Blue is a small restaurant on the far end of the resort with a relatively broad selection of meals and decent service. Staff are kind but slower to refill beverages and take orders. Especially if it's busy. We went for both lunch and dinner on two separate days. Truthfully, their menu items were hit and miss for our group of 4. Some of us loved our meals, some felt less than satisfied. Overall, I would say they rank somewhere in the middle of the road among restaurant options. read more

**GET THE CARAMEL BREAD DESSERT** Mussels appetizer w/ sauce was pretty good, just a little messy to eat. Short rib was great. They put it in this weird ball shape though? But the flavor was there for sure - nice and meaty. The caramel bread + vanilla ice cream is legitimately one of the best things I've eaten in my life. The lighting in my pic doesn't do it justice. The center of the bread was a little fudgy, the ice cream was rich, and putting the two together is heaven on earth. Get it. Waiter was polite. Blu is by far the best restaurant at Fiesta Americana. We came here multiple times for lunch and dinner. The resort itself is beyond mediocre, so this restaurant definitely makes up for it. The filet for dinner is just perfection. Sometimes, they overcook it by just a little so I recommend going one lower than you usually do. I like medium so I should've asked for medium rare. The shrimp mac and cheese is fantastic. We came here for lunch, and we had the Blu Ceviche (bomb), the Caesar Salad, the Sandwich BATEL, and the Blu Burger. The Blu burger was great, it had lamb, tzaiki, and feta (honestly genius). The Sandwich BATEL was my fave, it is a BLT with 2 eggs. I loved all of it. The restaurant vibe is romantic and upscale. Overall we had a good experience. We ordered 4 appetizer and 2 main and 1 dessert - green salad not on menu I just asked for it and it was very good - crab cake. Served cold. Pretty good - mussels and clams good if you like coconut milks. Just so so for me - tongue taco. Amazing. Get this Main - braised short ribs moist but too salty I don't recommend - catch of the day. One of my favorite restaurants at this resort. It is separated from the other restaurants so need a cart to get here. Definitely a low key spot but with great ambiance. The service was excellent and the staff was very friendly. The food was delicious and the mango margaritas were fresh. Had a couple of margaritas since they made it perfectly well. They recommended the stuffed mushroom which was really tasty and the blu burger was juicy and tender. read more

What an incredible experience. Blu is a beautiful dining experience, with service indoors for lunch and dinner as well as poolside service. I cannot say enough great things about their poolside server, David. He workers alone every day, but was never caught without a smile on his face. He has a great memory, remembering everyone's names and drink orders. He was respectful, fun, and delivered wonderful service. We continued to come back to see David every day! The food and drinks both at the restaurant and the pool were delicious as well, from the ahi tuna, the steak, the burgers, shrimp cocktail, etc! 10/10! read more

My family and i were here for my cousins wedding at Grand Fiesta Americana. We've tried all the restaurants except for Blu. When we first decided to go, i already did not have a good experience. My cup was not clean, so i just brushed it off. Ordered a salad but there was a crumbled receipt on it. All the other food such as crab cakes, steak, mac & cheese, octopus, etc was amazing. There was little hiccups but do-able. I was trying to still enjoy my night regardless of the trash on my salad and my cup being dirty. Overall it was a great time so my family and i decided to go back for our last night all together. One GREAT AND AMAZING thing about Grand Fiesta Americana is they make sure to know what allergies you have. My allergy is being allergic to alcohol, as an asian i have the red flush, but mine comes with my throat swelling up where i can't breathe and will cough. Throughout my entire trip, i have been drinking virgin cocktails with NO issues... until this time. I found clam shells in my mac and cheese... the macaroni was so undercooked... and here comes the finale. I finished my mango pineapple smoothie. And towards the end, i started feeling differently. There was alcohol in my drink. I know my body and how i am whenever i encounter alcohol in my drink. My face was red and i was coughing feeling slight swell in my throat. I complained to the server, but they were so adamant that alcohol was not included... If there was no alcohol in my drink, i wouldn't of had such reaction to it. The manager spoke with me and was apologetic. Then later on when we left, a worker from family service came to talk to me. I explained everything to him. But he made it seem like it was my fault instead of investigating the bartender. Food cooked with alcohol or with wine reduction, it wouldn't of given me a red flush, or affected my throat in a bad way. He was not listening whatsoever, and was so insistent the bartender didn't mess up. I felt like no one was believing me.. he didn't even apologize for what happened except for the manager that spoke with me earlier. She was sweet. BUT, OBVIOUSLY IT COULDN'T OF BEEN ME. I didn't touch anything else. It's ridiculous. ONLY drinking the alcohol could cause my red flush. NO way good would do that. I was very upset and angry at the situation. I ended up throwing up everything, felt MUCH better, and was left with a lingering red flush. Blu restaurant was an overall disappointment! With anyone going to eat at Blu. Please be very careful and check the food you eat. p.s. even my cousin found freaking hair in her food. because she didn't want to complain, she just let it slide! she made that mistake because whoever is working in the kitchen or the bartender needs some serious retraining. i don't know what on earth was going on. read more

I finished my graduate degree in December 2019, and my girlfriends surprised me with a trip to Cabo. This restaurant is more appropriate for a celebratory meal as the ambiance is intimate and not as casual as other restaurants on the property. This restaurant is located on the Grand Fiesta Americana resort. It's not as easy to get to by foot if you're staying on the west wing of the property as we were so there is a golf cart driver that transports guests to the front of the restaurant. Once you arrive, you're seated and handed menus and iced water. We had the "all inclusive" bracelet so essentially ordered more than we should have. As featured in the photos attached to this review, the dishes are elegantly plated so there is special attention to presentation. Everything we tried was fantastic -- so much so that we didn't even have leftovers to pack! Service from our server warranted a very generous tip. If you are on the all-inclusive deal, please tip all of your service workers as their income is heavily weighted on gratuity from tourists. read more

