Poor communication is a major issue with this firm. It's extremely difficult to contact the case manager. In fact during the 8 months that they were supposed to be working on our case, they handed us over to, at least, 3 different case managers. All were difficult to reach. We left numerous messages and emails and they were mostly left unanswered. It wasn't until yesterday, 12/01/2025, that we were informed that they could not come to an agreement with the defendant and that they were handing us off to another "partner firm." Everything is so vague with them. There is no transparency. Our confidence is extremely low in regards to their professionalism. We cannot give a positive recommendation to this business for these reasons. Our advice to those who are considering this firm is to be cautious. Do your research. Ask questions. And if you don't get answers to your satisfaction, then move on. Don't jump at the first law firm you find. Be patient! Read the yelp and google reviews. Too much hangs in the balance for you to choose the wrong representation. We did not feel valued. We felt like they were just wasting our time. I am a struggling small business owner. I put my heart into my employees well being. After I had helped an employee and her son, the employee decided to leave employment to be a nanny for grandchild. All was amiable until two weeks later she first filed a workers comp case for one injury with one law firm then she filed a civil case and workers comp case with different claims with Abramson. The workers comp case went to my insurance but the civil case I had to deal with alone and I did. They kept filing claims, I proved fraudulent and they would change the story until I finally put my foot down and told them if they continued I would be filing suit against them for coercing my ex-employee into filing a fraudulent claim. The workers comp case was just as fraudulent as I had proof an injury had occurred during travels to Mexico as she took leave for falling off her truck and I had drs note. But getting workers comp attorneys to fight hard was difficult and 2.5 years later I get a letter saying they awarded her $19k and attorneys over $10k. The stress alone of this case has damaged me. I don't know how to report this but I'm starting here. This law firm is crooked. We need to stop the harm it is causing small business owners like me. read more

To anyone needing justice against a current or former employer PLEASE BE AWARE not to engage Abramson Labor Group in Burbank who offers to support on a contingent basis (ie; if you get a fair settlement they take 15% on worker's comp claims and 50% on wrongful terminations (discrimination etc) or if you don't get a fair settlement and have to take the defendant to court to get justice, if you don't win then you'd have to pay for their services). Well, I am here to tell you that after a year and a half of intake and supporting them with all the information and documentation they needed to get a fair settlement and constantly having to call them and push them to do ANYTHING to move my case forward timely on my wrongful termination case which is a slam dunk (as former employer offered me an annual salary full time position only to force me to punch a time clock and then often not allowing me access to the office to compete an 8 hour day 5 days a week. Additionally, my former employer also started forcing me take time off and advising I would still be paid but then I learned later paid me by advancing me vacation time that would normally accrue slower over time and forcing me to use that). This supposed labor law firm who touts getting justice for their clients REEKS of only working minimally to secure the 15% WC and 50% WrTm of fair settlements that can be achieved with little or no effort but when defendants avoid and put off endlessly hoping will go away, when it came to litigating due to a ridiculous offer of $500 for my wrongful termination case they generated a demand letter of over $200K based on my annual salary and egregious and law breaking behavior, when it came to my decision to finally take them to court, Abramson Law Group advised they did not want to litigate?! I have been trying now for several months to simply get an explanation as to why they not want to litigate and including driving up to their office and explaining everything to Anna H. the receptionist and that I at least deserve to understand why after all they had put me through they not want to litigate? I could not get after many messages to Zev Abramson, the owner of this incompetent law firm to call me or meet with me and now they have turned off my ability to email them so no choice but to start all over as couldn't provide me a referral to a competent labor law firm either! When I called week before last and asked to be transferred to Anna at the front desk (after having left a message a day or two before that which was not returned timely) as I had just 2 weeks before, their customer support rep lied to me and advised she couldn't transfer me to Anna after I had been transferred and spoke to Anna just 2 weeks before. The rep then also tried to advise me (after explaining for the umpteenth time what I still needed/hoping for) that their firm has criteria that has to be met to proceed with litigation. When I asked her, what criteria was not met, she advised "we don't have that" which is another line of bs/blatant lie. Their firm has criteria but they don't know or won't tell me which wasn't met with regards to my case? They assigned a jr lawyer Melissa who initially advised me that the defendant's lawyer had advised her he was not authorized to speak to her on his clients behalf. When she told me this, I told her, go back and ask him who is authorized as we are not going away without a reasonable settlement amount! While I did win a fair worker's comp claim settlement, after the settlement was offered, the defendant's insurer forgot to send the paperwork so my check could be processed, I was advised that rather than just reaching out to the defendant's workers comp insurer to remind they hadn't sent the papaerwork, instead they set up a hearing for 3 months out. While my colleague received his check promptly, I had to wait another 3 months to a few days before the hearing the defendants workers comp clain insurer realized hadn't sent the paperwork and so then did and the hearing was cancelled but I then waiting another month and a half more to finally receive my check on that. The fact that Zev Abramson would not simply return my many calls and messages nor agree to meet with me let alone review my case and simply advise why they not want to litigate, nor could provide me with a referral to a competent labor law firm so I could proceed with forcing a fair outcome on this, he's a scumbag with no integrity who was happy to get his 15% of my workers comp claim and sit in his glass house and not willing to provide reasonable closure for me on this. So, don't waste your time with Abramson Labor Group in Burbank as I'm confident you