first to respond. They were able to come to the house pretty quickly and assess the problem. It was not something that could be immediately fixed, so they promised to send an estimate the following day. As promised, we received the quote and scheduled the work. Timeless Exteriors communicated well, showed up as promised and finished the work in a timely fashion. We were charged as quoted. They did a nice job in the fix and we would hire them again. But hopefully that won't be necessary any time soon. Highly recommend.

We sought an estimate from this company and the experience was disappointing. We found them…read moreon-line because they were advertising a screened in porch special - 20ft X 12ft porch for $38,000. "Mike" came out to take measurements for an estimate of a porch plus a deck. His estimate for a 20ft X 14ft porch was $58,000; his estimate for a (roughly) 22ft X 16ft deck was $39,848. I called to ask why the porch, which was only 2 feet bigger than the special that was advertised was $20,000 more and if we could do something different to decrease the cost such as change the porch size or the materials. He told me no. And that right now, because there's so much work, they can pretty do what they want and what they want to do is increase their profits on porches which are harder to do than decks. I asked him if they would honor the "special" they had been advertising when we called them to come do the estimate. He said that their "website should be updated already." But that doesn't change the fact that they were advertising $38,000 for a 20ft X 12ft porch when we called- and there was no deadline for that price. Anyway, seems shady. They reeled us in with the advertised $38,000 porch price but then gave us an estimate where the porch was way more but the deck, which is, according to Mike, easier and more profitable, is $39,000. What a coincidence! Would not trust them. Glad we walked away.

But is the company reputable? And do you really want to go with a relatively new company even if is owned by your buddy. He decided, no. Newman is competitive with hundreds of 5 star reviews. He went with Newman. Subsequently we had a hail storm and neighbors were advising us to get our roof checked out. Our roof was 20 years old. I wanted to be honest with the insurance company and not submit a claim unless Tyler from Newman, who came out to give us an estimate, was sure we needed a new roof and we suffered damage beyond normal wear and tear. Plus we had 2 houses. Well one needed a new roof and the other one likely has another couple of years left. As an aside, if you turn in a claim to your insurance company, even if it is denied, you risk higher premiums or cancelation. That is why it is important to have Newman Roofing spend time assessing. In our case, our roof was more wear and tear with minimal hail. Dan and his guys were on time, even early. Weather has consistently been in the mid 90's. I was worried. But Newman keeps them well supplied with hydration. 14 man crew meant lots of vehicles, even a dump truck but they were minimally disruptive to our neighbors. Furniture moved, netting put up to minimize construction mess on house and garden areas. And then they went to work. All I can say is WOW. I am so pleased. When they were finished, the cleaned up all the mess, including using a magnetized thing for nails in driveway, patio and grass. The yard, the patio, the driveway, the porches are SPOTLESS. I highly highly highly recommend Newman Roofing. They did my kid's. They did this roof and in 2 years they will do our other roof. Price is good too.
