There is to this day a stigma surrounding mental health issues. But we as a society need to talk about them - as there is a lot that can be done to help folks out when they need help. Before last year - I never understood why anyone would need to go talk to someone such as a psychiatrist, psychologist, or counselor. But I learned the hard way last summer. My hope is that in writing this review - it will help out others - to let them that know that they need to pursue assistance, get help, talk about these issues and get the issues into the light of day - and get back on the right track! When my Mother passed away last summer - I was pretty stressed out over her passing. I did not do a very good job of dealing with the stress, grief, and anxiety of losing her. My primary care physician wanted me to go talk with a counselor to help me get through this difficult period of time. This was corroborated by the two psychiatrists I went to visit for first and second opinions. They both felt I was experiencing some generalized anxiety over the loss of my Mom. So I started to visit with Eve Radin, an LPC. initially I wasn't sure what to expect, but Eve has this calming effect and she started working with me to find ways to deal with, manage, and reduce my stress. For the first six months or so, I'd go and visit with her once a week. I actually looked forward to the sessions - knowing that I was making progress and with her help am getting back to where I wanted and needed to be. Highly recommended!

This is the kind of return that you get at this office : a no return at all. Then when you finally talk outraged with her Dakota puppy nurse and get to be finally seen 4 days after , Doctor Byrd prescribes you an inhaler that is nowhere to be found and bought. I call the office and try to get an alternative prescription , but there is no one at the office on Fridays that can get you an alternative prescription ! Today is Thursday! No one has called me, not Dr. Byrd, not Dakota puppy , no staff member, no pharmacy! Fortunately I was able to schedule a videochat with our insurance doctor, who without have ever seen me, knew my history , the drugs I was given in the past 5 weeks and an alternative prescription for the inhaler Dr Byrd prescribed me! This won't end here! I will report this office to the justice and to my insurance! This place need to be SHUT DOWN! If you are reading this, do yourself a favor , go anywhere else BUT here! You won't find here any form of healthcare! You will find an incompetent staff, an o overweight doctor on drugs just like the ones she loves to push on her patients!

The ability to do lab work on site makes visits a lot easier. I have always been able to get an appointment when needed. The doctors are also very responsive when I send messages via their portal. I recently switch to their cardiology service. They offer doctors, stress test and echo-cardiogram services all on site. I met with the cardiologist Dr Saraiya on two occasions. He was prompt, personable and thorough. I recommend Selma Medical and Dr. Dr Saraiya.

Dr Ott…read more I want to publicly thank Dr. Ott at Selma Medical Center for the exceptional care and advocacy she recently provided me during a very serious medical situation. I have suffered from blood clots in my legs and lungs for more than 10 years. A few weeks ago, I went to the ER and was diagnosed again with blood clots and placed on blood thinners. During my follow-up appointment, Dr. Ott became very concerned about my condition and instructed me to return to Winchester Medical Center to be admitted for surgical treatment. Unfortunately, after spending nearly five hours in the ER, I was seen briefly by the ER physician, who never examined my leg and discharged me home. Dr. Ott did not accept that outcome. She spent hours personally investigating what had happened, reviewing records, identifying multiple errors in the ER doctor's report, and tirelessly advocating on my behalf until I was finally admitted to the hospital for the surgery I needed. What impressed me most was that she did all of this while continuing to manage a full day of patients. I later learned that the delays this caused in her schedule led to complaints from others, yet she never stopped fighting for my care and safety. Dr. Ott's compassion, professionalism, persistence, and willingness to advocate for her patient may very well have saved me from a much more serious outcome. In today's healthcare world, physicians like her are rare and deserve to be recognized. I will never forget the kindness and dedication she showed me. Thank you, Dr. Ott.

At 20 minutes in, I contacted the office to let them know they haven't called me and I had no more time allotted in my schedule to accommodate the appointment. I asked for a refund. They said the doctor would have to authorize it. It wasn't until 35 minutes after my appointment that they called. I informed the doctor that I could attend the appointment for it being 35 minutes late and that I wanted a refund (100$ out of pocket) and my prescription filled. The doctor specifically said he would issue the refund and a 30 day prescription for my medication. I hang up and shortly get a call from the office stating that the doctor has said that if I didn't pay 125$ that I would have to find another psychiatrist. I was furious and explained that the doctor just told me over the phone that I would be given a refund. They repeated the same thing, so I hung up and called the doctor from the phone number I was given multiple times with no answer. I left a message stating that I was told I would get a refund and would continue calling until it had been received. After a half hour of this, I received a call from the office stating I would receive the refund. This place can never give an appointment on time, hardly cares about the patient as the visits only last 10-15 minutes for me. They aren't truly invested in their clients and their well-being. They only want to get you in and out the door with as many clients as possible to make money. If you want person-centered focus and care, you will absolutely NOT get it here.
