Fahkre is an EXCELLENT Blue Cab driver. He is prompt, reliable, personable and compassionate. My husband and I call for Fahkre's services often. We are in our eighties and he gets out of his cab and helps us down or up the steps. When we go to the grocery store he parks nearby and drives up and puts the grocery bags in the car. If I could leave zero stars, I would. They were supposed to pick up my disabled brother at the library by 6:50 pm and drive him to the shelter in Oak Park. I left special written instructions on the app. I even called the company and the dispatcher said he would handle it personally. THEY NEVER SHOWED UP! Beware, what is quoted is not what is charged. I called for a quote from Frank Lloyd Wright home in Oak Park, quoted $22. I scheduled the pick up for 4:00pm. Driver was on time in an unmarked car, I confirmed with the driver the $22 quote. When we arrived at my hotel in Chicago, he said the ride was $43 according to the meter. There was no meter, only a tablet with the ride total. I felt ripped off by Blue Cab and the driver. The driver should have been upfront that there's a meter running and that what was quoted doesn't represent the final fare. Use Uber or Lyft, at the least you'll know the cost upfront. read more

Terrible communication practices. They either arrive half hour early or half hour late. One driver said he got lost, he hung up on me, after he called and said in my driveway. Called dispatcher and got hung up on. I think they only do medical rides. Asked my insurance company to only use Lyft in the future, never an issue with them. Cars are old and smelly. Worst car service. We used the app to order a cab for pickup later in the day. I received a confirmation email and I thought I was all set to go. Pickup time came and went and the cab did not arrive. We called Blue Cab and were told the driver was on the way and to wait a little longer. Still no cab. We called again and this time was passed on to dispatch. The woman that answer was very rude and informed us that there was only one driver available and he was 30 miles away. WTH! Horrible. The cab wasn't marked with the Blue Cab logo. The cab number was not visible, nor was his license. I prefer taking a taxi, because they have to be licensed to drive a taxi. The rear passenger door wasn't closing properly. There was a dish with scraps of food and a fork in a plastic bag on the floor in the behind the driver's seat. I requested a cab that would take my credit card. The driver said he didn't have the capability to take a credit card and told me to download the app, which is a rubbish app. I paid that liar cash. From Forest Park to Midway airport, he called some woman, gave her a hard time for standing him up at the Cheesecake Factory, then asked her how to get his money from the cash app, and then made another date with her at the Cheesecake Factory. She'll stand him up, again, because she's too good for him and she knows that better than anyone. He sent an email to his barber to make an appointment to get his hair cut. Fiddled around with his three mobile devices the entire ride. I complained to Blue Cab and the dispatcher at Blue Cab told me that they have a protocol that the driver is supposed to follow if he can't or won't take a credit card. She did not mince words when she said that it's the game drivers play to get a fare to pay cash. Avoid Blue Cab in Forest Park. That one star is actually no stars. Zero stars for this trashy service. If you need to get to Midway from Forest Park, the 307 to Archer and then transfer to 62H, (I think that's the number) to Midway. It's faster, cleaner and it's only $2.50. read more

This review is more about the company rather than the app as my scheduled can never showed up. A cab was scheduled 48 hours in advance for a 4am pickup to take us to ORD, with a quoted price of about $32. We called the company the night before to confirm the scheduled time and was told the pickup would be at 3:50am. We left the time as they had changed it to, not as we had scheduled it. Come 3:50a there was no cab waiting. We have the driver five minutes then called the company. The dispatcher confirmed the pickup location and time and routing with an extra stop in LaGrange before ORD. We said that wasn't what we requested. It was direct to ORD. The dispatcher apologized and said the scheduled driver had to cancel, that she would find another driver, then call back with an ETA. The dispatcher called back about five minutes later saying she had no cabs available and suggested we call another company. As we stand here waiting for the Lyft we've not requested, a Blue Cab rolled by slowly, then took off. If you need a reliable ride, this is not the company for you. read more

I ordered a cab for a 5am pickup to get to Midwayfor a flight the day before I needed it. Waiting outside at 4:55, no cab. 5:05, no cab. Call, and the dispatchers check my info and say no cab has responded. What? What does that mean I ask? She says give it a few more minutes. I say that I ordered a cab for 5am and now it's 10 after! I'm going to miss my flight if I give it a few more minutes and no one shows up. She says she doesn't know if a cab will arrive. I hang up and order an Uber and it takes 10 minutes. So now it's 5:20 before I'm on my way. No cab ever showed. I'm cutting it pretty close now for my flight. Bottom line, don't trust blue cab, and avoid them unless you need added stress in your life. Would prefer to support a local cab company rather then Uber - but if they don't show up when they say they will, how can I? read more

