She is very professional and was always very prompt with emails and phone calls. When we would have phone meetings to discuss details, I would never feel rushed and always felt relieved about the event after speaking with her. Prior to the event there is a google doc that Christina has you fill out so that she can have as much info about the event and create a timeline for your day. In addition to this, she makes sure that all the other vendors receive this so everyone is on the same page. This was not something I would have done on my own and this was something that really helped keep the event organized. 2 days before the wedding she came to my house and picked up the reception decor, this was huge! At that point I was totally overwhelmed and having the decor taken off my hands was amazing! After that, there was not much I had to worry about and after the ceremony arrived to a very beautifully decorated reception! She made the entire night go smoothly and I did not have to worry about anything! If anything went wrong, I have no idea because Christina was the eyes and ears of the event and really allowed me to relax and enjoy the evening. It's really easy to give someone 5 stars when everything goes "perfectly." To give some context, we recently celebrated our son's first birthday (which is a huge event in our culture) and the initial meetings with Erin were spot on. Her ideas, taste and vision were aligned with mine and I was so excited to work with her. After our initial "idea board" meeting I couldn't stop smiling because the details she had said she would bring to the party were so cute and unique and I couldn't wait to see them brought to life on the big day. Throughout the planning process she was extremely responsive, detail oriented, kind and just awesome in all ways. We also threw her the curveball of working with the schedule of two small children with their naps and she approached it with calm and flexibility. I should also mention that I'm an extremely picky and detail oriented person and lets say I put the "A" in type A personality and am a perfectionist so my expectations are always high. Having said this, on the day of the event the party's timeline, vendors, organizational details, logistics went smoothly. However there were a couple of items that we had discussed at the initial "idea board" that didn't happen and unfortunately they were related to significant cultural and family tradition aspects of the event so suffice to say I was saddened and frankly a bit shocked on what had happened. Mind you that the guests had an awesome time and it was a magical party and no one else noticed except mama bear. Usually at this point it would go downhill with most vendors, but I'm someone who likes to ask people "what happened" when things don't go according to expectations so I contacted Erin. First off, I could tell she was deeply affected and saddened and took it to heart that the event had not met my expectations. What I found impressive was her passion and heart in this party was genuine and she took it personally that I wasn't completely happy. Additionally, at no time was she defensive or coming up with excuses. She listened and asked without prompting "what can I do" and understood where I was coming from. We ended up doing a redo of the missing elements and while not a replacement for what I had wished happened at the party, it ended up being perfect. Additionally her professional conduct, authenticity as an overall sweetheart of a person and personal investment in her events speaks volumes. So would I use Erin again? In a heartbeat yes! If it wasn't clear, she has the most amazing style and taste that really is unique and personal. My husband is the rustic, natural type and I'm the whimsical, styled, elegent type and she was able to combine both. I also know that we ALL make "boo boos" for one reason or another and sometimes things happen and I know I wouldn't want to be defined by something that didn't go quite right. I know that Erin has been in this business since 2008 and based on her other reviews and what I did experience from her she is stellar at what she does but as with all things, sometimes something just falls through the crack and in this case it was some elements from our event. And honestly, I think we were that 1 in a million and any and all future events with Erin would be pefect :) But what defines someone to me is how they react/respond when confronted with it and Erin's response couldn't have been better. It was cozy, by the fireplace while it was raining outside. Had so many compliments on the ceremony. We attended one of the bridal events to try some food and nothing blew us away then but the food on the wedding day was amazing. Again, so so many compliments from our guests on how good the food stations were. It was seriously really good! My family friends and I joked that all the craziness was the "storm before the calm". Once I had to be in place, ceremony was starting etc..it was the calm. Everything was perfection. Dj Chris was amazing too. What was worth the money: - the venue is beautiful and affordable. The planning process is top notch with responsive coordinators and deadlines set for us to easily follow. They are very organized in the planning process. They are very accommodating in what times we can arrive, and what spaces/furniture we could use for our tea ceremony/door games. - photobooth takes great quality pictures and is easy to operate on our own - food was great - Coordinator Kaitlyn did an amazing job. She has an eye for