I wish I could give this bunch of degenerates and thieves less than nothing, but yelp won't let me. Today was my breaking point with Blue Cab Company. It has the worst service you will ever get from a cab company. The WORST! I accidentally left my cell phone in the cab this morning. After searching for it, I of course came up empty, so I called Blue Cab right away and spoke with the Telephone Operator, she directed me to the Supervisor on duty, a man, who promised me that my phone would be either returned to my house or returned to my work place and never ONCE did he mention a charge. I of course graciously thanked him for his service and advised him that I can be reached at a certain # when my phone is ready for pick up. At this point, I ended the conversation believing that this is what would be done. If I had known that Blue Cab is STILL filled with a bunch of ingrates and lowlives who know nothing about the word SERVICE 3 yrs later then I would've never "trusted Blue Cab with all of my local and long distance needs" as their slogan indicates. I come back home at 7:00 PM only to find that my phone hasn't been been dropped off! I was incredibly angry of course because it had been promised to me hours ago! I call the company and the rudest operator comes on the line telling me to hold like I don't pay her company to keep her employed. I hold and she advises me again that the phone was left because perhaps the driver couldn't get to my property all day. But that I can come pick it up when I can and if I can't come pick it up today, that I can pick it up whenever I want to, the phone will still be there. What a completely irresponsible answer and that too, I don't know how some people can expect to take home a pay check and when part of their job description probably indicates being courteous and respectful are the COMPLETE OPPOSITE of that. That's just a highly incompetent, and LAZY ASS person we've got right there who wants a pay check but doesn't put any amount of work into it. This aside, I call back wanting to speak to the supervisor after agreeing to pay $5.15 for a cab to come drop off my phone. The woman NEVER ANSWERS! I called over 10 times with two different phones and the woman never, not even once answers the phone. She is the SUPERVISOR. Probably takes home a SUPERVISOR's Paycheck and she has the gall and nerve not to do her job? I can't believe this even happened from the likes of Blue Cab. Well, maybe I can. The precious time I accidentally left my phone in the cab, I tried to reach the driver at least 50 times in 1 week trying to get my phone back , but the driver kept it for 4 weeks!!!! I thought I didn't lose my phone in the cab but somewhere at work or something, only to get the same driver one day and he tells me: you know, you left your phone here. Four damn weeks later, one $900 phone later. Yeah, thanks a lot you incompetent brute. A cab driver stopped in the middle of the road in the middle of 290 W with an oncoming truck on the way. He was from some foreign, and didn't know the difference between left and right. I kept telling him to get back on the road by making a right before we both DIED, but he was just stationary. His issue: he was waiting to merge lanes!!!!! Another cab driver threatened me and another cab driver that if I didn't get in his cab that he would kill me and that he knew where I lived. He caught the other driver's neck and tried to choke him while the other driver tried to fight him off and was driving away, but that guy opened the car door and tried to literally kill him! Another cab driver made the most disgusting comment I have ever heard from any one of them after failing to realize that he's directionless and he possibly couldn't tell me which way to go to a work place that I go to every single day of my life. He said: and the reason why you must be so bitchy today is because your boyfriend didn't get you anything for Valentine's day. Ha! The nerve of these ridiculous people! Another cab driver gave me a lecture on life after I declined to pay the fare in gas because I was getting late for work, which is the primary reason I take a cab. He told me that I should help people in life and that I shouldn't live my life that way, etc. When the fare is 20 bucks but I gave him 40 because I actually felt bad that I couldn't get his gas for him. My father used to be a cab driver. So, every day of my life that I take a cab, I remember how hard it used to be for him to get even a single ride sometimes, how rude customers were, how they treated people like less than dirt. I understood all of that, so I tried to always be nice and give the drivers extra incase they don't get to make much that day. But I am absolutely appalled with the service I received today. I will be writing a formal complaint to Blue Cab asking for a full reimbursement of today's fare and $5.15 cent pick up fee, to the City of Chicago Consumer Complaint Department, as well. Use another place! read more
