To make a long horrific story short, the red flags included: WEEKS of delay in receving the intial proposal that was met with numerous excuses and reassurance everything was booked for our wedding (spolier: it never was), at one point the excuse was ownership changed so Kathy took her notes home, She called to verify some of our floral info which was pretty straightforward, She ignored the email of inspo pics, Kathy moved communication from the store's email to her personal email, the order was not a formal contract and never signed by either party even when I requested a signed copy (my lesson - should have pulled the plug here), a Square payment link that had a different business name attached, horrible spotty communication throughout all of this - I would have to email, call the store, and text Kathy numerous times for a response, once payment was made there was radio silence. Our wedding was 12 days away and we had not received any confirmation of our florals being ordered/prepared, my cooridnator was not able to get a response at all. Finally my MIL called the store and pressed for an answer (after they hung up on her and she called back) and they informed us the store had NO RECORD of my wedding, of our order, OR THE PAYMENT. The casually said maybe Kathy was doing the order on her own (not through the shop) which was never communicated to us and would not be allowed by our venue. We then sent an email requesting full refund given the order was never placed, no contract, etc and like MAGIC after 2 weeks of no answer - Kathy texted within 15 minutes. After some back and forth we were able to get a refund, which was the ONLY good part of this horrible experience that almost left us with no flowers for our wedding.

I spent an hour and a half researching a purple arrangement with an angel keepsake for a family navigating a profound loss. I bypassed Teleflora, paying a custom markup to support this local shop directly. On Thursday, I spent 20 minutes on the phone confirming inventory. I paid for the absolute highest tier, which is the Teleflora Premium Beautiful Heart Bouquet, Item T274-3C. I gave explicit, non-negotiable instructions that I wanted a dark purple profile to match the tall Lavender Stock flowers, absolutely no pink tones, and no other flower or greenery substitutions. I requested the pink-striped Alstroemeria lily be replaced with purple or lilac if possible.The delivered item breached our contract through severe shortages, cheap substitutions, and terrible mechanics. First, the Premium recipe mandates 4 tall stems of dark purple Stock to frame the angel symmetrically. They provided only 2 stems, clumping them on the left and leaving the right bare. Second, it mandates 2 full stems of white Asiatic Lilies. They provided only 1 stem, which was a completely closed, tight, green bud. Using an unopened bud for an immediate sympathy event leaves a gaping hole where a white flower belonged. Third, they shorted the rose count, providing 5 instead of the required 6. Fourth, they completely omitted the required premium greens, which are Dusty Miller and Lemon Leaf. Instead, they stuffed the base with basic Leatherleaf Fern, the CHEAPEST filler in the floral industry, to make it appear larger. .Most insulting was the total disregard for color. They used warm magenta or fuchsia carnations and pink-striped lilies. This completely violated my instruction that the arrangement not pull pink whatsoever, shifting it into a pink and purple palette that was dominantly pink. Mechanically, the roses were jammed together into a messy clump rather than framing the angel canopy.When I called, the employee was incredibly polite and professional, agreeing on the color and design flaws. However, the owner refused accountability. The owner falsely claimed the premium recipe only calls for 1 lily stem and offered a measly 20 percent discount or to send a driver to take back the flawed arrangement and swap it. Intruding on a grieving family to swap an arrangement like a retail return during an unexpected tragedy is tone-deaf and unacceptable. I refused the offers and am taking my military-affiliated business elsewhere permanently. What this florist ended up delivering was the floral arrangement and a huge bar of chocolate. This was done without consulting us as to whether the swap-out to a huge bar of chocolate was acceptable. Personally, I think sending someone a $2.00 bar of chocolate for a wedding anniversary is tactless. I will go back to using 1-800-Flowers again. To FTD's credit, they did refund the approx $20.00 cost of the ordered box of chocolates.

The flowers sent from another shop by friends looked better than the ones sent by family. They looked okay but I can't believe I paid over $100 for each one! He also said he would give us a free arrangement but he didn't. I don't know if it's just a Florida thing to pay so much for flowers but I seriously would try to find another place if you're trying to plan for a funeral. As for his other stuff, reg flower bouquets are nice but he's still a rip-off. I bought a cute little bouquet for my aunt to cheer her up and it cost me $50 when I told him my budget was $30.
