I made reservation 4 days before and when I went in there were only three cars available, two within my price range and one with extra pay. There were many cars but Aaron said they are already reserved. I wonder then what was the point of me making reservation few days before. But whatever, I decided to pay extra to get the car I prefer. He wasn't clear upfront with the additional cost from the very beginning, (the difference was only about a dollar per day, so I was like whatever). But when someone else pulled up with the car, I just literally sat there for another 10-15 minutes because nobody told me anything whether the car is ready or not, and no inspection and nothing. Aaron never came back and I asked the assistant manager Kevin and he helped me get the car and leave the site. However on the way home, I realized that the gas was 5/8 full when Aaron told me bring it full (he told me its 7/8 full, which I was thinking 7/8 is not full but I thought I will check later when we do the walk through, but this never happened with him.) But when you telephone the number on the webpage, they give you an address in Gardena at 1244 132nd St. I rented a Prius on June 6, 2022 from them for a period of one month. I pre paid $200 deposit and $900 for the rental ($850 for the car plus $50 for the extra driver). The car BROKE DOWN less than 48 hours later, stranding my 20 year old driver, who was an authorized driver on the rental. I tried contacting the company NUMEROUS times by telephone and text, marking it URGENT. NO REPLY for more than 21 hours! My daughter was 50 miles from home in Calabasas, stranded. I received no apology, no offer of a working replacement vehicle. I was told by text that I would receive a full refund on the day following the breakdown, when the owner sent his father to my house to pick up the key to the Prius. He signed a paper stating he picked up the key. He arrived to pick up the key at 12:30pm on June 9 and had a trailer attached to his Camry, which I assumed was to go pick up the car at the gas station where my daughter obtained permission to leave the car in Calabasas. I received no refund that day as promised. I received a text the following day stating I would have my refund by noon. I did not. I still have not received any refund and the company will not answer my calls or texts. BEWARE this company. They have one name online (West Side Rent A Car). Another company name on the contract (Nonstop, LLC). And a third company name that actually gets your money when you pay by credit card (Eco Buds, LLC). This makes it very difficult for a consumer to reach them through legal action. A review of the Secretary of State filings show a company called West Side Rent a Car. There are no companies listed called Nonstop, LLC. There are companies with Nonstop in a longer name. The company rents POORLY maintained old cars. The Prius was a 2011 with 179,931 miles on it. The driver's seat was torn. The car smelled like weed. I had a very hard time finding a car rental company that would allow under age drivers that had cars available and I needed a second car for my daughter to get to her summer internship. I thought that after reading the good reviews, this would be ok. She didn't need a brand new car, just one to get her from A to B and back. I am now having to dispute the charges with the credit card company. I expect that with all my evidence in texts my dispute will be approved, but this has been a VERY STRESSFUL and unpleasant experience. Don't risk it.

So it was kind of weird not knowing it was remote, but kind of cool because we were able to fly out and go. Initially we filled out paperwork via DocuSign and only had to scan our ID's over. So this was a plus because we didn't have to wait in any long lines!!! Upon landing they gave us access to the vehicle and the option from two shuttles, we end up taking the Budget shuttle, and when we got off it was about a minute walk to the car. Now this is when everything became amazing. We were expecting a clean car but the Tesla we got was immaculate inside and out. It felt brand new but had 30k+ miles on it. It also came with full-self drive so playing with it before we left was fun. It was able to self-park and came to us when we used the summon button! You got to try it, we scared my mom later in the day jejeje. It drove well, and we were able to go to San Diego and back without any issues. We did have to charge up twice but it was only $27!!!! Talk about bang for your buck!!! Their team was also very responsive when we had question's about charging and how returning the car works. So that was a plus! They also allowed us to change our drop-off location towards the end. Originally we were suppose to return the car to the Glendale location. However, they let us drop the car where we picked up at. As well as use the same shuttle to return to LAX. I think the only place they could have done better was the parking. Upon return all the spaces were filled so we had to wait a few minutes until someone left to drop the vehicle off. Also they were sold out of strollers/car seats for the little ones. Outside of that we had fun in their vehicle!! Overall really happy we found them, and we will definitely be using them for future rentals!! They were professional, and the process was smooth.
