This is a super cute flower shop! The shop cat loves to be rubbed and may follow you around the store if you stop to give him/her a good rub! Some home decor items that were well priced and similar to farmhouse/rustic/vintage style. There was someone placing an order in person with the employee at the time I was there so I didn't have any interactions which I didn't mind, but I can't comment much further. Probably the most hateful, unfriendly vendor i worked with through my wedding process. My day of flowers had bright blue pieces in them that i never even asked for. The delivery fee was going to be $2k (sometimes the price of a whole venue) the zip ties to hang my alter flowers were missing even though it was contracted to be a part of the piece since they were so large. The amount and way the head table flowers were wrapped together had to be undone because their wouldn't be enough to cover 1/3 of the table. Kim also tried to tell me how my day would be decorated, how the chairs and tables would be set up and also laughed at me when i tried to say how I wanted it. She also isn't great with technology. The bids come over in the most unprofessional, unreadable fashion. When asking her to stick to a budget she doesn't do that either. 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND read more

I found Kim to be unresponsive, unethical, and unprofessional. Kim presents "proposals" with ranges that are non-specific. When we first met, I told her our budget, and I said our colors would be yellow and white. It sounded fabulous when she suggested white hydrangeas, white tulips, and yellow roses. I told her we would use those Dollar Tree cylinders (about 3"x7") on the tables, and I would furnish them. She suggested 5 roses in each. We were envisioning long-stem (at least a few inches above the top of the cylinders), with maybe a sprig of baby's breath and maybe a little greenery around the vases. As time went on and I had questions, I never received answers. Several e-mails went unanswered. She had said she wanted 50% during the planning time and the rest later "or you can pay it all now". How would I have known what "all" was, as we still did not know how many tables we would have? I asked if I could send a check for $200, thinking that would be half. That would have been the appropriate time for her to say that was not enough. She did not. We would have then re-negotiated. When I took the vases down there on the Monday before the party, she was not there of course, and the "associate" presented me with a bill for $535 for the second "half," which was more than my original budget! She also billed me for 9 roses per vase. I told her that Kim had said 5, and she said, "Well, she had not seen the vases." (She was not there then to see them either.) I said, "We we need to go back to 5 per table". She said that she wouldn't do that, as they had "already been ordered". I was about to explode and would have, if my husband had not been sitting in the parking lot, double parked, as there were no parking spaces. I told her about the e-mails that went unanswered, and she said, ""Well, let's just go see". That really made me mad, as she did not believe me. But she soon found out, because there they were. I at no time received an itemized invoice. What I got was "table arrangements $100-$200; table flowers ($35-$40), delivery fee $35-$75, depending on time". She knew what time the party would be, so that should not have been so vague. Thus, it is not surprising that I thought $400 or so would cover it the entire amount. The associate said, "Surely you didn't think you were getting 12 tables of roses for $40". I thought, "No, but neither did I think they would be $8 per stem!" So I ended up paying them the total $736. I made it clear I was unhappy. And I verified "white hydrangeas, white tulips, and yellow roses" before I left. When we got to the church, we found that she had changed the order. She had added yellow calla lilies to the main arrangement (which were never mentioned, and I did not want and would have vetoed, had I been asked)), and there were 7 roses in each vase on the tables, not 9. They were chopped off with a rubber band around them and jammed down into the vases. As far as I am concerned, she owes me for 2 dozen roses I paid for and did not receive (at the price she charged me per stem). Apparently, someone was untruthful about their having already been ordered. I am sure any complaints will go unnoticed by her, just as my e-mails did, but I feel better for speaking up. None of our friends can believe we paid $736 for what we got. It was only after the fact that I read some online reviews that I wish I had read earlier. read more

