I needed a law firm to assist with a Workers Comp case. I researched law firms. This law firm had good reviews, thus I contacted them, and began the hiring process. Later, I read more reviews, and they were not so good. However, knowing about how law firms function, I felt the complaints had no merit. Some clients were upset because they never spoke to an attorney. To set things straight. A good law firm will hire interns and case workers. A case worker will be assigned to a client. That case worker will take all information provided by the client and forwarded to the attorneys. Interns will prepare all the documents. The attorneys will put their name on the documents and go to court. Mind you, students and interns will do a fantastic job for the client as they're proving themselves to the law firm. Students need hours working at a law firm and performing well will definitely help them find employment once they graduate. Rather than complain that you were not contacted by an attorney, be thankful that Abramson Labor Group was intelligent enough to bring in students and interns that will do their best to help you. Furthermore, cases take time. Give the law firm time to get your case moving forward. Calling them and asking about your case slows down progress. Relax and let them do their job. Remember, they only get paid if they win. So they're going to do their best. read more

I truthfully cannot recommend this law firm if you're pursuing an employment case or dealing with any serious legal matter. The communication has been absolutely horrible. Before I retained them, they called and followed up constantly to get me to sign with the firm. But once I became a client, the communication completely changed. I rarely hear from anyone, and when I do, I've spoken with multiple different attorneys who have told me they are "in charge" of my case. The case manager has also been extremely unhelpful. He often doesn't seem to have any information about my case, and I'm left more confused after our conversations than I was before. I genuinely do not understand what is happening with my case or what the next steps are. At this point, I feel like I've wasted a significant amount of time. I've also done my own research on the firm, and it appears they have a lot of newer attorneys who come and go, with cases seemingly being passed around and attorneys constantly rotating. When you're dealing with something as important as an employment case, communication, consistency, transparency, and having an attorney who actually knows your case are extremely important. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience with this firm. I regret having to write this review, but based on my personal experience, I cannot in good conscience recommend Abramson Labor Group. I approached the firm regarding discrimination I experienced while serving as a member and employee of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Pacheco Lodge No. 117, in Concord. The firm initially accepted my case and prepared a lengthy demand letter seeking approximately $65,000. As I recall, the proposed resolution would have left me with only about $30,000--an amount I believed was inadequate considering what I and other LGBT members had endured. Several weeks later, I discovered that the demand letter had apparently been sent to the wrong recipients. In my experience, the firm did not meaningfully follow up or take further action, and I saw little progress being made on my behalf. I eventually retained different counsel who immediately filed my claims with the court and actively pursued the matter. The ultimate recovery was considerably greater than the amount contemplated in Abramson Labor Group's original demand, and I will always be grateful to my subsequent counsel for the diligence and commitment they demonstrated. The controversy ultimately extended well beyond my individual case. Other individuals came forward with accounts of discrimination within their own lodges. I also later learned of serious financial allegations involving the organization, including reports of more than $4 million in allegedly misappropriated funds and related legal claims against certain members. My experience left me with the impression that Abramson Labor Group placed greater emphasis on writing a demand letter than on actively pursuing litigation. I can speak only to my own case, but I did not feel that my claims were handled with the urgency, diligence, or determination they deserved. Uses multiple call centers out of country. Representatives can be hard to understand especially when they are eating while processing your intake information. You cannot speak with an attorney or get information regarding your case in a timely matter. It took over forever for them to just send a demand letter. My lawyer disappeared without telling anyone informing me. I was reassigned to a lawyer who had a member of one of the outsourced centers call me asking for information they had been given previously. I requested multiple times to speak to the attorney handling my case. It never happened. When I called back to ascertain what was going on their call center representatives kept transferring me and hanging up on me and were extremely rude. I had waited months for nothing to take place. Poor communication is a major issue with this firm. It's extremely difficult to contact the case manager. In fact during the 8 months that they were supposed to be working on our case, they handed us over to, at least, 3 different case managers. All were difficult to reach. We left numerous messages and emails and they were mostly left unanswered. It wasn't until yesterday, 12/01/2025, that we were informed that they could not come to an agreement with the defendant and that they were handing us off to another "partner firm." Everything is so vague with them. There is no transparency. Our confidence is extremely low in regards to their professionalism. We cannot give a positive recommendation to this business for these reasons. Our advice to those who are considering this firm is to be cautious. Do your research. Ask questions. Nothing more than a waste of time. I came to them a while ago with a case against my work. They had told me they would help me and get what i was owed for months. It was so hard to get in contact with them or get any updates or information on the case. Months later they come to me with a settlement number that was calculated from thin air using wrong information. Therefore, just few copies out of a whole bunch of complaints i ended up filing against this "group" as a a result of their negligence and unprofessionalism will draw a perfect image of this "group" and it's true intentions. I am writing to formally lodge a complaint concerning the handling of my wrongful dismissal claim by your firm. The conduct and communication issues I have experienced throughout this process have caused me severe frustration and concern. At the outset, I engaged your firm and a non-attorney representative to assist me with my case. However, early in the process, I realized that the likelihood of success was low, and I notified the firm that I wished to discontinue the matter. Despite this, my request was ignored, and nearly nine months later, I received an email stating that settlement negotiations had begun with the opposing party. When I was informed of a settlement offer of $5,000, I instructed the non-attorney to accept it. After that point, communication from your office became extremely inconsistent. I made numerous attempts -- via phone calls and emails -- to obtain updates and clarification, but my calls were routinely unanswered, placed on long holds, or abruptly disconnected. My emails often went without response, and when I did manage to speak with staff members, they were dismissive and argumentative. After I eventually received the settlement agreement, I signed it and returned it promptly. However, I still did not receive timely updates from your office regarding the disbursement of the settlement funds. Months passed without any information. Recently, I received an email explaining that payment from the opposing side would not be issued until I removed certain "Google tags" -- a condition that was apparently part of the settlement agreement. This was the first time I had ever heard of such a condition. It had never been discussed with me before I was asked to sign the agreement. When I questioned the firm about this, I initially received evasive answers. Later, multiple staff members asserted that the non-attorney had already discussed this clause with me on a specific date, which is entirely untrue. Since then, every attempt I have made to contact your office has been met with hostility or outright termination of the call. I find it deeply concerning that, rather than addressing my complaint or clarifying the situation, your staff have resorted to denying my account and making false accusations. I request a full, written explanation of the following: 1. Why my request to terminate the case early on was ignored. 2. Why the settlement condition regarding the removal of Google tags was not disclosed or explained before I signed the agreement. 3. What actions your firm will take to correct this situation and ensure I receive the settlement funds promptly. Please treat this letter as a formal complaint and respond in writing within 3 business days. In fact the state bar of California attorney registrar doesn't pull them up as a verified group. My other case was a workers compensation case. That was handled and botched significantly. A morning I was appointed to have a zoom deposition the case manager never got out of bed. The administrative judge must've had petty on me because she gave me time to reach out to Abramsom labor group to see what was going on. The group had no answer. After countless calls I found out that the case manager quit the group. (I wonder what for) after a few months I got a call that the opposing council wished to settle. I agreed and was told by a certain date I would receive the payment. I didn't get that payment on that date. And Abramsom labor group was so evasive as to what was the problem. As like anyone in my situation I called a few times and emailed the group. During times I would call the phone operator hung up in my face twice. My emails were not responded to. After to weeks after I received the message they had my check. I asked to send it UPS or FedEx. They used USPS. I was irate. My envelope sat at the post office for almost 2 more weeks. I finally got the payment close to a month after the deadline. I out of respect emailed Nada to say I received the check. You know she never responded say congratulations or thank you for making them aware that I received the check.