will regret it as I now do when I had hoped for a fair and reasonable outcome on my wrongful termination case, which I not only did not get, I couldn't even get an explanation as to why they decided not to litigate after putting me through hell and back with their incompetency. I can't, don't want to and will never again waste any more of my time on having anything to do with this "group". Therefore, just few copies out of a whole bunch of complaints i ended up filing against this "group" as a a result of their negligence and unprofessionalism will draw a perfect image of this "group" and it's true intentions. I am writing to formally lodge a complaint concerning the handling of my wrongful dismissal claim by your firm. The conduct and communication issues I have experienced throughout this process have caused me severe frustration and concern. At the outset, I engaged your firm and a non-attorney representative to assist me with my case. However, early in the process, I realized that the likelihood of success was low, and I notified the firm that I wished to discontinue the matter. Despite this, my request was ignored, and nearly nine months later, I received an email stating that settlement negotiations had begun with the opposing party. When I was informed of a settlement offer of $5,000, I instructed the non-attorney to accept it. After that point, communication from your office became extremely inconsistent. I made numerous attempts -- via phone calls and emails -- to obtain updates and clarification, but my calls were routinely unanswered, placed on long holds, or abruptly disconnected. My emails often went without response, and when I did manage to speak with staff members, they were dismissive and argumentative. After I eventually received the settlement agreement, I signed it and returned it promptly. However, I still did not receive timely updates from your office regarding the disbursement of the settlement funds. Months passed without any information. Recently, I received an email explaining that payment from the opposing side would not be issued until I removed certain "Google tags" -- a condition that was apparently part of the settlement agreement. This was the first time I had ever heard of such a condition. It had never been discussed with me before I was asked to sign the agreement. When I questioned the firm about this, I initially received evasive answers. Later, multiple staff members asserted that the non-attorney had already discussed this clause with me on a specific date, which is entirely untrue. Since then, every attempt I have made to contact your office has been met with hostility or outright termination of the call. I find it deeply concerning that, rather than addressing my complaint or clarifying the situation, your staff have resorted to denying my account and making false accusations. I request a full, written explanation of the following: 1. Why my request to terminate the case early on was ignored. 2. Why the settlement condition regarding the removal of Google tags was not disclosed or explained before I signed the agreement. 3. What actions your firm will take to correct this situation and ensure I receive the settlement funds promptly. Please treat this letter as a formal complaint and respond in writing within 3 business days. Terrible experience with this 'firm'. They took on a wrongful termination/retaliation/wage theft case for me from November 2025. Communication is terrible. After months of being on my case, they have an attorney call me a few days ago saying my old employer wants to settle for $5k. That's an absolute insult. What made it worse is that the Abrahamson attorney felt like I should take this offer. A wrongful termination case is usually worth about $60k by itself. Abrahamson Labor Group is a waste of time. I have a friend currently being represented by Abrahamson in a racial discrimination lawsuit. She said her attorney at Abrahamson called her a couple days ago and said her old employer wants to settle for $3k. Yes, a measly $3k. Abrahamson just let's the opposing attorney make an offer. No matter how small it is, Abrahamson will call you with this news as if you should take the offer. They will not go to bat for you. They will not litigate for you. One case they couldn't get the opposite council to negotiate or have meaniful dialog. It came to the point they gave up on the case without even throwing a punch. I was told that they were going to refer my case out to trial attorneys because they don't have a attorney that handles trials. In fact the state bar of California attorney registrar doesn't pull them up as a verified group. My other case was a workers compensation case. That was handled and botched significantly. A morning I was appointed to have a zoom deposition the case manager never got out of bed. The administrative judge must've had petty on me because she gave me time to reach out to Abramsom labor group to see what was going on. The group had no answer. After countless calls I found out that the case manager quit the group. (I wonder what for) after a few months I got a call that the opposing council wished to settle. I agreed and was told by a certain date I would receive the payment. I didn't get that payment on that date. And Abramsom labor group was so evasive as to what was the problem. As like anyone in my situation I called a few times and emailed the group. During times I would call the phone operator hung up in my face twice. My emails were not responded to. After to weeks after I received the message they had my check. I asked to send it UPS or FedEx. They used USPS. I was irate. My envelope sat at the post office for almost 2 more weeks. I finally got the payment close to a month after the deadline. I out of respect emailed Nada to say I received the check. You know she never responded say congratulations or thank you for making them aware that I received the check. Reason; "Unfortunately, the other law firms concluded they also would not file a lawsuit because it is not economically feasible based on the evidence available to us." I emailed Monday November 25, 2024. "It's been a year, Every one of my direct questions have been avoided and unanswered. No more empty statements. I want communication transcript with opposing party. I've been kept in the dark, unable to make any informed decisions. Secondly I filed another claim with the same company and the case sat on someone's desk while they were on disability from work and that case had to be referred out to another attorney and that took over a month for another attorney to contact me to except the case. Just for my company to do the exact same harassment they did before a year later. I filed with Abramson again only to have my case thrown out because they can't take on the case. I asked them how is that possible if it the same thing that happened to me before they told me because we don't handle those kind of cases, But yet I have all these pictures and videos of the harassment taking place and they won't even review it.
