We decided to have a quick lunch on a colder day, and decided to stop here, greeted to a warm and friendly atmosphere. This has the best combination of chips, and Salsa, chips thin and crisp, salsa very flavorful with spice. The steak fajitas perfectly cooked, and the tacos were bigger than I've seen but the quality reminded, and the shells held together wow. The side of guacamole with chunks of avocado was special. The seasoning on everything was on point. And they serve a great virgin pina colada's

Wanted to try a new Mexican place, and stumbled upon Blue Apache. Good food, chimichanga is worth mentioning.

    Tres leches cake
    Merrissa F.

So, I'm 27 weeks pregnant and I have been craving tres leches cake for about two, if not three weeks now. That's when I first tried this place out. Last night my craving was strong, but because it was almost 10pm, I didn't want my husband and I to venture out too far. So I suggested we go to Agave Mexican Grill & Cantina for my late night craving, since they also had this cake on their menu. Let me tell you, that was the worst decision ever. The tres leches cake I received from them was literally soupy. There was no form to it. It was just shoved in a small, round tupperware. It had costed us almost $9, a complete rip off. Today my craving was back for this yummy dessert. My husband suggested that this time, we go back to where we know it's made right. So I call in my order, and I ask for a good size piece if possible. As I walk in, there were two young kids, a boy and a girl. They automatically knew I was there for the cake without me saying anything, lol. And it was cheaper than the place we had gone to last night! A little background on myself, I was born and raised in San Diego, California, and tres leches cake was my go to snack when I had a sweet tooth. I haven't been "home" in almost three years, and finally eating this cake from this establishment brought back memories. Seriously, this is the place to go. Not only do they have amazing food, the staff is so friendly and accommodating. Thank you to anyone and everyone who works here, especially whoever packaged up my tres leches cake. You made my entire week. Mommy and baby are definitely happy! My husband and I will be coming back shortly, whether it's for another late night run for some cake, or for a sit down meal (btw, the fish tacos are amazing). I've learned my lesson that convenience is definitely not the answer from now on, lol. Y'all are the best!

This place is Mediocre at best. Much better Mexican restaurants less than a mile away.

Great chips and salsa, probably best in Lafayette, the place is a little small but the owner is great and the fajitas are tasty !

Or that they argued with the amazing manager for nearly an hour total after being told they couldn't accommodate that size party. They're also leaving out the part where people from their group marched in and seated themselves, stood over occupied tables waiting for guests to leave, insisting the hosts clean the tables, and made the entire restaurant uncomfortable. This had nothing to do with race and everything to do with behavior. Any group acting like that would've gotten the exact same response. In short, do better. Y'all came in and ruined everyone's dinner because y'all don't know how to plan ahead. Stop blaming people for your mistakes and take accountability.

This may have been part of the reason its wasn't all that busy on a Tuesday lunch. Similar to some other restaurants in Louisiana I've visited, they have a side with a bar, to-go area and high tops, and a more family oriented side of the restaurant with a bunch of low top tables. Fried pork rinds are served with every table. They have daily plate lunches and the one day I came it was chicken fried steak. However, it's not usually a good idea to order CFS outside of Texas in my experience. Therefore, I ended up ordering the catfish and shrimp platter, served grilled instead and added a $5 strawberry margarita. The entree comes with a side salad but they only have seelct dressings and none which I would typically order, so i just settled on honey mustard. Margarita- for only $5 it's not bad and comes with either sugar or salt rim Catfish and shrimp platter - seasoned with a blackened seasoning but it wasn't spicy. The catfish filet was small and tasted like it was previously frozen. The shrimp were also small and didn't taste much better. Not sure I'd return if ever in Lafayette, as I was really looking for a more festive environment and more grilled options.

The food is always fresh and flavorful, definitely a win. The restaurant is consistently clean, and we're usually seated quickly (which already earns bonus points in my book). Portion sizes are just right, we leave full but still manage to have a few bites left for a late-night snack. The beer selection is always rotating, so it's fun to switch things up and try a new brew now and then. My only suggestion? Ice those glasses! Draft beer is great, but an ice-cold one? That's next-level. Service is solid, and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. And if you're going, get the tacos and fried green beans They never miss.

The patty looked like a frozen patty and I prefer a homemade burger! The pork panini was ok. My husband prefers them with bbq sauce but that's just personal preference. First of all, there are a whole bunch of free parking and it was easy to find this restaurant. The atmosphere was low keyed and subtle, not loud and rambunctious. We were seated immediately, even if we were early for our reservation and our very friendly and helpful server, Jaslyn, was awesome! She suggested to start off with a delicious strawberry margarita and it was a home run! Perfectly blended garnished with both a lemon and a lime slice. We ordered the Prejean's seafood platter, which hit all the marks. Catfish filet, oysters, crawfish, alligator, shrimp, hush puppies and fries. Everything was lightly battered and not the least oily. We also had to try the chicken, andouille sausage gumbo and the crab cake vermilion which were so delicious! But, the highlight was our extraordinary server, Jaslyn! When I came into the store earlier, I could clearly hear employees in the back arguing with one another. The situation was loud enough to be heard from the shopping area, and I found it to be very unprofessional and quite disturbing while I was trying to shop. As a customer, I expect a certain level of professionalism and respect, especially from a local grocery store that prides itself on serving the community. Hearing employees raise their voices and argue openly gives a negative impression and makes the environment uncomfortable for shoppers. Because of this experience, I have decided to take my business elsewhere. I recently shopped at Rouses and found the staff there to be noticeably more professional, courteous, and friendly. The cashiers were polite, and the overall atmosphere was welcoming and pleasant -- exactly what customers hope to find in their local grocery store. I am thoroughly disappointed with the experience I had at Nunu's in Youngsville, and based on this incident, I am unlikely to return. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses the behavior of the staff to ensure other customers don't encounter the same issue.
