I would recommend to anyone looking for a fun get away, without a lot of everyday distractions (although you do still have cell reception). I am already trying to plan a time I can take my boyfriend back for a romantic weekend. We rolled into Evanston about 9:30 pm. Parking is free and there is plenty of it. Weston was at the front desk, a very friendly gentleman who had been working hard but was still personable and attentive. He very graciously, and without asking, put us on the third floor away from I-80. There are a few restaurants within walking distance, and the one we patronized, The Lincoln Highway Tavern, I recommend. Our room was clean, a must for my wife, spacious, and very nice. The beds were reasonably comfortable (I never sleep well away from home), and the room had the usual amenities, including a mini fridge, microwave, and hairdryer. The bathroom shower was a standard size, the water was hot and the pressure was adequate, and the bathroom fan worked well. It was very quiet; no complaints of noise. We did partake of the complimentary breakfast, which was open at 6:30 on Sunday, earlier than I'm used to, but very much appreciated since we wanted to get on the road quickly. The coffee was decent, the OJ yummy, and the scrambled eggs and biscuits were OK. The bacon was crispy but lukewarm, and the sausage, like so many hotels, appeared to be steamed instead of grilled, and was cold. The Hispanic woman attending the breakfast area was very nice. The female desk clerk checking us out was also pleasant. In the future, on trips to visit our son and his wife in Ft. Collins, we would definitely stay here again. It's a gem.

LOL. I just happened to be driving a load of belongings for a family member retiring to Nevada and I graciously decided to help drive their stuff to. There were many stops along the way but this was definitely one of the most scenic road stops I've ever been to. It has been a while since that drive but checking some of my in draft reviews, I saw I had this hanging waiting to be finished. I can't believe this stop only has one review which is why I wanted to boost the profile. The bathrooms and facilities are clean and the parking is spacious but the best part is this beautiful canyon side view. Don't miss this narrow walking path to a higher point where you can take super picturesque shots of the canyon. It is behind the Welcome to Utah sign and bring some water for the steep incline. This was unexpected and I ended up spending way longer than usually checking out the grounds. As I recall, looking at my photos, there was a squirrel that followed me around. He was friendly but kept his distance, I wish I had some food for my new friend, I think he just wanted to make sure I saw all the best parts of the Canyon. He was the best tour guide ever. If I ever drive by Utah again, I'm sure I will stop here with some food my my little buddy and to take a breath and enjoy the view.
