I recently visited for a gel pedicure ($45), and unfortunately, the experience was highly disappointing. The older gentleman who worked on my nails showed a clear lack of attention to detail, and frankly didn't want to be there. He didn't push my cuticles, trim or shape my nails, nor did he roughen the surface to help the gel adhere properly. I had interrupted and asked him to do these things which was not done. All other staff were with other patrons. Additionally, he used a dirty emery board on my skin (not nails), which was of course ineffective. The polish application was sloppy, with excessive bubbling and uneven coverage, resembling a toddler's attempt, with more on my skin than my nails. When I politely asked for corrections, he rubbed the dirty emery board on my painted skin, with no improvement. The massage was practically nonexistent, callouses were barely touched. Eventually, I asked a kind older woman there to fix the mess, and she did what she could to improve it. Overall, I left feeling very disappointed by the service and the quality of the pedicure. Their customer service and work is absolutely terrible. I had gotten my acrylics removed here, they seemed fine while I was in the shop; once I got home I had noticed they were really thin, weak and felt terrible. I am aware acrylic does this but I have never had this happen before to this extent, especially after removal, they had drilled so much off it's ridiculous. When I called to complain about my service and asked for a refund they denied it and cursed at me saying I was wrong and to be quiet. How is this place still running and getting business. First of all, I did not only give this place one, not to but three fucking chances to make things right every time I go there, they are butchering my feet filing all the way down to the skin to the point where I'm bleeding and then they have the nerve to try to cover up the blood by holding my feet and smiling and they're also rude because they talk a different language They're talking Chinese and you can tell they're talking crap about us because they laugh after every sentence and then look back at us and then start talking again. It was so unprofessional and it's always been unprofessional. I'm surprised Salon is still in business and then last, but not least as I was doing my nails the guy named they all do this was talking nonstop across from the table for me as he's doing my nails he keeps going and talking and yelling and just spitting. He had bad breath. He was wearing flip-flops and he just kept talking. It was such a dis service extremely unprofessional and then they have the nerve to charge me $100 or more every time and I let it go every time I regret not suing them or taking them to court because my nails always come out horrible and the nail polish raises after one day never recommend this place should be shut down and the hygiene is horrible. I was walking in expecting to pay $70 for new set of tips, acrylic, and gel! When I asked him how much it was he said $40!!! So I was like why not, lemme get some rhinestones while I'm at it. I was severely disappointed with all aspects of Bloom Nails and Spa. I booked an appointment for both a pedicure and gel manicure. My pedicure alone took an hour to be completed, and because of the slow service I chose not to get my nails done. The staff did not take any sanitary measures to clean their tools. To add, the service was terrible. One of the workers upcharged my friend for fixing one singular nail, and was rude about it. I went to insert my card to pay and the lady slapped my hand and tried to grab my credit card to insert it herself. This is my go to nail salon in the area and the only place I will go too. I usually get a mani and pedi. The gel manicure and pedi is only $45. It's one of the most affordable prices I have seen. I try to go when they first open at 930am so I don't have to wait. Otherwise, going any other time you might have to wait anywhere from 30 mins to over an hour depending how busy they are. You can make a reservation but even if you do you still might have to wait. I've experienced that twice myself so I stopped making reservations. They always take their time to make sure your nails come out good. It usually takes about an 1 hr&20 mins give or take for a mani and pedi. They have a wide range of colors to choose from. My gel manicure always lasts for 2 weeks or more. Despite the long wait sometimes, definitely a great nail salon worth going to if you're in the area. Check it out! read more

This review is not for my manicurist, but for the ridiculous price. The manicurist was kind and patient, so absolutely nothing negative to say about her. First off, they charge $10 to remove dip powder, okay cool. I then asked for matte nails and a few pieces of gold paper. I was not notified that it's an extra $5 for matte and $15 for 10 small pieces of paper. I did mention that the price for gold paper was ridiculous and she dropped it down to $10. So a dollar per nail? If I knew it was going to be so much I would of done it my damn self. Now take a look at my nails, one which already chipped and broke yesterday a couple of hours after getting the gel manicure, and ask yourself, is this worth $50? I got my nails done here in the beginning of the week. I was happy because they were the only decent salon who wasn't booked on a Monday midday. It also raised an alarm because I figured they were booked up because they weren't a good nail salon. But the pictures on yelp changed my mind. Either way, I came in looking for a specific design to be done and Linh helped me. I'm a perfectionist so it wasn't exactly like the picture but she did a damn good job. The only reason why I took a star away was because of their customer service. A woman had come in saying her gel nails were chipping already (she must have just gotten her nails done recently). It seemed like her nails may have also been stained somehow with grey marks and they were kinda placing blame on something she might have done to have that happen. They were a bit rude about it and the customer was being nice about it. I don't know what happened there after but it didn't make me feel good about their overall service. This nail salon is a little bit better than the others in the area but I still think it can improve. If I could, I would have gave it a 3.5 stars. Rounding it down to 3 is better though. I have gone here about 2-3 times and the salon is very clean and well put together. It is organized and has great hygiene, which I like. The wait can be a little long though, but at the right time it's not bad. The people are very stand-offish and very, "in and out" with the nail jobs. I've been coming here every two weeks for the past few months. I really like the service, and they're open about 30 minutes earlier than the other nail places on Saturday, which