I had bi-weekly payments of $25 so $50 a month. However, 8 months into my year contract they would bill me $40+ instead of my usual $25 every two weeks. Every time I had to call ABC Financial and ask why I was getting over charged. They said it was a "late fee". Mind you, my payments were set up to come out every other Friday but when I was getting charge this "late fee" they started billing me on the Tuesday or Wednesday. I also pointed this out to the rep for ABC financial and they said that my bank (TD at the time) was no allowing the payment to go through for the Friday. I end up calling TD and talked to a rep asking why my payments were being on hold from Friday and being allowed on the Tuesday/Wednesday. Turns out, there was no "hold" on my account when Anytime Fitness would bill me on the Friday but instead they were billing me for the Tuesday/Wednesday for the full amount of $40+. There was also no history of Anytime fitness trying to bill me for the Friday. The representative at TD said that this was a common thing where billing companies push the date to a few days later and charge the customer the "late fee" where they did not process the original transaction at the original date scheduled. He also advised me not to give them my banking information if they asked for it as I had given them my debit visa for my payments! So it happens again another 2 times where I call, complain and get my refund of $15. At that time I told the rep for ABC financial that it has been going on for about 3/4 months now where twice a month I have to call back and get my $15 back for this "late fee". The ABC financial rep said "that's weird. Maybe if you gave us your direct deposit it will stop charging you a late fee". YEAH RIGHT. I gave them another month to see if this would continue on and if they would charge me another $15 late fee to my bi-weekly payments. It did and I was fed up. I went to the bank and pretended I lost my debit visa so that the one they had on file was voided. Why would I pay an $80 cancellation fee if they couldn't get their business in order and rip off people an extra $15 to their payments?? If I hadn't noticed I would have been paying an extra $150 due to fraudulent late fees! I mean I had about 2 months of them calling to pay my bi-weekly membership bill but they already freeze your account when you're 7 days late in a payment AND I already paid in advance, the last 30 days when you cancel your membership. TLDR: Don't sign up with them if you don't want to waste your time getting your fake "late fee" funds back every payment.

I used to have a membership here and was paying around $12-$13 biweekly before I canceled it last June, so I was pretty surprised to see the current drop-in fee at $21. I clearly remember it being about $12 a year ago, which is nearly a 50% increase and feels excessive. If the pricing--especially the drop-in rate--was more reasonable, this would easily be a higher-rated gym.

I've looked at 3 other FW gyms...they don't match the FRIENDLY community we have here in Richmond which is why I highly recommend this place along with their talented personal trainers. Speaking of friendly trainers, my personal trainer Jay Fayyaz and I were immensely compatible. Without his tailored program, motivation, and the numerous form corrections and workouts he showed me...my fitness goal (bulking up then cutting to lean) would have taken years longer to achieve on my own. With him pushing me to achieve heavier sets and getting those last few reps, I was able to see muscle mass growth, body fat loss, and overall healthy weight gain in the 2months I've worked with him. Here are some reasons why I recommend Jay. Friendly, kind, funny, positive healthy attitude, HONEST & transparent, growth & development mindset. He makes you work for your money not the other way around. You will definitely see gains with him. But understand that hard work and results mostly comes from yourself and PTs are only there to guide you towards your goals. If you don't eat healthy, have 10 cheat meals each week, and expect to 6-pack abs and giant hulking arms in two weeks you will be at the gym forever with the wrong foundations. But with a personal trainer, they will see what your specific needs are and tailor their program to you. Overall, I'm very satisfied with my experience here and I would recommend to sign up with a personal trainer that is compatible with you. The right trainer will give you the workouts and motivation that works for you. But without one, you can still enjoy working out casually if you know what you're doing. For the vast majority of us who are new to the gym, having a personal trainer teaching you and correcting your form is immensely valuable.

Replay's sports bar has some great healthy options and of course the regular bar foods ie. wings, burgers and beer. Food is good, price is a little expensive for a sports bar attached to a gym. The gym has lots of equipment although free weights are mostly on the far because of the lack of etiquette from other members. Big plus is a super clean and fairly large private women's only section. There is enough equipment in this area that girls don't have to leave and visit the co-ed section. They also teach mixed martial arts here with two studios, a ring and lots of punching bags. It's not the prettiest gym but for $20ish a month and 24/7 hours you can't really complain. They just need better decor and to check the equipment regularly.

The womens section is way smaller than back then. They now allow people over 55 to go into this small girls section which makes me feel SUPER uncomfortable because there's older men who just watch you workout behind and beside you ( even if there's 1 person in the co ed area). This is something I'd like for them to change. I assume the purpose of having a girls area is so women can feel comfortable working out without feeling self conscious. Other than that, they have a lot of equipment and is open 247. They have ample of showers and lockers (bring a lock for lockers) They also have parking. Please change the women area to an actual women area. It's SUPER awkward to have older men in such a small area working out with you. It forces me to either go the co ed section or forces me to go into womens change area ( they have mats) when I purposely signed up to use the girls section.
