AMAZING! Honestly, I could spend hours here and it still wouldn't be enough. I went in on a Friday night after work and there was only a handful of ppl in the store. LOVED THIS FOR ME. When I shop for anything, I just want to look around without feeling like someone is watching me, wondering why I'm taking so long, and/or asking if I need help over and over again. I love that this was not the case here. I ran into a few workers through out the store with whom I exchanged a smile and head nod but other than that, was left alone while I perused this enormous store. I stopped in originally to look at the art work and was not disappointed at all. There were so many beautiful items to look through. Everything was nicely arranged and the store was super clean. Hometown has an amazing selection of quality decor, gift items, and baby/kids, clothes and gifts. The thing that I particularly love is their selection of local items. We had nothing on our windows so on her first visit she gave us suggestions on window coverings (and colors) that were complementary throughout the house and laid out where to hang art for each room. She also guided us on replacing furniture pieces that were out of scale for our rooms, which made a huge difference in how the space felt. One thing we really appreciated was how she worked with us: she sent Pinterest boards with curated suggestions for rugs, furniture, and accessories, which let us shop and pick out what we loved within her design direction. Whenever I found something on my own, I could send it to her and she'd let me know if it fit the style we were going for. That collaborative approach made the whole process feel personal rather than having someone just dictate a design to us. She was also hands-on when we needed it, helping with installs like placing a rug underneath the primary king sized bed. We couldn't figure out how to hang pictures in the foyer and she sent a drawing to help us with it. And through it all, she was incredibly responsive, always answering my questions quickly and thoroughly. We couldn't be happier with how our home turned out and would highly recommend Brandy and The Missing Piece to anyone looking for a decorator who's knowledgeable, talented, communicative, and genuinely easy to work with.