I love. If you come for a gel mani and pedi early Saturday morning, you can get in and out in less than hour and a half. I think the service is good. Any time something has happened to one of my nails, I've come back and they're happy to fix it. They definitely have the best gel mani/pedi deal in town! Just went here for the first time because they have $20 pedicures Mon. - Thurs. I wasn't sure how great it would be for $20 but I didn't have to worry- service was wonderful, they did a great job! The place is very clean and the woman who did my toes was very good (and my feet are awful so that says a lot!) You get all the standard pedicure stuff- massage chair, exfoliating stuff, foot massage, etc. For $20 you can't go wrong. One suggestion I would make is that if you want a very specific color either bring it with you or check if they have it first. They seemed to have a wider range of gel colors than regular. Another great thing about this place was that it seems to be pretty well ventilated - don't get me wrong it still definitely smells like nail polish, but it's not as overwhelming as it is at many other places. Went here around 11 and it wasn't busy at all, however as I was getting my nails done more people started coming in. Didn't have an appointment and it was no problem. A little expensive for what it was. $30 for a gel manicure and $15 extra for the designs I got. In love with the designs. I had the two guys - one to paint the base and the other to paint the designs, and both were good. I would recommend the guys over the ladies. I really do like but didn't give 5 stars because my friend got a plain gel manicure and the lady who painted her nail was giving her a hard time. I felt like I should give them another chance because the past two times I've gone my cuticles have always bled so I was hoping that this third time they would be more gentle. Unfortunately, the woman I had was rough and made me bleed again and then put this white powder on it when it wouldn't stop bleeding and didn't even warn me beforehand or tell me what she was putting on my finger. She told me she'd remove the excess polish from my fingers and she didn't, and they didn't even paint the front edges of my nails. Today I came in asking for a full set removal. I have thin nails, so I asked the staff to be gentle. My first and only visit at this place was a walk-in without an appointment and they took me in without any wait time which was the only good part. I got regular mani pedi and it was $45 which I thought was reasonable but the service was not good at all. The pedicure was done in no time, there was barely any scrubbing and absolutely no massage. Manicure was also not worth it, one of my nails started to bleed while being cleaned and I am usually not that sensitive. Nails were not filed well and the nail paint started to chip very next day. It was a total waste of money for me. May be if you are regular and know who to get the service from it's a different experience but if a walk-in like me it may not be as great. The owner is rude and talks loudly over the customer when they are calmly expressing their dislike of services. Besides the fact that no one here can do any type of filing (e.g stiletto, almond,) and the color selections are mediocre at best. So, I'm new to the area and have been on quite the quest for a regular nail salon. This Sunday, I tried out Bloom for a mani/pedi. Will NOT return. The good:(1) prices - I paid $28 for a regular manicure and pedicure which you can't really beat. (2) massage chairs - are crack/cocaine. I put them on repeat several times to let that thing work out some major kinks in my back and neck. Bonus: the chair even massages the back of your head! (3) cleanliness - the materials are presumably autoclaved and the surfaces are clean. The bad: (1) nail polish selection - now, please bear in mind that this review is for a regular manicure/pedicure and not gel. Their gel selection seemed decent and it seemed to me that they'd abandoned the regular polishes to keep current on the gel. But, the regular polish was old and leaned more toward dark colors despite this being the summer time. (2) cleanliness - yes, I mentioned cleanliness as part of my good but it's included here as well because (a) I never saw them wipe down the foot basins after a pedicure and (b) there was an autoclave on the premises but I don't recall seeing them remove tools from it. The ugly: the actual manicure and pedicure - I walked out looking like a 5 year old painted my nails and toes. the polish was all over my cuticles and even on my finger/toe tips. VERY bad paint job, I could've done better blindfolded. If you're absolutely desperate for a manicure and can't find any place else that is open, then go. Otherwise, shell out a little more cash for a proper job. read more

Went with a friend yesterday and both of us felt that we would never come back. Pros: Clean, not crowded, fast service Cons: The basic mani and pedi did not have even a second of massage! They did not even mention about upgrades to us until we asked at the end of the service, the nails were not shaped well both mani and pedi, the polish laid too thick. When i pointed to a place where more filing was needed, the person working on it tucked it into my nail!!!! Cuticles were not removed, my friend had a smudge and they just went on to slap another coat of polish to cover it. The polish had bubbles in it once applied to my nail. I do not recommend this place. I came in for a manicure and pedicure and was hardly greeted. I didn't know whether I should sit in a waiting chair or somewhere else. As I waited, still unsure how long I would be there, I sat in my spa chair and realized this place is kind of gross, old/dirty and ghetto. The spa chairs are dated. It smelled awful in there, like old fast food. A child of one of the employees was hanging out in the spa chair next to me playing loud, annoying videos from her tablet. Not very relaxing at all! Even the attire of one of the employees was inappropriate. There were two half empty water bottles at my spa chair. And maybe this isn't Blooms fault, but all the people in there were also not the classiest bunch. As I continued to wait, I read through other Yelp reviews and decided that if I already didn't like this place, I didn't want to waste money to confirm what I was already thinking and what some other reviewers also felt. So I dried off my feet, got out of my spa chair and drove right next door to my usual place at Luxi Nails. I had my usual services and left Luxi with my usual smile. The only nice thing about Bloom was that there is plenty of parking. But at the end of the day, that is irrelevant in the grand scheme of me needing to get my nails done. I wanted to try a new place and I wanted to like this place. Sadly, that didn't happen and I won't be back. read more