If you want your wedding day to be everything you've ever hoped for, then don't go to Bloomingals Floral Boutique of Waco. It saddens me to have to write this review, because I believe this is a family owned company, but people need to know what they're getting for their money with this business. This floral company was recommended by my wedding caterer as the "best place to get my wedding flowers." My caterer was phenomenal, but her recommendation was not. Bloomingals had come recommended by a few different people we had talked to and also had some good write-ups in local magazines. Needless to say, this floral shop was well known all over the town of Waco. The initial interview with Kim (the owner) went pretty well, with her writing down all my likes and dislikes of wedding flowers. She showed me pictures of other weddings she had done, and though they looked a little bit dated (besides her daughter's recent wedding) they all looked tasteful and classy. We knew she was in our price range (by what others had told us), so we put our $500 deposit down to secure the wedding date. She let us know that if we were to spend over $1,000, we would get a free toss bouquet. She explained that since we didn't have a "set budget" for flowers yet (the wedding was still 8 months away) she would take what we said and give us a few different estimates to consider. She told us we'd receive the estimates in a couple of weeks, because she "doesn't like computers" but wanted her assistant to type it up nicely for us. We finally got the estimates a month later... and they were not typed up... they were a photocopied version of her handwritten notes. It took a month for a photocopy? Not only that, there were no actual prices on anything, like she said there would be. For instance, next to the bridal bouquet, it said "$100-$350". The whole list had prices like that. I assumed (since there was no explanation with anything) that pertained to whatever size you chose... a larger bouquet would cost $350 with the smallest bouquet being $100. A little confused, I tried to call the boutique, but never could get an answer. I finally emailed them with my questions, a week later I got a very vague and non-helpful email from one of Kim's "associates" apologizing for the phone incident, saying their phone lines had been "acting up lately." She also wanted me to know that Kim doesn't price anything... we tell her how much we want to spend and then she makes everything from that budget. (Um, is that normal for a floral shop??) To make a very long story short, their communication just got worse. Kim never returned phone calls or emails, and her poor little "associates" sounded like high school girls that were just as confused as I was. After the initial interview, Kim never corresponded with us again. I became very nervous, since the only people that would speak with me were one of her "associates" (whoever it was that day) and they could never give me a straight forward answer. About 2 weeks prior to the wedding, they finally emailed me back, saying they received all my emails and pictures, and everything would be perfect on the wedding day. Also, as to why Kim never got back to us... "she's been dealing with a lot and got really busy." Great... but we're the customer and we paid someone who didn't get back to us for 3 straight months, can't you understand why we're worried? Wedding Day comes, the bridal flowers look nice, but are wrong (go figure). There weren't supposed to be any pin-on corsages, only bracelet ones... of course there was only one bracelet, the rest were corsages... which fell apart as soon as they were pinned on (IT WAS SO EMBARRASSING!) The groomsmens' boutonnieres were also wrong and looked like something a child put together (not exaggerating at all). We were so disappointed in the way every thing turned out from Bloomingals. To top things off, when it was time to toss the bouquet, guess what? Even though we spent over $1000 and they said we'd get the toss bouquet for free, there was no toss bouquet delivered :( We had to toss a bridesmaid's bouquet (but luckily she caught it... she fought for it because it was hers to begin with!) When we called Bloomingals the next week, to complain about all the false promises and the lack of quality that was delivered to the wedding, they would not speak with us. An "associate" said she'd have Kim call us back. After 3 weeks of calling every other day... we gave up :( Good thing I didn't let "flowers" ruin my wedding, because the only thing worse than what they delivered wouldve been if the flowers had never showed up at all. Seriously... horrible communication, poor quality of product, and lousy, lousy, lousy customer service. read more

