Her depth of knowledge is truly extraordinary -- she seems to know something about almost everything. At times it feels like she could write her own encyclopedias. But what makes her stand out even more is her ability to take complex medical information and break it down into clear, practical, easy-to-understand explanations. She empowers her patients with knowledge instead of overwhelming them with it. She is empathetic, relatable, and refreshingly human. She brings humor into difficult conversations, making you feel comfortable and understood, never judged. You can tell she genuinely cares -- not just about symptoms, but about the whole person sitting in front of her. Beyond her clinical work, she gives back to the community, mentors and trains other physicians, and raises the standard of care for everyone. She even creates educational videos so that people who aren't her patients can benefit from her insight and guidance. She goes above and beyond to make sure her patients have the tools, resources, and confidence they need. If you are looking for a psychiatrist who is brilliant, compassionate, and deeply committed to women's health and advocacy, you will not find anyone better.

There were many new treatments and medications available that Dr Chawla recommended. He gave me samples and advised me on which of the new drugs he has had the best experiences with. This was good news because my gp had advised me it was not the best to continue with Triptans since I am now over 50 and they can cause hardening of the arteries. He also advised me on a complicated medical problem I am having (thoracic outlet syndrome.) Some medical issues are so complicated it can be unclear where to go for treatment. Dr. Chawla gave me names of Doctors to contact for help in this area. Finally I will say everything else about the visit was also nice. I was seen quickly, the staff was nice, organized and friendly. The location of the office was easy to get to and parking was convenient.

The bright side is the office has recently developed an online appointment booking system, so I've no reason to call in and wait forever. Would recommend Dr. Chawla to anyone!

When I called to inquire about walk-in availability, the male receptionist who answered sounded as if he was half-asleep and was very difficult to understand. I genuinely could not make out what he was saying, so I politely asked him to repeat himself. Instead of clarifying, he responded in a blunt and dismissive tone. The whole interaction felt unnecessarily rude and unprofessional. To top it off, right as I was wrapping up the call and saying "okay thank you," he hung up on me before I even finished my sentence. That lack of basic courtesy left a really negative impression. Again, I have no complaints about the doctors or the actual care, but the attitude of the person answering the phones makes a huge difference in how patients perceive the office. First impressions matter, and this one was disappointing.

I have been a patient at LSFP for 25 years. This practice is a shadow of what it once was. The…read moredecline has been gradual, but steady, and has reached a point where I can't recommend avoiding this practice enough. Appointments now consist of basic questions and exams that barely touch the service of issues. My last physical didn't even include a hernia exam, and I'm a 39 year old male with a history of hernias. The nurse practitioners they have on staff are under-qualified at best. The front desk staff are rude, and the intake nurses are also unprofessional. This practice has lost any idea of what customer service means and seems to now be an appointment mill that bills your insurance for telling you to buy some Motrin and get some bed rest. Today was the last straw for us. My wife recently gave birth naturally and our OBGYN recommended we see our PCP for a referral for physical therapy for a month from now to help get her back on her feet and speed her recovery. We called and scheduled an appointment for this specific purpose with the front desk who confirmed that they could give a referral for PT. After waiting for an hour, my wife was seen by a family nurse practitioner that took her temperature and blood pressure, checked her height and weight, eyes and ears, and listened to her breathing. Then, without any examination of her pelvic floor muscles, said that PT 'wasn't indicated' at this time and we should come back for another appointment after our 6 week checkup with our OBGYN for ANOTHER appointment. She explained that we had been sent by the OBGYN to get a referral but the FNP refused to issue the referral and sent her packing. I went in to address this with the front desk and they gave me the run-around, then brought out a 'provider' who first said she had seen my wife but after having me explain the whole situation told me she was just the intake nurse, then asked me to re-explain the situation, then laughed when I said I didn't want to explain myself again and wanted to talk to the actual nurse that had seen my wife. All in all it was a nice hour and fifteen minutes absolutely wasted by the front desk and clinical staff because of their inability to listen and/or be upfront about what services they are willing and able to provide. To LSFP - if you can not or will not offer a service then perhaps your front desk staff shouldn't confirm the appointment for it. Your practice used to be great, and now it is a terrible place to go for care and competent customer service. I've had better customer service at McDonald's. Your front desk staff especially leaves a lot to be desired in the professionalism department. 25 years as a patient and I have never been treated the way I was treated today. We won't be back. Get it together.
