I was very happy to use a local florist to send routine birthday flowers to a loved one nearby. Prices were standard, the arrangement was gorgeous, and the purchasing process online was easy enough. Starla was lovely on the phone, confirming my order the day before the delivery date. The only complaint or perhaps ordering tip I have is that my delivery didn't reach the recipient (who lives about a 15-minute drive away) until what seemed like late afternoon, which to me is not ideal and should be disclosed at the time of payment. I would have the set the delivery date for the day before if I knew how late in the day delivery would be. For a birthday, you want the special person to feel celebrated all day, and I would have preferred that. Besides that, I love this shop, and I will definitely be ordering again--just scheduling delivery one day early from now on! Thank you very much. read more

Darla was absolutely lovely and helpful. The massive bouquet for my husband's memorial was gorgeous!! The ONLY reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars (& I wish I could have made it a half star) was that all the white gladiolus were not in bloom & didn't even start opening until 3 days after the event. Terrible customer service! The website did not state that certain areas are delivered on certain days when choosing a delivery date. Was told the requested delivery date could not be fulfilled the same day it was supposed to be delivered! When I asked for a discount on the $25 delivery and credit card fee I was told no and the vendor got mad with all the questions I was asking as to why this policy isn't stated in the website. Darla told me "we have not charged your card yet so you can find another company that can deliver in your time frame". After expressing my frustration she basically said I'm canceling your order. Advice to the company....put a disclaimer on your website to prevent people from wasting their time! read more

I have nothing but amazing things to say about Darla and the flowers she put together for our wedding day. She made my dream come to life and did it at an amazing price. My husband and I got married December of 2020, which was in the middle of Covid. We had to change our ceremony from indoor to outdoor 2 weeks before our wedding day so that we could accommodate more people attending. Of course, as a bride I was worried about coordinating this with all of the vendors and making sure this wouldn't be an issue. When I sat down with Darla to talk about the change and what we could do instead with it being outside she helped me put together a plan based on what my vision was. Our wedding was close to Christmas and our family loves Christmas. We wanted to have Christmas trees incorporated in the wedding ceremony somehow and Darla was able to add it to the altar without making it too overwhelming. We were able to rent everything through her so that we didn't have to buy everything on our own. It made it much easier for when it came time to clean up after the wedding. Fast forward to the day of and Darla put together a beautiful wedding. My original wedding coordinator had covid and so we had the venue owner take her place and she didn't have any clue how to run a wedding or assist vendors on setting up. From what I was told from my mom and my sister, Darla stepped in and coordinated the vendors and told people where to go. They had nothing but great things to say about her. I ordered two flower arrangements for Valentine's Day and got completely different arrangements than what I picked. I know that they said substitutions sometimes have to be made, but it looks like every flower was substituted. Neither of them look like ANYTHING I ordered. I would be more understanding if I ordered a day or two before, but I ordered TWO WEEKS before the delivery date. Also, on one of the notes (not pictured) they wrote the message wrong and spelled my name wrong. I would've emailed them all of this and ask for a partial refund but they don't have a customer service email. I am unable to call since I have an international phone number while studying abroad and also can't come in to talk to them, which is why I resorted to Yelp hoping they see this. So, if you are ever looking for a florist in the Fort Worth area, I highly would recommend NOT using Blossoms on the Bricks! This has already been a hard and very sad birthday for me. From being up all night with a sick pup, to everything going on in my personal life, I have found little to no reason to want to celebrate my birthday. In fact I have done everything possible to try and forget today is my birthday... My mom, being amazing as is is, has kept one tradition alive ever since I was a little girl. Every single year, there have been green carnations of some sort in my birthday flowers every year. She always said it was a thing of luck with us and actually carnations (which some people call funeral flowers) had a very special meaning between her mom, herself, and me. She'll search high and low to make sure it happens every year and has NEVER strayed from the tradition, no matter how much of a pain it might be. This year, she found this Blossoms on the Bricks place by my new job and directly called them explaining exactly what she wanted. They said sure, no problem...and what I received today was nothing what she said she described to them. When I sent her the picture of the flowers and said "What! You broke tradition!" Her response was "what is that? That's nothing what I asked for". So, she called upset and the owner of the shop said "Well we don't do carnations, so that's what you got. But, we'll be happy to refund your money and come take that and the mini Bundt cake with it back". And to add more to that, claimed they told my mom that they didn't offer carnations at all. Well knowing my mother she never would have placed to order had they told her that. Sure enough, the owner proceeded to call me afterwards and say "hey your mom didn't like the arrangements we made, so we're refunding her money and coming to get your flowers. Please include the mini cake that came with it"....(enter my wow!!! really? face here). So I graciously took my mini Bundt cake and flowers back to reception desk so she could come and get everything. Of course at the end of my call with her I was sure to say, "thanks for ruining my birthday even more" and hung up. I never have been so appalled by customer service... EVER in my life!? So I'm here to say, thanks for not just adding more hurt to today, but also for putting my mother in tears and for being the first ever to break the 38 year tradition...I hope this post circulates all around every social media outlet so that your shop can better learn that for some people, those flowers were going to be the only highlight to their day! Finding this place on yelp was such a gem! There's a ton of florist shops on camp bowie and this one had such beautiful photos, so we went to check them out. The inside of the shop has lots of fun decor, knick knacks, hilarious kitchy stuff - not to mention flowers! I had set an appt to talk about wedding and reception needs. The meeting was a success. I brought along my vast collection of pinned ideas on what I wanted and we were able to come to a conclusion on what we needed. I had my wedding 10 days before my reception - so we placed 2 separate orders. One for a bouquet and boutonniere, the other for centerpieces for the reception. Darla was so sweet- she had me bring back my bouquet to freshen it up before the reception. I had lots of succulents so it had more staying power than a normal floral bouquet. She showed up right on time for the delivery. She was so sweet, prompt and made such gorgeous arrangements! I just threw my centerpieces away yesterday. 10 days later!!!!