I'm not going to give a perfect review but I'm not going to give a bad one. There was moments of being unhappy. After paying the deposit, I went weeks w/o getting a bid from Kourtney. She was letting her personal issues get in the way BUT when it came down to it she was professional and reassured me. On my wedding day everything showed up on time and it was BEAUTIFUL AND PERFECT. The flowers were wilted when delivered. The flowers could not have been done by a professional......maybe someone in training. Just wanted to stop by and let you know I have been sending flowers since i was 15 or so. Yesterday was my 35th anniversary so I called my old source and ask to get a dozen red roses sent to my wife's work but they were unable to do it. i then called Bloomingals and ask. I was already running late in the day so I was getting worried. I was told they could do it and I commissioned them to do so. Before long my wife sent a text to me raving about the most beautiful arrangement she had ever gotten from me! Mentioning the flowers were like velvet she was so very happy! I then got a notice on Facebook that I was tagged in a picture so I looked and she had posted them telling that they were the most beautiful she had ever received. She told me that people she worked with were trying to buy them. To say the least im VERY happy with the efforts and quality I received. Thank you VERY MUCH! Bloomingals - To my Wife for our 35th - Florists Near Me - Waco, Texas

Do not, Do not, Do not use Bloomingals for your wedding unless you are ok with being very disappointed. I hired Bloomingals months ago to do the flowers for my wedding and reception this past October. I also informed them months ago of my budget for flowers for the wedding/reception and what I wanted as far as arrangements, bouquets, boutineers, and corsages. I was told then that it was ok and that they would make it work. THEN 9 DAYS before the wedding everything fell apart. I got a bid from the florist stating that it was going to cost quite a bit more than what my budget was set for, so I called them right away. I spoke with the owners assistant who told me that she would need to speak with the owner. She then called me back and told me that the owner said that in order to get my budget where I wanted it, I would have to cut out approximately 50% of my flowers. This was totally unbelievable to me espicially after they knew my budget, said they could "make it work", and it was 9 DAYS UNTIL MY WEDDING! I was devasted and pretty angry at this point. I told her that I would just let them do my flowers for the wedding and my family and I would do all the decorations for the reception. THEN ON THE DAY OF THE WEDDING, approximately 2 1/2 hours prior to the wedding and before we arrived, the flowers were delivered to the library where we had the ceremony. WHEN I GOT TO THE LIBRARY I WAS IN SHOCK! THE FLOWERS WERE ALL THE WRONG COLORS AND WERE THE SMALLEST BOUQUETS I HAD EVER SEEN! The boutineers were like 1/2 the size of my thumb! It was ridiculous. The only flowers I asked for in addition to the flowers for the wedding party were 2 wreaths to go on the doors and my throw away bouquet, which they didnt deliver. I called Bloomingals immediately and spoke with the owners assistant again. She said that we agreed that my sister would do the wreaths which was incorrect because even the lady that runs the library said that someone from Bloomingals had called them to discuss hanging the wreaths. She also said that the owner was out and she would have to discuss my complaints with her. Let me remind you it was now about 2 hours until my wedding! And it is now 5 days after my wedding and I still have not heard from the owner or her assistant. Now thats what I call great customer service! (totally being sarcatistic!) Like I said before, do yourself a favor find a florist that is honest, dependable, and professional...which Bloomingals is not. Weddings are stressful enough. read more

Bloomingals made my wedding day absolutely PERFECT! Our flowers were exactly what we wanted and were so beautiful. I went by the shop a couple of times changing numbers on things and even changing some ideas and they went with my vision. They had everything set up at the church before pictures started and even transported arrangements from the church over to the reception site. Kim is so creative and worked with my budget. After readint these other reviews, I think these girls must be talking about a different place! Kim is so creative and works with any budget. We told her what we wanted to spend and she made it work. That's why she makes the ranges like the other review described because she will use different flowers depending on what your budged is. We spent exactly what we wanted to and I got everything I wanted and it was absolutely beautiful. Her work is very modern but she also does traditional (except they don't use horrible baby's breath!) and our wedding was rustic/country and she hit the nail on the head. I have continued to order flowers from her for other occasions because she has great taste. I would be interested to see what the other people who wrote reviews wanted for their wedding and how much they spent--flowers are NOT cheap, ladies! I would recommend Bloomingals 100%. read more
