First time visiting Blue Cat and I'm definite that I will be back for more camping trips. We came with a big group of friends and had a ball. We stayed on the left side site with the TPs. You can rent one TP or both. Our group rented both TPs and we were able to have a whole side of people we know. With the TPs you also get charcoal pits, a fire pit, and the a wonderful view of the river. There is a little canoe/kayak boat landing that everyone on the site shares. Waters shoes are advised due to sharp rocks. You can rent tube at the Blue Cat store at the top of the entrance of the campground, or you can bring your own. You can tube/canoe/kayak, etc all the way down the river to the pick up, then a van or trailer will pick you up and take you back to Blue Cat. The campsite has a very small facility. A men's and a women's. One bathroom stall, one shower stall and one sink in each men and women's. Blue Cat is independently owned. They are super nice people. I believe they are selling the location, I hope new owners are just as wonderful. read more

THIS IS FOR THE DRAPER LOCATION. WE COULD NOT FIND THAT LOCATION ON YELP! We scheduled our 11am shuttle the day before we were supposed to go tubing on our 20th anniversary. We waited until 11:40 and then called because we had not been picked up. The owner thought we had already been picked up, he PROMISED to pick us up in 20 minutes. At 12:40, we called again. We STILL had not been picked up. He said that he couldn't get us until 1:30 at the earliest. He NEVER called to tell us he was running late. We had to cancel our tube ride b/c we had dinner reservations for our 20th anniversary and we would not have time for the ride. He wasn't very apologetic and didn't offer us anything for our MAJOR disappointment. NOT the way to run a business. read more

June 2015 I went with a group to Blue Cat on the New for a pre-arranged bike ride. We were driven in a van to the starting point of the bike ride where the driver unloaded the bikes from a trailer. The bikes did not appear to be in good repair with two of the bicycle seats bent into a vertical position. We asked the driver for help with the vertical seats as well as seat height adjustments. He tried to make the adjustments with his hands, but the seats would not budge to be adjusted for height or to put the vertical seats into a ride-able position. The driver said he should have brought some tools with him. He then approached some bikers (with their own bikes and equipment) in an attempt to borrow tools. He was unsuccessful. Luckily, one rider in our group had brought her own bike and had some tools. I was able to lower my seat enough so that it was ride-able by putting my weight on it, but it was definitely not comfortable because it was still in a tilted position. I briefly tested my bike out and discovered that the back tire rubbed on every revolution. Upon closer inspection, one side of the rear brake was in contact with the rim when the brakes were not engaged. The driver attempted to adjust the brakes with the borrowed tools but was unable to remedy the problem. No solution was offered by the driver - he said he had done what he could. So, I was left to ride a bike with a seat tilted upward with loose brakes and one brake rubbing the rear rim for the entire ride. The whole outfitter experience was unpleasant - I would never go back to Blue Cat on the New and would not recommend anyone use this outfitter. The equipment was not ready upon our arrival at Blue Cat on the New even though our ride was pre-arranged. The equipment was not in good condition and in my opinion was unsafe. The driver admitted that we were the first bike riders of the season and the bikes had just been pulled out of the barn that day (obviously not having been maintained properly or serviced recently - the driver pumped air into the tires after loading them on the trailer as we waited). Even the van we were transported in was uncomfortable as it was not air conditioned and the empty beer cans in the back of the van were the finishing touch.. read more
