Apparently, my last review was removed, possibly because my daughter helped to post it. Therefore, I am posting it, now. This is my review of my interactions with Alex Safarian of Block, LLP. I called Block, LLP for a free consultation as is advertised on their site. I went through their intake process and left my contact information but was not contacted for some time when I called back and spoke to a female paralegal who rudely snapped and said something to the effect of, "If you didn't hear from him [Alex Safarian], then he probably decided not to take your case." I explained I still hoped to speak to him to verify her guess and she did take a message for him to return my call, which he eventually did. Meanwhile, I sent my lease and other documentation. When Alex and I spoke, he said my case was not one their firm would accept because my medical issues were not severe enough and he drew my attention to a part of my lease where it says that attorneys fees are capped at $1,000 which was not lucrative for his firm. In this consultation, he gave me referrals to California State agencies to file discrimination claims, which were ultimately a waste of time and effort because one rejected my claim and another, after a long wait of days turning into weeks and weeks turning into months, basically responded that I should "hire an attorney." I attempted to contact Alex Safarian, again, to request to pay the retainer which was quoted to me, but another male legal assistant explained they would not be willing to accept my case on the merits because they did not believe they could win. Not only did Alex Safarian initially reject our case on a contingency basis, then on the basis of not being confident in his potential representation when I offered to pay their retainer, but he sent me on a course of filing claims which produced no viable results. Near the end of our phone conversation, Alex made a point of asking me to go online and leave a positive review. He was polite when he made this request and I kept it in the back of my mind believing that eventually if his advice to file State agency claims proved useful, I would leave more than a 1-star review, though not much higher of a rating since he refused my case even after I offered to pay the retainer, and of course, the initial strife it took to get past his female paralegal screener to even get the free consultation. I did attempt to contact Alex one additional time about a completely different matter and requested a response, but that was over a month ago and, as true to form, he did not respond. This is a true account despite Alex Safarian's success in protesting my first review posted with the help of my daughter. I have put this in my own words. read more

When I was the victim of a hit-and-run in Hollywood, one that tore my car door right from the frame as I was holding on for dear life, Ryan was the one to track down the drunk driver who plowed me over with no remorse.
