I went with…read moresome co-workers and I had the best experience in any restaurant I have ever been to in Hamburg, period. To start the service was outstanding! The owner was actually out there helping seat, serve, and take orders. He also recommended and described dishes in great detail. The atmosphere is also nice, its modern decor and prefect size made everything even better. The food was absolutely delicious. The steak literally melted in your mouth. You could cut the steak with your fork it was that tender! I had a 300g Rib Eye, Green Beans, and a Baked Potato. The green beans looked like they had been cooked on a grill and bathed in herb butter. The wine that was recommended was just the cherry on top. Prices are reasonable for a steakhouse and you could get a good steak for under 20€. I would defiantly recommend this place and will also be returning several times! It's a hidden gem in Hamburg since it's not on any main walkway or near any train stops but still very easy to find. Everyone should check it out.

And, it was cooked perfectly to my medium rare request. The issue? 4! Count them--four 6 inch sprigs of fresh Rosemary on the hot plate under the steak overwhelming it with herby fumes! 1 would have sufficed! Four is enough to offend and halt an angry Water Buffalo at full waddle. Then the green beans were cooked squishy and had heavy butter. What happened to steaming so there is still a firm bite? And the steak sauce was an odd concoction of tomato cocktail sauce with onions??? For my premium steak? A horseradish Mayo with steak drippings would have been more interesting for a house steak sauce... The fries? Perfect. The 500g T bone (porterhouse actually with giant filet lobe) was a generous portion. The server crew oozed warm hospitality--bravo. The kitchen crew looked depressed. Maybe they knew that I would not enjoy my steak

An Argentinian Steakhouse is what they are going for here. It's a great spot with indoor and…read moreoutdoor seating. For our appetizer, we went with the shrimp cocktail. The shrimp didn't seem the freshest and it was drowning in sauce so it was just ok. For our entrees, we naturally went with the steaks that came with a side of a baked potato with sour cream on it. We tried to order the steaks medium rare but the steaks were more on the rare side. That was fine by me, the flavors of the steak still came out very well. The ambiance is really nice, as its a bit darker inside and they have candles on all the tables. There seemed to be a birthday going on at a couple of tables away from us. It was really cute, they turned up the music and served the birthday boy dessert with a whole bunch of sparklers in it. Not sure if the family arranged that or if the restaurant does that usually for birthdays but it was cute. At the end of your meal, its nice that that they also offer you a little after dinner drink. We had the amaretto, which was a great end to our meal and nice to know that it was included and was not extra. I will be back whenever I have a craving for steaks soon!

Now my side dish may have stole the show. Mashed potatoes with sautéed shallots and black truffles! So amazing! So if ever in Hamburg Germany hit this place up!

All I can assume is perhaps the guy working that night is an illegal immigrant, because he got seriously angry at my camera - unfortunately because of the language barrier I couldn't explain that I only cared about photographing his cool pizza oven. Anyway at least he gave me my EUR2 back, but still it's an unacceptable attitude in a service industry. He didn't have be so unpleasant about it. I hope it was just a misunderstanding. Anyway the pizza is pretty good and only EUR2 for a 7 pizza. Pretty good on the Reeperbahn. Sadly I ended up in a local burger joint instead this time.

The waiter didn't speak much english, so we had a tough time fixing any issues after we ordered, but the fact that the meal was so inexpensive some what made up for it. He completely forgot one of my colleague's side salads and brought out an OPEN bottle of cotes du rhone wine. What? Open bottle? I freaked out a bit when I saw it was open, but it actually tasted really delicious so we didn't say anything (not that he would've understood what we said anyways). Service was a bit slow considering it was one waiter for the entire restaurant, but the speed is to be expected of a European restaurant. I might come back for dinner if I'm craving a steak. Entire bill for 3 people with drinks (a beer and a bottle of wine), 3 steaks w/ sides was like $50. What a steal. He also didn't bring a bottle of water after we requested it (tap only), so that was unfortunate.