decoration and was able to setup our ribbons/mirror quickly with the materials we provided to her. She was helpful on the day of and easy to find. Also I highly recommend Justice as the banquet coordinator! He frequently checked up on us to see if we are doing ok. What wasn't worth the money: * iMobileDJs- venue provided this new preferred vendor for all their customers, but the DJs were not up to par. They made multiple mistakes on the day of. i warned them that our DJ/MC instructions are complicated, and they still insisted on not meeting until 10days before the wedding, or assigning us a DJ. all other vendors are flexible and able to work with us well in advance. it was stressful knowing they would randomly assign us one of their 20 DJs- most of which have no online reviews anywhere. * i emphasized that guests must be able to clearly see the projector screens during reception,, but the resolution on the screens we paid for from imobile was too small. no guests in the back of the room could see the text shown on the screens. also they randomly showed a USB connection error, and Aldwin had to come fix it. * DJ Mark did not read all the questions as they came up on our Kahoot game. he was slow to catch up because he was talking too much and we had to fill in when he was silent * Ceremony procession delay because he couldn't play the song. all guests were looking back at us (lined up ready and waiting for the music), wondering what is happening. Guests sitting in direct sun were sweating. Our officiant had to awkwardly improvise things to say. This caused us to cut short our couple photo time and the following events as we were in a tight schedule. * sound system set up in the reception room had a lot of echos. The volume was fine but it is very hard to hear the speeches. * first dance song did not cut out at the right time. DJ Mark played the whole song instead of ending where we told him to so it was awkward for us to walk off. Mark made an AI generated review sheet with all the correct notes/song times on it but on the day of- he didn't have these notes in front of him! so why did he make these notes at all if he was not going to follow it? the first dance cut off time was written on these notes- and he knew our instructions were detailed yet decided not to print them out on the day of. This pissed us off because I think most coordinators/MCs MUST pay close attention to detail and make an effort to follow instructions- not just make an AI generated paper which they don't look at. * Cocktail room room speakers were not loud enough,, guests couldn't hear the music i curated.. and many of them couldn't hear the announcements made about the popsicles being served outside * a big issue was the Bar menu showing drink prices- it was very unclear that we had paid in our contract for guests to have free beer/wine. we saw very few guests with drinks in their hands which was a disappointment. some guests ordered beer and were surprised that they didn't have to pay. other guests didn't get alcohol because they thought they had to pay. huge waste of our money * Dinner was served very late, there was a long gap between salad and entree. Kaitlyn emphasized the dinner time must follow the schedule,, but even with our speech delays there was still a really long wait. Even the bride finished her salad and had to wait for the dinner * cake was served too late as well- some guests told me they were waiting to be served,, so it was not announced that it was buffet style, maybe the DJ was supposed to communicate it? Some people also just left because the cake was taking too long. i can't imagine how much cake was wasted- as it happens in all weddings. Overall like I said- just an OK experience. There were many small details that weren't carried out, and many things to complain about,, but the most glaring issues was- iMobileDJs and the bar menu not being clear that guests had free drinks. I suggest you do not use their vendor iMobileDJs, unless you have very basic instructions, don't need the MC/DJ to do much, and no music time edits needed. ask more family members to help you or hire an additional day-of-coordinator if you have a ton of DIY decorations. Other preferred vendors-- Dana's florist and Old Danville Bakery did an awesome job!

Saneta was the Cal State certified event planner . Before the meeting she e mailed us and called us to remind us "'don't be late " . We arrived 5 minutes early and were greeted by her lovely assistant. We were informed to wait a little while and we ended up waiting 20 minutes . No apologies. Sandra met us when she was done with the last client . We were wondering why stressed so much about " on time " while she could not keep the appointment as scheduled. The venue is beautiful, nicely devoted with big Wi downs and screen so you could appreciate the sunshine and green lawn outside . It was also big enough to accommodate 200 - 250 guests . It has a big dance floor , outdoor area to have a wedding ceremony and a fountain . The basic cost of the venue was the cheapest compared to other . However, they have a detailed list of renting cost every single item ( like dessert bowls , chair cover , dessert spoons, cocktail table , etc ) . I have enclosed a list for your reference. I would not recommend to come to this venue for the hidden costs and inconvenience. We did not appreciate the dinner banquet was only Buffett style . Saneta told us that they did not have the staffs and time to do table service. We were expecting an elegant dining banquet and were quite disappointed.

