I am an experienced massage therapist and have certain expectations from AMTA-certified massage therapists. I signed up for a 50-minute Healer session with no extras since it was my first time visiting NOW. I let her know my left hand was sore and asked her not to go too deeply around the small area by my thumb that I showed her and she understood. But then, after working on my back for most of the session, she only worked on my hands and arms for a few minutes each! All other areas were addressed, briefly, BUT my feet, neck, and scalp were completely SKIPPED over. I wanted this to be the best massage I ever had as my daughter has gone to NOW Massage in Los Angeles and raves about it and knows how much I've needed one! It wasn't that. And I'm sad. There were many things the therapist did RIGHT and great, but there was a bit of a disconnect and I left feeling unbalanced rather than balanced, which is the goal of theHealer session.
