This used to be the spot of White Rabbit when it was a consignment shop but now this classy decor and ladies clothing and accessories store. The style inside is very classy but fabulous with high color, lots of print, sequin and lace and edgy items from some smaller, high-end designers. I loved the Michael Aram section with some beautiful dinnerware, frames, candles and other accessories for the home. It's pricey but everything in here is unique and it was a fun browse. I found several wonderful items of clothing, some home accessories, and some items on the sale rack in the back that were good price.

I needed it for my home. She warmly smiled and said it was a combination of many items that they carried in the store and the store always smelled this pleasantly sweet. I chatted for awhile with Laura as I waited for my stuff crust pizza from Pizza Hut to be prepared. I was so intrigued with all the items in the store that I let my pizza get cold. They had healing stones, stones for your chakras, candles, scented oil, a variation of sage and spices. There was jewelry with good quality stones and sculptures galore. Not only was there a pleasant vibe in the store that made you feel peaceful and serene but Laura was so patient and informative as I began to be more and more inquisitive. Bless her heart. A beautiful store-front window is always displayed to perfection bringing window shopping to life during your stroll down Colley Avenue. A charming sidewalk chalkboard sign greets you before you even enter the store. The handiwork on the sign is done by a local artist which speaks to the nature of Texture. As you enter the shop, you will find it proudly supports local artists of Coastal Virginia from Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Williamsburg, and more. I'm always impressed by the jewelry, hand designed greeting cards, pottery, and accessories that the owner finds for the store. She or any other "Texurette" will happily tell you about the origins of any item. The ladies who work in the shop (Texurettes, as they are fondly called) are always friendly and helpful if you are looking for something particular. They offer complimentary gift wrapping in adorable gift bags tied with ribbon. Every time I give a gift in a Texture bag the recipients eyes light up! You will find a price range for every wallet. I have bought $2 hand soaps, hilarious dishes towels for $10 as well as beautiful jewelry in the higher price range. Texture is one of those local shops who truly supports local as well.