After that, Courtney A. was our main contact. She handled all the vendors and made sure everything was being taken care of. She was even a great person to go to when I needed to vent about anything! She would tell me that everything would run smooth and not to worry about other things and to relax. She was like my wedding BFF! Anytime I needed anything she was so quick to respond. If she missed my call she returned it within minutes. Things got hectic leading up to our wedding day, and we couldn't get all the minor details to her. She reassured me she would make everything look great, and that's exactly what she did! There was also another Courtney helping her the day of, and she was amazing too! My son wanted to sit with his cousins, but of course that day he changed his mind and wanted to sit with us at our sweetheart table. Really all we had to do was tell Jackie what we wanted, drop off all of our materials 2 days before, and leave it all up to her. She was professional, communicative, and caring. The one thing I REALLY appreciated out of Jackie, was that she was so lax on the day of our wedding. She ran things along so smoothly but also didn't keep us to a super tight schedule and let things run it's course naturally. Even though the reception seems long, it's a lot to fit in in a short amount of time but Jackie didn't rush us or make us feel like we needed to do things at the exact moment the timeline was laid out. I didn't once feel wound up and she made me feel super relaxed. She also decorated all of the tables beautifully and really put together what I had envisioned and planned for for months. It was executed perfectly and all of our guests kept complimenting the venue and decorations. She also packed up all of our stuff at the end of the night so we just had to hop into the limo. Before we signed a contract with her, she was straightforward with us about her giving birth in the middle of the wedding planning process. Despite having to give labor in the middle of planning, Justina's continued to impress us with her clear communication on timelines and expectations. She only stepped away from about 2 weeks after labor and resumed with us; just WOW, we wanted to tell her that she should rest more. During the planing process, Justina handles all of the timelines, organization, and paperwork; which saved my husband and I so much time! Justina was especially a godsend for me, as I was working full-time and wrapping up my master's degree in the same year. We loved how she is prepared with templates for us to follow and takes notes of our every meeting. They were able to tell us who was beer and wine only, who had a 10pm end time because of noise ordinances, and who required you to use certain caterers that were $x per head. This will save you SO much time and save you visits to random places that don't meet your requirements. Vendor sourcing - they are super good at this re: figuring out (or making you figure out what you like) who matches your style for every vendor, then finding one that fits in your budget. Most importantly, they will make sure everyone shows up (join any wedding FB group and read some horror stories). They will help you with all of the contracting and the collection of COIs, etc. Again, this would have been IMPOSSIBLE for myself and my now husband. We literally do not have the hours in the day to do this. This team is on top of everything - they will chase you down if they need to for answers for pieces of your event. They can make anything happen - from the weirdest requests to the most mundane. They are so professional, and they really make your wedding super personal. Amazae designed and executed a beautiful event from beginning to end that felt so authentic to us. Day of, they were there to take care of everything, and it was truly a flawless day. We could not asked for a better planner re: Crystal, Kaila, and the rest of the team. We put full trust in them re: the design of this event and the day of. Example: I honestly did not know what florals were going to be there, but they were so stunning. The strength of the Amazae team is in their ability to bring you and your personality into an event that is mostly structured a certain way. They also make your day as stress-free as possible. I cannot say enough positive things about this team and their ability to make your wedding great. If you're down to hand things off to someone else, I would say hand it off to them. It will be better than what you could have come up with yourself.

Planning a wedding during a pandemic is hard, even a micro-wedding. You don't want to be cake…read moretasting or menu tasting, so you rely on experts. That's why we decided to hire an event planner for our daughter's wedding in January 2021. Even though it was a small backyard wedding, we wanted it to be memorable and elegant. We interviewed 3 different event planners, and got 3 rough quotes, all around the same ballpark. Amazae's quote, however, was the most detailed, breaking down a high & low range for each item (food, florals, rentals, photography, etc.) It was an easy choice to contract with them. Crystal came onsite for our first meeting, and I really didn't have a lot for her to go on. My daughter isn't the Pinterest type, so I just told Crystal the wedding colors and showed her pictures of the wedding gown and bridesmaid gowns. The rest of the planning was all done via zoom, emails, and a few phone calls. We worked mostly with Caitlin, who is an amazing planner. Each step along the way, she gave us several options to choose from. For example, she provided a list of 4 photographers, their quote for the day, their profile, their gallery, etc. Once all of our choices were made, she put together a design deck that gave us a preview of the entire wedding. It was more gorgeous than I envisioned. On the day of the wedding, Lisa came out to set everything up. She even picked up the florals and wedding cake to save us the delivery fees. It was a little hectic when I met her, and I probably spent 5 minutes with her showing her where everything was before we left for the church ceremony. And when we came back, she was driving off, leaving behind a magical transformation of yard. Everyone was stunned. The catering crew then took over and prepared a "Top Chef" level meal. And when they left, my kitchen was as clean as when they arrived. My husband commented, "Whatever we paid for this wedding, it was worth every penny." Haha. True.