We have used Blue Cab for a number of years for airport transportation. In recent years they have become extremely unreliable. Most recently I scheduled an early morning appointment the night before a business trip and after calling them when the driver had not arrived on time I was told he was 20 minutes away. I ordered cab service at least 8.5 hours ahead because of the snowstorm. When I called 15 mins ahead of pick up time, they still didn't assign a cab. I can understand because of the weather but they could have communicated earlier that there will be a delay. The management and dispatchers need to do a better job communicating if there are delays!!!! Otherwise, cab drivers are really good. I feel bad for the drivers because they are loosing to. I feel as though I should leave some Yelp love for this mostly-hated cab company. Recently, I was a dumbass and forgot my wallet at home.....which meant I couldn't buy lunch.....or gas up my car, which I would've needed to get home. Fortunately, Blue Cab was there to save my bacon (as it were). I called and spoke to a very polite and articulate woman who took down my name and destination, saying that a cab would be there within 5-15 minutes. It was there in 7. The cab driver was pretty chill and looked like a war veteran (I later found out that he was in fact a vet). We chatted over the course of my quick roundtripper to my apartment, and he decided to take me on "the scenic route" back to the starting point. If I were a chick at nighttime, I would've politely declined his offer to take the long way back, but, being a dude in the daytime (and not relishing the thought of going back to the office), I heartily obliged. He drove past some pretty spiffy houses and a wicked cool tree that I hadn't seen before. So while I appreciated his candor (we casually dropped a LOT of F-bombs in our dialogue), he definitely went the wrong way down a 1-way street, prompting a pissed-off soccer mom to shout and flail her arms wildly in the air. Her making a scene in the middle of the street (in front of what I assume were her kids) was a hilarious highlight on an otherwise mundane Monday. Thanks, Blue Cab! read more

Two hours and four follow-up calls later, I was told there were no Blue Cabs available for customers in Melrose Park! What ABOMINABLE service! I will never use this outfit again!!!!! Update: took another cab with Paul and the driver Paul almost got us into an accident. He looked to the left while speeding forward while not looking forward and didn't see someone merge in front of us. I was terrified as he slammed the brakes and swerved to the left about how we almost got into an accident and he started screaming at me "no we didn't." He jeopardized my safety with no apology. These hot heads act like kings of the road with dilapidated cars with no working a/c. I have to take this company for medical rides sadly, and I'm realizing it's NOT worth it. BOTH drivers were hot headed and aggressive, almost got us into car accidents, didn't pay attention, were mean to me and lead me to be uncomfortable, and don't have working A C which made me ill in 80 plus heat. Both said "oh it will be fixed this weekend" I think they say that to all the riders. Second complaint and the Blue Cab company does not care one bit. --- First/earlier ride: Driver called ahead and I gave him instructions on when Id arrive and he agreed to wait... yet when he showed up he was all confused and asking people on the street questions instead of just waiting for me to come out like we agreed. He had picked me up in a car that had no working AC, was absolutely filthy, and was falling apart. Reeked of smoke. Tape everywhere holding it together and sounded like the wheels would fall off. I have videos of this car I can't believe it's legal to drive it. Driver was on the phone and distracted and we almost got into an accident. On 10/09/22 around 10:30am I was verbally berated by a white female taxi car driver. Taxi 177 - license plate 37979 TX. This event occurred near parking lot by 28th Place and East Avenue, in Berwyn IL. The verbal interchange occurred at a parking lot for Janura Park. I was walking my dog, after the dog defecated, I proceeded to a trash can to obtain a previous disposed bag. On the way to the thrash can, the white female tax driver verbally screamed at me for not picking up the dog poop (I ran out of poop bags and I was walking to thrash can to obtain bag). She then proceeded to give me the middle finger, while in her taxi. The displayed behavior of the taxi driver is at least, very unprofessional and a poor representation for the Blub Cab Company. The Blue Cab mission to be community focused company exceeding customer expectations by delivering a high quality - unfortunately the aforementioned cab driver does not uphold the company mission. This cab company should be shutdown for pure incompetence. I ordered a cab over a week ago for a doctors appointment which was over an hour distance from my home. The cab was scheduled to arrive at 2:15 pm and my doctors appointment was at 3:30 pm, well I looked up at it was 245 and still no cab. After noticing how late it had become I called and from the beginning of the conversation I could tell it was business as usual with the no show cabs.
