Chef Jesse is a talented instructor (and cook, obvi) who made the process easy and fun. I loved assembling the dumplings and trying to crimp the top properly. Several friends were with me and it made the event even better! And a great value at $55! Until my next class!

The lobby was decorated with flower ceilings from above and a flower wall. Chef Amber created a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere in her kitchen with good lighting, complimentary snack/drink table, and played music of our choice! Her kitchen had the appropriate appliances, utensils, and kitchen tools to bake the macaroons. It was nothing but fun while we baked with Chef Amber. The baking instructions were written down as we followed her step by step instructions, no stress! She baked alongside throughout the activity. This was a great activity to do for our anniversary celebration. We highly recommend taking her class!

I hired Ama to cater the repast for my Beloved Aunt. I've known Ama personally for several years…read moreand I've always known her to be professional, puncutal and a perfectionist of sorts in all of her business ventures. I did not want to worry about the food arriving late, the quality of the food or the quality of service. Ama did not disappoint. Everything was perfect...Ama arrived early, the setup was beautiful and she even helped my mom with a few tasks unrelated to her catering service. The menu I chose consisted of Baked Chicken, Fried chicken, Fried Whiting, Beef and Turkey Meatballs, Mac and Cheese, Sautéed Cabbage, Garlic Butter Green Beans, Pasta Salad and Sweet Tea. The food was plentiful and delicious. I ordered service for 100 people...there was more than enough food and people were able to take home a plate as well. So many guests asked for her card while commenting on the flavor and freshness of the food. I wish I had taken pictures but it was a hectic day and I forgot. I highly and unequivocally recommend Ama's Catering Service.

My first interaction with Ama included a detailed conversation about why I was interested in using a meal prep service. She was very professional as well as personable. We discussed my dietary needs and any food allergies I may have. She provided excellent customer service. She had no hesitation answering all of the questions I had and was not impatient with me in the least. I had several questions. We had a very in-depth conversation about what her service provided. I must say the service has lived up to what she stated and it met and exceeded my expectations. Thanks to Ama, I was treated to some very fresh, tasty and nutritionally sound meals that included a wide array of vegetables, grains and proteins that I would not have normally prepared for myself. Everything was seasoned well and the portions were appropriate. If you are looking for a meal prep service in the DMV, I strongly recommend Ama. You will not be disappointed!

I came here for what I thought would be a great date night to learn how to make pasta. It turns out…read morethe class is very social and not actually all that great for a date night. I thought we would at least have our own stations and be making our own meals--instead we worked as a collective, creating a sort of assembly line for rolling, stuffing, and making sauce, and we could jump around as we pleased. I forgot the instructors name, but he was very energetic, knowledgeable in his instruction, and friendly---making a very delicious focaccia bread for us to nibble on---which was a highlight. The space is also very cute! At the same time, for a pasta making class, I was not prepared to have everyone's hands rolling and cutting the food I would be eating at the end of the night. I tried not to look at what others were doing, as to not ruin my experience, but I do not feel enough emphasis was put on cleanliness to make this something I would want to do again. For example, we were rolling pasta with our bare hands, but some people were drinking their BYOB beverages, eating , and taking pictures. I don't think any hand washing took place in between. Lastly, we made 3 different pasta dishes and only 1 of them was really good in the end. The others were edible, but just not that great and needed more flavor. If I did return, it would be with a private group of people I know to make the experience more comfortable and enjoyable. OTHER GLOWS: -Free parking validation for 3 hours right outside! -10% off at lighthouse for byob drinks before hand (we didnt know this!)

I didn't think that would be possible, especially when you're having your friends cook it, but the food is really really good. 3. BYOB - makes it much more affordable (we hosted 54 people). Schola provides glasses, buckets. I bring coolers, ice, cocktails, wine, beer and seltzer (they have water in pitchers). 4.