[Out-of-Towner Review] We wish we found this sooner! If I had to rate it compared to its counterparts on the property, I'd definitely give it a five-star rating. But, I'm going to stick with my regular rating. I just wanted that to be clear. If you are staying in the vacation rentals/villas, then the location is perfect for you. For the rest of us, staying at the main resort, you have to catch a golf cart over. Which was BETTER than any ride at an amusement park. Speeding through the property and taking turns like a Nascar driver was super fun hand had us laughing, while almost falling out of the cart. Once you get to the facility, they tell you to walk down a random hallway and turn left to take an elevator down to the second floor. Once the floor opens, you are greeted with a check-in desk. You do the normal all-inclusive check-in with your room number. There are not a lot of seats in this restaurant. The large farm style table seemed to have outdoor patio chairs as their chairs. I'm not sure if this is normal or just because they had a huge party. The floor is cutely and appropriately a variety of blue tiles. Overall this food is some of the best at the resort. We wish we tried this sooner because we would have gone back multiple times. The service was great, as all the restaurants were. This time our server spoke English well, which wasn't always the case during our stay. There wasn't one thing I ordered that I didn't like. It isn't amazing, gourmet food, but it isn't bad. Not sure how you or I feel about that comparison, but when you've been eating all inclusive food, you take what you can get. I ordered the tomato and bread salad (don't remember the name and had them leave the ham off), the spinach and artichoke dip (that comes with fresh baked bread and its delicious), crab cakes which are too small (and I really disliked the mole sauce), the filet with ash dust, and of course I had to try the truffle shrimp mac-n-cheese. Everything I ordered was tasty. There wasn't anything I was upset with. Again, this isn't soo amazing I'd pay $60 for this meal, but in comparison to what is on-site, this place is tasty. I would suggest you try this or the Italian restaurant first and toggle between the two for dinners. But hey, it's up to you... I was anything but blu(e) when I eat here! read more

I cannot say enough good things about Blu, or the Grand Fiesta Ameriana. Elizabeth met us outside with kindness and even let me believe my attempts to speak Spanish weren't completely terrible. Our waiter, Carlos, was also wonderful - attentive, helpful, and friendly. We loved it here so much, we ate here twice during our stay. During our first stay - I ordered the Filet and Crab Cakes and my boyfriend got the short ribs and macaroni and cheese. The filet was mouthwatering and perfect, as were the crab cakes and given how quickly my boyfriend ate his meal, I'd say he was incredibly happy with his food as well. At the end, they even brought up a Caramel Bread dessert in celebration of my birthday and sweetly sang to us. On our second visit - which we saved for our very last meal before leaving, I ordered Filet again (I couldn't help myself) and we also got the INCREDIBLE Artichoke Bread appetizer, along with the tuna tataki appetizer. I'm convinced its impossible to order something that doesn't taste wonderful. My boyfriend got the Filet this time as well as another helping of macaroni. After our delicious dinner, Elizabeth and Carlos pulled strings to help us get a Brownie dessert that they normally only offer for lunch. The Chef, Moises, is top notch and I can't say enough nice things about the food or the staff. Huge shout out to the Manager, Oscar Garcia as well. Ordered steak medium rare. Got a rare steak that was still bloody. I asked him to cook it more. He came back with a steak less cooked and cold to the touch. I asked the server if a medium rare steak was supposed to be icy in the middle since I wasn't too sure Mexico has different definition of medium rare. The server didn't want to comment was resistant with bringing the steak back to cook it more. Started getting weird looks and whispers from the staff after that. Definitely didn't feel like a 5 star resort environment. The Italian and Mexican restaurant on the resort are much better. No need to take a cart to Blu. Food isn't worth it. read more

Okay, so I love this restaurant, and it's at an All Inclusive resort (Fiesta Americana Grand Los Cabos). If this restaurant were at home here in Oakland, I would go all the time. I know, because I went 3 times out of 6 nights at the resort! It was work to find it! It is in the time share section above the resort - it is not easy to find! Walking in, I was unsure - nothing fancy, with a very unassuming space. But it's a pretty, small space. But wow, the food! Wow. First of all, the Tuna Tataki appetizer is just amazing. Had it all three times. Why not, it's amazing. It's a pan fried tuna filet with two sauces and a lovely side of greens. The first and third time I had the "Catch of the Day" which was the Sole. I was just great. Light, not over seasoned or overdone, just perfect. With some risotto and tomatoes. On the 2nd night I had the filet mignon - similar comments here - light, not over seasoned, just perfect. Now, after you finish dinner, you must have the amazing fruit tart. It is simply awesome! Pair it with a Torre 10 year brandy and it tops of an amazing meal. Kudos to Oscar (manager), Andrea (hostess), Abraham (waiter), and Vanessa (chef) for making it memorable. read more

This might be the best option for dinner at Grand Fiesta of the all inclusive restaurants (I didn't get to bodega). I had the beef filet and had to send it back because it was pretty undercooked but the service was good and the steak was good. My wife had the short rib which I thought was much better than the beef filet. Also had the crab cakes, ravioli, and salmon for appetizers - all pretty good. This is one of the restaurants on the premises of the Fiesta Americana resort. It is more out of the way than the other restaurants, but you can request transport in a golf cart. The menu is a bit smaller because it is a speciality restaurant. They didn't have any vegan options on the menu so I asked the waiter who then asked the chef. The chef came up with special vegan cactus tacos. They were absolutely delicious. The restaurant is smaller than the others but we were the only ones in there.
