What stood out most was that this level of attention was directed only at me. Other customers in the store were left alone to shop, while multiple employees hovered near me and continued questioning me as I moved through different sections. I wasn't disruptive, I wasn't doing anything unusual, and I was there to make a purchase. The experience made me feel singled out and unwelcome, which is not how a customer should feel in a beauty store. I hope management takes this seriously and provides better training on how to assist customers without making them feel uncomfortable or profiled.

She helped me pick a new product that worked amazingly, without having to lift and or remove color from my roots. The Color Specialist is awesome though: Just be a little cautious when taking advice from anyone else. Other than that bit of bad advice, the employees of this store are all wonderful; extremely knowledgeable about the things they carry and will readily admit if they don't know something or aren't 100% sure. Which is reassuring. In short, if you're not a beautician and have hair color questions, it's probably best to call ahead and make sure the color specialist is in. She's awesome and knows what she's doing. She'll also help you with correcting botched color pretty effectively, so long as you take her advice.

I called an hour before I came in to make sure where they were located and they booked me over the phone, but also take walk-ins. The staff were all super sweet. The store was pretty dead so I assumed the cashier was restocking. A duo of a manager and a manager in training had crossed my path twice while I was in the store. The manager was training but didn't smile at me/greet me/ask if I need help. The duo walked past the cash register and ignored me. I said hi and asked if they could help ring me out. I wasn't in a hurry but wasn't being acknowledged at all. They told me they couldn't but someone would come help. The cashier came rushing up. I feel bad and am also annoyed managers can't get in the dirt with employees. Managers should set the example with customer service; not be exempt from it.

It is also conveniently located inside The Block Northway (which is a gorgeous, well-maintained shopping center!) along with some other great stores. I came in last weekend to grab some primer and setting powder, and I was amazed by how well the merchandise is organized here. It's by far more orderly than any other ULTA I've visited, and the product selection is huge! The staff does an excellent job of keeping products fully stocked on the sales floor and in their proper locations. I was able to grab what I needed very easily within a few minutes. This ULTA has so many brands, including some that are exclusive to only certain stores. I was excited to see the Lipstick Queen section here, as I've always wanted to try out some more of their products. The woman at the cash register, Lea, was very friendly and knowledgeable about the products. She even gave me two free samples, as they did not yet receive shipment of the free deluxe product I had a coupon for. I was very impressed with the exceptional customer service! I highly recommend this ULTA Beauty and will absolutely be back to shop here again! Having just moved to this area, I have definitely decided that this will be my go-to ULTA store.

I arrived ten minutes early for my appointment and there was a handwritten sign on the door stating they'd be back by the time my appointment started. Spoiler- they were a few minutes late. After I waited for them to reopen the store I was informed the tech I was assigned would not accept Groupon. Super frustrating to have my time completely wasted. Not only because they were late, but because there was no disclaimer that the tech they signed me up with would turn me away. It doesn't say on Groupon they won't accept the voucher or they don't have techs that will refuse. So if this is the case- why sell for your location?
